Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan  kajian teks dengan analisis framing Robert N Entman dengan Teori Agenda Setting untuk menggambarkan  proses seleksi dan realitas media.  Objek  penelitian  ini  adalah  laporan  utama  majalah  Tempo  edisi  20-26 Januari  2020  terkait  kasus  yang  melibatkan  Harun  Masiku.  Hasil  peneitian  ini memperlihatkan Tempo cenderung mengemas berita yang menyorot pemerintah tidak serius dalam pemberantasan korupsi, kolusi, dan nepotisme (KKN) di Indonesia.  Tempo menyikapi  kasus suap yang menyorot Harun Masiku  sebagai permasalahan   kekuasaan   dari  partai  PDIP   yang  merambah   pada  beberapa institusi terkait. Harun Masiku dilihat hanya sebagai salah satu aktor kekuasaan yang   sebenarnya   ada   pada   kekuasaan   terstruktur   yang   saling   berkaitan, termasuk kaitannya dengan presiden dan DPR. Tempo memposisikan KPK secara institusi menjadi korban dari kekuasaan luar yang masuk dalam institusi KPK yang seharusnya  independen.  Pada  akhirnya  Tempo  menyorot  rekomendasi   agar kasus Harun Masiku diusut tuntas, termasuk  penindakan  pada aktor lain yang terkait.  Tempo  melihat  kekuasaan  tersebut  sebagai  strategi  yang  dirancang secara sistematis yang dimulai dari perubahan Undang-Undang terkait KPK yang justru melemahkan KPK.Kata Kunci: Harun Masiku, PDIP, KPK, Tempo, Framing AbstractThis  research  is  a  text  study  with  Robert  N  Entman's  framing  analysis  with Agenda Setting theory to describe the selection process and media  reality. The object of this research  is the main report of the 20-26 January 2020 edition of Tempo magazine regarding the case involving Harun Masiku. The results of this research show that Tempo tends to publish news that highlights that the government is not serious in eradicating corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) in Indonesia. Tempo is addressing the bribery case that highlighted Harun Masiku as a problem of power from the PDIP party which has penetrated several related institutions. Harun Masiku is seen only as one of those power actors who actually have structured powers that are interrelated, including those with the president and the DPR. Tempo has positioned the Corruption Eradication Commission as an institution  as a victim  of outside  powers  that  enter the KPK institution,  which should have been independent. In the end, Tempo highlighted a recommendation that the Harun Masiku case be thoroughly investigated, including the prosecution of  other  related  actors.  Tempo  sees  this  power  as  a  systematically  designed strategy   that   starts   with  the  amendment   of  the  Law  on   the  Corruption Eradication Commission which actually weakens the KPK.Keywords: Harun Masiku, PDIP, KPK, Tempo, Framing

Abstract

The progress of the times and technology makes young adolescents absorb values from anywhere, including negative values. This has a serious impact on adolescent morals. This study wanted to see how the right da'wah strategy in fostering adolescent morals in the village of Bendung Air Kayu Aro. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is done by interview process. The results of the study show that there is success in communicating messages of moral values. This shows that the emotional, intellectual, and sensory tactics and principles used have brought positive changes to adolescents, as evidenced by the increase in the quality of adolescent worship and the increase in adolescent morale.

Abstract

This research broadly aims to reveal the role of ulama as political communicators and specifically to reveal the involvement of Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) in the perspective of political communication in the 2020 Pilkada. The results show that of the three kinds of political communicators, Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) falls into the third, namely the spokesperson and opinion leader. Because the goal is not to gain a position, but to provide support because of the same vision, mission and goals. UAS is also a highly charismatic person in the community, so it is believed to be able to move people to make political choices in the political contestation in the 2020 Pilkada. The political messages conveyed by UAS in the 2020 Pilkada are as follows: a) Politics is part of community education, b) Politics is a means to apply da'wah, c) Resist political pressure, d) Reject money politics.

Abstract

Pesan yang disampaikan dapat menghasilkan banyak makna tergantung dari perspektifpenerima pesan tersebut. Hal ini menjadi daya tarik bagi penulis untuk mengangkat topik artikelini tentang analisis semiotika logo dagadu. Sumber referensi yang digunakan oleh penulis adalahdari artikel jurnal, buku, dan materi presentasi dengan metode analisis semiotika pierce.Berdasarkan analisa penulis diambil kesimpulan bahwa logo dagadu dalam bahasa anak generasimuda Jogja berati mata, melambangkan citra kreatifitas, dunia rancang dunia desain.Berdasarkan khasanah budaya Jawa, mata berkaiatan dengan kata ma’rifat, bermakna sebagaisekelompok orang yang dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan lingkungannya. Dagadudiuapayakan untuk dapat mempresentasikan kepedulian terhadap masalah yang adadi perkotaandan kepariwisataan di Jogjakarta dengan penekanan Lebih mengutamakan secara spesifik padaaspek desain grafis dengan memadukan lokal,humor daerah, plesetan serta semangat eksperimenke dalam konteks seni dan budaya popular.

Abstract

This study discusses the reporting of Sexual Harassment in the online media Tribunnews.com from the standpoint of journalistic ethics and sexual harassment. Media reporting is demanded to be gender responsive, but media content cannot be separated from market interests. The method used in this research is ethnographic content analysis. The results show that some of the publications on Tribunnews.com have met Article 5 Journalistic Code of Ethics, but there are some that have not been gender responsive, which tends to display the workplace address, place of study and residence of victims of immoral crime.

Abstract

In February 2021, the public was shocked by the case of an affair involving Nissa Sabyan and Ayus Sabyan. One of the media that gave the most in this case was Tribunnews.com. This study aims to see how Tribunnews.com's news construction is in the case of Nissa Sabyan and Ayus Sabyan's infidelity. Gender sensitive journalism and the framing process in reporting are the basis of this research. The research model uses framing analysis by Robert N. Entman. The results of the study show that Tribunnews.com strengthens the labeling of pelakor to Nissa Sabyan. The labeling of actors positions women as the most guilty parties in infidelity cases. This shows that Tribunnews.com has discriminated against gender in reporting.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a ban on going home which is treated by the government as a result of the Pandemic Covid-19. This study aims to see whether there is an influence between the intensity of communication with parents on the level of stres in overseas students who cannot go home. The paradigm of this research is positive, with explanatory type. The theoretical foundation in this study is the Reference Group Theory. The theory used to explain the effect of communication intensity with parents (Independent Variable) in reducing stress levels in overseas students of Amikom University Yogyakarta after the Covid-19 pandemic homecoming ban (dependent variable) is the theory of the Hyman referral group. The sample in this study were 50 overseas students of Amikom University in Yogyakarta who did not go home to their hometown. The results showed a significant influence between the variables of communication intensity with parents (X) on stres levels in overseas students of Amikom University Yogyakarta (Y)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see how the implementation of Journalistic Ethics is implemented in Vanessa Anggel's Online Prostitution Reporting in East Java. Tribunnews.com. This research uses a descriptive content analysis method with a positive paradigm. This analysis is used to examine primary data in the form of news documents (in this study, East Java news, Tribunews.com). Of the 62 news stories featuring online prostitution cases involving Vanessa Angel in East Java, Tribunews.com. East Java, Tribunews.com does not fully implement Article 5 of the Journalistic Code of Ethics. So that East Java journalists indirectly, Tribunews.com also did not apply Article 2 of Law 40 of 1999 on the Press which obliged journalists to maintain professionalism in the process of presenting news.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, children spend more time at home and use smartphones in their spare time. Excessive use of gadgets is bad for children physically and psychologically. Parents as a reference group have a function in influencing and controlling children in using gadgets. This study aims to confirm the effect of the intensity of parent-child communication on the level of addiction to playing gadgets for early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic. Collecting data using a Likert scale questionnaire. The instrument was developed by the researcher himself using the intensity of parental communication and addiction to playing gadgets. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique was carried out through simple regression analysis with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). The results of the study show the results of 0.002, this number is smaller than 0.05, indicating that there is a significant effect between the two variables. Regression test shows that the lower the communication between parents and children, the higher the child's addiction to gadgets.

Abstract

The pelakor case is one of the things that is viral in the media today, including the case of the affair of Nissa Sabyan and Ayus Sabyan. The concept of pelakor is one of the terms that is viralized by the mass media. This study aims to see how the readers interpret the affair issue of Nissa Sabyan and Ayus Sabyan in Tribunnews.com. This research uses descriptive qualitative type using reception analysis. The results showed that the majority of informants agreed with the pelakor labeling given by the media. On the other hand, the informants agree more that Nissa Sabyan and Ayus Sabyan are jointly responsible for their case. The opinion of the informant is influenced by the experience and environment in which the informant is located.
