Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of integrating Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), and social-emotional competence (CASEL) in Science in elementary School. Used a qualitative approach as well as a case study, combining a literature review of 20 papers related to PBL, TaRL, and CASEL, as well as a case study involving 27 fifth-grade students at Gedawang 01 Elementary School. thematic literature review of 20 relevant studies was performed to explore the implementation of these three learning models and their effects on student engagement, academic achievement in science, and the development of social-emotional competencies. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and field notes documenting the classroom dynamics. The data were analyzed using thematic qualitative analysis to identify patterns in student engagement, emotional regulation, and the development of social skills. The results indicate that the integration of PBL, TaRL, and CASEL significantly enhances students' active participation, fosters a deeper understanding of scientific concepts, and improves their social-emotional skills, such as collaboration and conflict resolution. This study contributes to educational theory by demonstrating the value of an integrated learning approach that simultaneously enhances academic performance and social-emotional growth, crucial for the demands of 21st-century education This research provides practical implications for educators to implement a holistic approach in learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of the Fresh-Reading method for the development of a culture of liberation in fostering students' interest in reading at SD Negeri 150 palembang. The Fresh-Reading method is a learning approach that emphasizes students' active involvement in reading in a fun and relevant way to their lives. The purpose of this study was to see the impact of implementing the Fresh-Reading method in creating a positive reading culture and increasing students' interest in reading. The results of implementing this method show an increase in students' enthusiasm in reading as well as success in introducing literacy concepts that focus on freedom of thought and exploration of ideas. In addition, the implementation of this method also helps students to better appreciate reading materials and build better literacy skills. Despite challenges in the initial transition, this approach has proven effective in encouraging students to be more active in reading activities. Overall, the Fresh-Reading method at SD Negeri 150 palembang contributes significantly to developing a culture of liberation and increasing students' interest in reading.

This should be accepted. facing and offset by the increase in scientific knowledge are adequate so that Muslims do not failed experience by an increasingly forward without forget about eliminating Islamic identity. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus persentase dan rumus N-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa, aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai siklus III. Aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh pada siklus I sebesar 54,33%, pada siklus II sebesar 65,66%, dan pada siklus III mencapai 82%. Mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 11,33%, dari siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 16,33%, dan dari siklus I ke siklus III mencapai 27,66%. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai siklus III. Dari perhitungan rumus N-Gain diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 0,27 dengan kriteria rendah, pada siklus II sebesar 0,36 dengan kriteria sedang, dan pada siklus III mencapai 0,47 dengan kriteria sedang. Hal tersebut juga diikuti dengan peningkatan perolehan N-Gain yang mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 0,9, siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 0,11, dan dari siklus I ke siklus III mencapai 0,20. Demikian halnya dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 55%, pada siklus II sebesar 65%, dan pada siklus III mencapai 80%. Mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 10%, dari siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 15%, dan dari siklus I ke siklus III mencapai 25%. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar pendidikan kewarganegaraan secara signifikan.

Abstract

A low understanding of mathematical concepts can affect a student's learning process. In overcoming this problem, teachers must pay attention to students’ self-efficacy. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effect of the RME-based Krulik-Rudnick Heuristics learning model on understanding mathematical concepts regarding students' self-efficacy. The samples were obtained using the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a test of description questions. Hypothesis testing was performed using two-way ANOVA. The research found that Fa was  F(0.05;1.45); therefore, H0A was rejected. Furthermore, Fb was lower than F(0.05;2;45), so H0B was accepted, and Fab was lower than F (0.05;2.45), so H0AB was accepted. It can be concluded that there was an effect of the learning model used on understanding mathematical concepts, there was no effect of self-efficacy (high, medium, and low) on mathematical concept understanding, and there was no interaction between learning models and self-efficacy (high, medium and low) on students' mathematical concepts understanding. It is recommended that further researchers apply RME-based Krulik-Rudnick Heuristics to other learning materials.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas VI SDN Tambakromo 01 pada materi volume bangun ruang balok melalui model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video pembelajaran dan media konkret.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan melalui 2 siklus dengan setiap siklus tahapannya adalah perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi tes prestasi. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SDN Tambakromo 01, yang berjumlah 28 siswa, penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran Gasal 2023-2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas VI SDN Tambakromo 01 pada materi volume bangun ruang balok melalui model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video pembelajaran dan media konkret mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya dimana pada siklus I yakni 20 siswa atau 71,43% telah memenuhi KKM dan pada siklus II ada 25 siswa atau 89,29% telah memenuhi KKM. Hasil ini sudah mencapai indikator yang ditentukan yaitu KKM 75 mencapai 85% dari seluruh jumlah siswa. Model PBL berbantuan video dan media konkret telah meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa pada konsep volume balok.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the observed deficiency in students’ comprehension of the rights and obligations of school community members—a gap that has significant implications for their daily conduct and interpersonal behavior. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved two groups—experimental and control—each comprising 30 fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through a combination of knowledge assessments, attitude observation checklists, and self-reflection questionnaires. The resulting data were analyzed using independent sample t-tests and descriptive statistical methods. The findings reveal that the implementation of project-based learning (PjBL) strategies—specifically poster creation and collaborative group discussions—led to a statistically significant enhancement in students’ understanding of civic responsibilities, as evidenced by an average increase of 15% in post-intervention scores (p < 0.05). Furthermore, notable improvements were observed in students’ attitudes, particularly in dimensions of responsibility and collaboration, as indicated by both observational and self-reflective measures. These results suggest that project-based authentic assessment constitutes an effective pedagogical approach for fostering both cognitive and affective development in elementary civic education.

Abstract

This study intends to determine teachers' perceptions of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-based education to improve students' social awareness through social studies learning in elementary schools. The method employed was a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data were gathered through in-depth interviews and non-participant observations of five elementary school teachers with more than five years of teaching experience. The findings uncovered that teachers' understanding of the SDGs varied, with some teachers taking more initiative in integrating SDG values ​​into their learning. In contrast, others encountered difficulties due to limited training and resources. The strategies implemented encompassed classroom discussions and community-based projects as well as the utilization of technology, such as documentary videos and news articles. Nonetheless, the primary challenges were limited time and access to in-depth teaching materials. The impact of SDGs-based education on students was observed in their increased understanding of global issues, such as climate change and social inequality. Students also exhibited greater interest in social and environmental activities. However, the impact differed depending on the intensity of SDGs implementation in learning. In conclusion, although the implementation of SDGs in elementary schools can increase students' social awareness, further support from the government and schools is required, including teacher training and the provision of adequate resources to strengthen the integration of SDGs in the curriculum.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam perspektif Islam merupakan suatu proses pembinaan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi individu melalui pendekatan yang mencakup aspek intelektual, fisik, dan spiritual. Proses ini dirancang untuk membentuk kepribadian Islami dengan mentransformasi dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Islam. Dua landasan utama pendidikan Islam adalah Al-Qur'an dan Al-Hadis. Tujuan pendidikan Islam adalah untuk membina individu agar dapat melaksanakan ajaran agama Islam dengan baik dan sempurna, yang tercermin dalam sikap dan tindakan mereka di seluruh aspek kehidupan, demi mencapai kebahagiaan dan kejayaan baik di dunia maupun di akhirat. Ruang lingkup pendidikan Islam mencakup berbagai aspek, antara lain: tujuan pendidikan Islam, peran pendidik, karakteristik peserta didik, kurikulum pendidikan Islam, materi ajar, metode pengajaran, media pendidikan, sarana dan prasarana, evaluasi pendidikan, serta lingkungan pendidikan. Abstract

Bilingual and multilingual education programmes are being adopted with increasing frequency by modern Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia, with the aim of enhancing students’ linguistic abilities and academic performance. This study examines parental involvement in children’s education at multilingual pesantren, with a focus on their roles in supporting language learning and adapting to school language policies. A mixed-methods approach was used to collect data from twenty-five parents via questionnaires and semi-structured in-depth interviews. Grounded theory analysis was then applied using open, axial, and selective coding to identify key themes. The findings reveal five themes: self-development; parental motivation and pride; optimism for future success; emotional support; and parental participation in school activities. Parents view proficiency in Arabic and English as a religious asset and a strategic skill for global engagement. The study highlights the comprehensive nature of parental involvement in multilingual pesantrens and proposes further research into its long-term impact on students' academic and social outcomes.
