Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of affective commitment on teacher performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable in Yapini Al-Ikhwan Islamic Education Foundation Nurul Ilmi Lhokseumawe City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 42 respondents. Data analysis was carried out with the help of SPSS software version 26 using the path analysis method. The results of the simultaneous test (F test) showed that the variables of affective commitment and job satisfaction together had a significant effect on teacher performance, with an Fcal value of 25.531 and a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the partial test (t-test) in the first model showed that affective commitment had a significant effect on job satisfaction, with a t-value of 4.550 > a ttable of 2.023. The coefficient of determination (R²) in the first model was 34.1%. In the second model, affective commitment had a significant effect on teacher performance with a score of 2.340 > table of 2.023, and job satisfaction also had a significant effect on teacher performance with a score of 4.114 > table of 2.023. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) in the second model was 54.5%. These findings affirm the importance of strengthening affective commitment and increasing job satisfaction as factors that can encourage improved teacher performance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates the effects of digital leadership on work-from-anywhere (FWA) effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational performance among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. Methodology – A quantitative survey was distributed through LinkedIn to remote workers in Indonesian organizations. Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to examine relationships among digital leadership, FWA effectiveness, employee engagement, organizational performance, cross-platform work impedance, job-market interruption, and attention stability. Results – Digital leadership positively influenced FWA effectiveness, which subsequently improved employee engagement and organizational performance. Cross-platform work impedance negatively affected attention stability and FWA effectiveness, while job-market interruption reduced attention stability but had no direct effect on FWA effectiveness. Originality– Drawing on Job Demands-Resources theory, this study identifies digital leadership as an important organizational resource for reducing digital distractions in remote work. It provides theoretical and practical insights into managing Generation Z employees in FWA environments.

Abstract

The transition from emergency remote learning to in-person schooling following the COVID-19 pandemic has left Indonesian high school students confronting substantial mental health vulnerabilities, including elevated stress, anxiety, and diminished resilience. This study investigated the effectiveness of a structured peer group support intervention in improving mental health outcomes and resilience among adolescents in a public senior high school (SMA Negeri) context. Employing a quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group design, the research involved 218 students (110 in the intervention group, 108 in the control group) from a state high school in East Java, Indonesia. The intervention group participated in an eight-week peer support program comprising weekly group sessions, psychoeducation modules, and guided peer interactions, while the control group received standard school guidance services. Mental health was assessed using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21), and resilience was measured with the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Data were collected at pre-test, post-test, and an eight-week follow-up, and analyzed using independent and paired sample t-tests, repeated measures ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Results indicated that the intervention group exhibited statistically significant improvements in mental health (reductions in depression, anxiety, and stress) and resilience scores compared to the control group, with medium to large effect sizes (ηp² ranging from .09 to .24). The findings demonstrate that peer group support represents a culturally congruent, scalable, and cost-effective strategy for addressing post-pandemic mental health challenges in Indonesian secondary education settings. The study underscores the critical role of peer relationships in adolescent psychological well-being and provides an evidence-based framework for integrating peer support programs into national school health initiatives.
