Abstract

This article or writing aims to discuss or find out about a problem that arises in the literature review of thirty journals related to the quality of student services so that later a policy model or framework can be provided to answer existing problems. The problems found in the literature review are focused on public services or student services. To approach this problem, Edward's theory is used as a reference, which consists of four variables, namely those related to communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure variables. Then the data is taken or collected through literature study or analysis of the thirty journals and then analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the Student Service Policy Model Innovation produces a model consisting of five alternative policy concepts or a mixture of public service models and public policy implementation models, namely Improving Financial Management, Development of Infrastructure and Digital Services, Improvement of Administrative Services, Improvement of Assurance and Empathy Aspects and Optimization of Library Services.

Abstract

Gen-Z is currently the center of attention of political actors ahead of the 2024 elections. This generation has an important role in holding the relay for Indonesia's future leadership. Preparing Gen Z to meet this is of course an issue. The implementation method that will be used in this community service activity is in the form of mentoring activities for Lingua Prima Vocational School students in building intelligent political character by increasing their understanding and knowledge of politics. The activities carried out provide material in the form of lectures containing explanations regarding the importance of having knowledge and understanding of the political system and the important role of the younger generation in politics. Young people who are politically intelligent need to have a strong character base, which is instilled in generation Z through character building. The importance of character building in this generation is to help them face complex moral and ethical challenges in the modern world. With strong character building, generation-Z is expected to become young people who have strong principles, understand the importance of authority in politics, and make positive contributions to society. With strong character and a good understanding of politics, the young generation can become agents of positive change in politics and their society. Of course, students need a broad understanding of knowledge regarding political education and politically intelligent young people.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of good governance in village development planning meetings (Musrenbangdes) in Pulau Semambu based on the principles of good governance according to Sedarmayanti, namely accountability, transparency, participation, and rule of law. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were used through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results showed that the implementation of good governance in the Village Development Planning Meeting in Semambu Pulau did not fulfill all the principles of good governance (1) In terms of accountability, the government had not yet formed an organizing team and a Musrenbangdes guiding team ; (2) In terms of transparency, there is still minimal outreach by the government; (3) In terms of participation, there has been a decrease in the level of community participation; (4) In terms of the rule of law, lack of knowledge of organizers regarding the guidelines and rules. The advice given in this study is to provide training and guidance related to the implementation procedures of Musrenbangdes, as well as involve academics and other facilitators to provide assistance and provide understanding regarding the ideal concept of organizing Musrenbangdes by the guidelines. The government should also provide a web-based information system to disseminate information.

Abstract

Currently, the complexity of the problems faced by the younger generation is increasing, including the lack of ability to explore potential and create opportunities in the environment. This results in a lack of support for work programs, which ultimately hinders the progress of society. One effective solution is training and assistance in developing strategies and managing youth programs. This activity is carried out with the aim of encouraging increased understanding of management and skills in preparing strategic plans, especially for youth organizations. The involvement of 25-30 participants in the Bende Seguguk youth organization in Ogan Komering Ilir, using training and workshop methods, consultations, FDGs, and measuring results through pre-tests and post-tests, has shown a significant increase. Before the training, only 9% of participants understood the strategic plan. After the training, this figure jumped to 93%. This success emphasizes the importance of strategic planning in organizations. Increasing understanding and management skills will enable youth organizations to better face challenges, as well as optimize their potential to have a positive impact on local community development.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemilih pemula menjadi perhatian utama aktor politik menjelang Pemilu 2024. Kesiapan siswa SMA sebagai pemilih pemula menjadi isu penting mengingat peran mereka sebagai objek politik dalam Pilkada mendatang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan pemahaman tentang demokrasi guna membentuk generasi muda yang cerdas dalam berpartisipasi politik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi politik siswa terkait Pilkada. Metode pelaksanaan berupa pendampingan melalui pemberian materi dan diskusi. Hasil kegiatan terdiri dari dua tahapan utama. Pertama, penyampaian materi dan diskusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai demokrasi dan Pilkada. Kedua, evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pretest dan post-test menggunakan kuesioner. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa, kepala sekolah, guru pengampu, dan 30 siswa SMAN 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara. Sebelum kegiatan rata-rata pemahaman siswa didik sebesar 35,93% sedangkan setelah kegiatan menjadi meningkat 96,99%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan siswa sebagai pemilih pemula semakin meningkat, baik dalam memahami aturan Pilkada maupun dalam membangun kesadaran politik yang bertanggung jawab. Kata Kunci: pilkada; demokrasi; pemilih pemula. Abstract First-time voters have become a primary focus for political actors ahead of the 2024 elections. The readiness of high school students as first-time voters has become an important issue considering their role as political subjects in the upcoming regional elections. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the understanding of democracy to shape a generation of young people who are intelligent in political participation. This community service activity aims to enhance students' political literacy regarding local elections. The implementation method involves mentoring through the provision of materials and discussions. The results of the activity consist of two main stages. First, delivering material and discussions to enhance students' understanding of democracy and local elections. Second, the evaluation of the activities was conducted through pretests and post-tests using questionnaires. This activity involved lecturers, students, school principals, supervising teachers, and 30 students from SMAN 1 Unggulan Indralaya Utara. Before the activity, the average understanding of students was 35,93%  while after the activity it increased to 96,99%.This shows that the readiness of students as first-time voters is increasing, both in understanding the rules of the regional elections and in building responsible political awareness. Keywords: regional elections; democracy, first-time voters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kondisi Demografi Desa Sungai Rambutan yang heterogen dan merupakan kawasan Kota Terpadu Mandiri dan sebagai desa pusat pengembangan dan riset di Ogan Ilir. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyelenggaraan musrenbangdes dalam perspektif collaborative governance dan menggambarkan model aksi kolaborasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam penyelenggaraan Musrenbangdes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Wawancara mendalam dengan key informan, observasi, dan tinjauan pustaka. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara diolah dengan menggunakan Software NVIVO 12 Plus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyelenggaraan Musrenbangdes di Desa Sungai Rambutan belum maksimal. Minimnya sosialisasi dan pengetahuan terkait musrenbangdes berdampak terhadap rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dan tidak terselenggaranya serap aspirasi dalam bentuk musyawarah bertingkat dari level dusun. Selain itu penyelenggaraan musrenbangdes di Desa Sungai Rambutan juga terkendala ketersediaan anggaran dalam mengakomodir mayoritas usulan pembangunan fisik yang membutuhkan anggaran yang besar. Melalui Penelitian ini peneliti memberikan rekomendasi model tindakan kolaborasi dalam pelaksanaan musrenbangdes yang melibatkan akademisi dan pihak swasta sebagai bentuk pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk mengelola informasi tidak hanya penting untuk keberhasilan akademis, tetapi juga penting dalam mempersiapkan mereka untuk terjun di dunia kerja yang semakin bergantung pada teknologi informasi. Meskipun penguasaan teknologi pada siswa-siswa SMA IT Harapan Mulia sudah cukup tinggi, namun nyatanya tantangan seperti kurangnya keterampilan kritis dalam menilai keandalan informasi online, kegagalan dalam mengimplementasikan praktik keamanan informasi dengan baik, terbatasnya eksposur terhadap alat dan teknik manajemen informasi yang canggih di lingkungan pendidikan formal, dan ketergantungan berlebihan pada teknologi digital menjadi kendala dalam memanajemen dan mengelola informasi digital. SMA tersebut belum mempunyai kurikulum yang membahas mengenai pendidikan manajemen teknologi dan informasi, sehingga pembekalan bagi siswa mengenai topik tersebut menjadi hal yang sangat urgen. Untuk itu, tim pengabdian Universitas Sriwijaya melakukan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman manajemen dan teknologi informasi bagi generasi Z. Kegiatan berjalan dengan baik. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pemberian materi kepada siswa-siswa dengan ceramah, diskusi partisipatif dan pendampingan oleh ahli. Hasilnya adalah pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa-siwa menjadi meningkat diseluruh aspek dilihat dari pre-test dan post-test yang dibandingkan. Siswa-siswa sangat antusias dan menjadi lebih sadar akan pentingnya manajemen teknologi informasi.

Abstract

Urban flooding has emerged as a recurrent and escalating challenge in many Southeast Asian cities, including Palembang, Indonesia. Despite various mitigation efforts by local authorities, the effectiveness of such policies remains inconsistent, often due to limited community engagement. This study investigates the extent to which flood mitigation policies influence community participation and how this participation contributes to policy effectiveness. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 81 residents across 27 flood-prone neighborhoods using structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression models were employed to analyze the relationship between specific policy domains, particularly drainage improvement and waste management (P4), and levels of community engagement. The results reveal a strong positive correlation (r = 0.81) between P4 policy implementation and community participation, with regression analysis indicating that 67% of the variance in public engagement is explained by policy variables. These findings highlight the critical role of inclusive policy design, community-based monitoring, and education-driven interventions in flood risk reduction. However, challenges such as inconsistent enforcement and limited technological adoption remain. The study concludes by recommending the institutionalization of local task forces and curriculum-integrated environmental education to sustain community involvement. This research contributes to the literature on participatory disaster governance and provides actionable insights for urban policymakers and planners in the Global South.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu organisasi yang berperan dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan kapasitas pemuda, Karang Taruna menjadi sebuah organisasi penting yang memiliki peranan krusial dalam proses pembangunan desa. Karang taruna menjadi fasilitator yang turut berperan aktif dalam pengembangan kompetensi pemuda desa. Peningkatan kapasitas anggota Karang Taruna dalam mengelola pengorganisasian menjadi hal yang penting untuk dilakukan. Tim pengabdian mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan manajemen organisasi kepemudaan di Desa Banding Anyar Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir dengan tujuan untuk mendorong produktivitas organisasi karang taruna melalui peningkatan keterampilan manajerial organisasi. Metode yang interaktif dengan pemberian materi, forum diskusi dan pelatihan telah menunjukan keberhasilan program. Penilaian melalui metode pre-test dan post-test telah menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta kegiatan mengenai manajemen organisasi dalam rangka meningkatkan produktivitas kinerja Karang Taruna Desa Banding Anyar. Melalui kegiatan ini nantinya diharapkan para pengurus Karang Taruna dapat mengelola organisasinya dan mampu memaksimalkan peran Karang Taruna dalam Pembangunan Desa Banding Anyar. Oleh karena itu, dukungan dari pemerintah dan masyarakat setempat juga diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah kolaborasi dalam mendukung pembangunan Desa Banding Anyar secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Generasi muda Indonesia menghadapi krisis identitas dan memudarnya nilai kebangsaan akibat pengaruh globalisasi dan budaya asing. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Sriwijaya bersama Karang Taruna Desa Sungai Rengas I melaksanakan kegiatan pemutaran dan diskusi film bertema kepahlawanan, dengan fokus pada film “Jenderal Soedirman.” Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kebangsaan pemuda melalui pemutaran dan diskusi film Jenderal Soedirman. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup empat tahapan, yaitu pre-test, bedah film, penyampaian materi dan diskusi, dan post-test. Peserta sebanyak 30 pemuda Karang Taruna Desa Rengas I. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta dari 71% menjadi 100%. Dampak kegiatan terlihat dari meningkatnya pemahaman dan partisipasi generasi muda dalam kegiatan kebangsaan.
