Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy is a strategic government initiative design to enhanced university graduates’ employability and align higher education outcomes with the rapidly changing demands of the labor market. Through eight form off-campus learning program, MBKM aims to strengthen students’ hard and soft skills while bridging the gap between academia and industry. This study systematically reviews literature published between 2020 and 2025 that discusses the implementation of MBKM in developing students’ work competencies. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was applied to analyze 30 articles sourced from Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA databases. Thematic synthesis was used to identify five key themes: implementation forms, effectiveness on work competencies, supporting factors, implementation barriers, and ideal models for employability. The findings indicate that MBKM effectively enhances students’ employability, particularly in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Nevertheless, challenges remain in the form of inadequate infrastructure, limited lecturer readiness, and inconsistent assessment standards. This review recommends the establishment of an outcome-based evaluation system and sustained collaboration between higher education institutions and industry stakeholders.

Abstract

Character education is education that helps and facilitates students to develop into perfect human beings and human beings. This study aims to determine the strategies and obstacles faced by Islamic religious education teachers in building the disciplinary character of students at SMA N 1 IV Koto. This type of research is the author's. used is field research (field research) which aims to describe, an accurate picture of the facts of the phenomenon that is being stalled. The key informants in this study were students at SMA N 1 IV Koto and PAI teachers, school principals, and colleagues as supporting informants. The results of research conducted at SMA N 1 IV Koto show that the strategies of PAI teachers in shaping the disciplinary character of students at SMA N 1 IV Koto with direct education include: example, advice, training, competition, and habituation. While education indirectly, including: prohibition, correction, supervision and punishment. The obstacles found in the formation of student discipline character are the lack of student interest, lack of understanding of student and family knowledge.

Abstract

This study uses qualitative data analysis methods that emphasize certain cases that occur in the object of analysis. This method uses descriptive analysis to analyze the data. The informants in this study were three married couples in mixed marriages of the Tapanuli and Minang tribes in Durian Kadap Village, Pasaman Regency. Meanwhile, to analyze the collected data, the author used data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The result of the research show that the process of intercultural communication can be well established and effective between the three pairs. Mixed marriages occur when the fat of ethnocentrism is removed. The way to overcome ethnocentrism is to be open and willing to learn about other people’s cultures. All informants have tried to respect and appreciate, acknowledge cultural differences in marriage and follow the culture of their partners. There is a change in perspective (religion, values and behavior) based on the head of the family. The direction of adaptation and assimilation (assimilation) is related to the heads of families from both the Minang and Tapanuli tribes. Domination of ethnicity and culture by the Minang ethnic group also occurs in the Tapanuli ethnic group. Keywords: Communication Intercultural, Assimilation Marriage and Ethnocentrism

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan vokasi pada satuan pendidikan menengah kejuruan seperti SMKN 1 Bukittinggi menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan kompetensi staf dan pemanfaatan infrastruktur yang sub optimal. Situasi ini berdampak pada kualitas lulusan, baik dari segi kemampuan kerja maupun pengembangan karakter profesional yang beretika dan bertanggung jawab. Tantangan ini menekankan pentingnya strategi pengembangan pendidikan vokasi yang tidak hanya menekankan penguasaan keterampilan teknis tetapi juga mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam sebagai kerangka pembentukan karakter. Pendidikan Islam dipandang sebagai sumber nilai-nilai yang memperkuat etika kerja, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab profesional dalam pendidikan vokasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi inovatif untuk pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan infrastruktur pendidikan, menggunakan pendekatan berbasis nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam, untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi secara holistik. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang meliputi fase analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Fase analisis dilakukan melalui survei, wawancara dengan 50 responden, observasi lapangan, dan analisis SWOT. Fase desain dan pengembangan difokuskan pada pengembangan program pelatihan dan peningkatan fasilitas pembelajaran, dengan menekankan nilai-nilai kejujuran, disiplin, dan etika kerja Islami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi staf sebesar 28 persen dan peningkatan pemanfaatan infrastruktur sebesar 85 persen. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam ke dalam pengembangan pendidikan kejuruan secara signifikan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas dan karakter lulusan. Kata kunci: Pengembangan SDM, Sarana Prasarana, Strategi Inovatif Abstract: Vocational education in vocational high schools such as SMKN 1 Bukittinggi faces challenges such as limited staff competency and suboptimal infrastructure utilization. This situation impacts the quality of graduates, both in terms of employability and the development of ethical and responsible professional character. These challenges emphasize the importance of a vocational education development strategy that emphasizes not only the mastery of technical skills but also integrates Islamic educational values ​​as a framework for character formation. Islamic education is seen as a source of values ​​that strengthen work ethics, honesty, and professional responsibility in vocational education. This study aims to formulate an innovative strategy for human resource development and educational infrastructure, using an Islamic educational values-based approach, to holistically improve the quality of vocational education. The research methodology uses the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The analysis phase was conducted through surveys, interviews with 50 respondents, field observations, and a SWOT analysis. The design and development phase focused on developing training programs and improving learning facilities, emphasizing the values ​​of honesty, discipline, and Islamic work ethics. The study results showed a 28 percent increase in staff competency and an 85 percent increase in infrastructure utilization. These findings confirm that integrating Islamic educational values ​​into vocational education development significantly contributes to improving the quality and character of graduates.
