Abstract

Asesmen Nasional (AN) dirancang untuk menghasilkan informasi akurat untuk memperbaiki kualitas belajar-mengajar, yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dalam pelaksanaan Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) di tahun 2021, sekolah perlu mempersiapkan siswa untuk dapat mengikuti AKM dengan baik dengan memberikan penguatan terkait literasi dan numerasi. Akan tetapi banyak calon guru matematika yang masih belum memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup mengenai literasi numerasi. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa AKM dan numerasi merupakan hal baru bagi guru matematika di SMP 3 Bae. Guru kurang memiliki pengetahuan untuk menyusun soal numerasi sebagai upaya menyiapkan siswa menghadapi AKM. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada guru matematika di SMP 3 Bae mengenai penyusunan soal numerasi untuk persiapan AKM-AN. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMP 3 Bae dengan 4 peserta kegiatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 Oktober 2021 dan 3 November 2021. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu sosialisasi interaktif dan pendampingan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, follow up, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian mampu memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru matematika SMP 3 Bae Kudus mengenai penyusunan soal numerasi.

Abstract

Permasalahan mitra guru matematika di Sub Rayon Bae Kudus adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru mengenai penyusunan soal high level mathematical thinking dan kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam menyusun soal yang menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan keunggulan lokal Kudus. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru matematika di Sub Rayon Bae Kudus mengenai penyusunan soal high level mathematical thinking berbasis etnomatematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan interaktif dan pendampingan. Selanjutnya, dalam proses pelatihan ada interaksi dua arah sehingga memberikan kesempatan kepada guru matematika di Sub Rayon Bae Kudus sebagai peserta pelatihan untuk menyumbangkan ide, pendapat, pikiran, dan pengalamannya. Pelaksanaan pendampingan penyusunan soal high level mathematical thinking berbasis etnomatematika pada guru guru matematika di Sub Rayon Bae Kudus dirancang dalam beberapa tahap, antara lain: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, follow up, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru matematika di Sub Rayon Bae mampu menyusun soal high level mathematical thinking berbasis etnomatematika.Kata kunci: etnomatematika, soal high level mathematical thinking, guru matematika

Abstract

Tutoring institutions are a form of nonformal education which is expected to help students adapt to academic, social, and psychological demands. The objective of this study was to examine the implementation of tutoring attended by the fifth-grade students of SD N 03 Margoyoso. This research was a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected by using observation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the teachers’ material coaching and mastery were good during the implementation of tutoring, but most teachers were less creative and innovative in motivating the students. However, the implementation of tutoring had a good relationship with the students’ motivation. This can be seen from the students’ behaviour and responses in learning. The conclusion of this study was the relationship between the implementation of tutoring and the students’ learning motivation was good since students were persistent to learn, resilient when facing difficulties, have motivation and sharp attention in learning, excel in learning activities, and are independent when studying.

Abstract

AbstractMathematical thinking ability is the ability to use reasoning to build mathematical arguments, the ability to develop strategies or methods, understand mathematical content, and the ability to communicate ideas. The mathematical thinking ability as a learning goal and at the same time as a way to learn mathematics is an important ability to be developed in solving problems. One of the factors that influence students' mathematical thinking ability is self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of self-confidence on students' mathematical thinking ability. This research is quantitative research. The sample in this study was 72 students of VIIth grade junior high school students in Kudus Regency, Indonesia. The data collection technique consisted of a written test of mathematical thinking ability and a self-confidence questionnaire. The data analysis technique is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the study showed that self-confidence has a positive and significant effect of 25.5% on mathematical thinking ability. AbstrakKemampuan berpikir matematis adalah kemampuan menggunakan penalaran untuk membangun argumen matematis, kemampuan mengembangkan strategi atau metode, memahami isi matematis, dan kemampuan mengomunikasikan gagasan. Kemampuan berpikir matematis sebagai tujuan pembelajaran dan sekaligus sebagai cara belajar matematika merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangkan dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa adalah rasa percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 72 siswa kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Kudus, Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes tertulis kemampuan berpikir matematis dan angket kepercayaan diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebesar 25,5% terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang terjadi selama ini belum memfasilitasi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan representasi matematisnya. Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dapat ditinjau dari berbagai dimensi, salah satunya yaitu gaya kognitif. Gaya kognitif mempengaruhi siswa dalam memahami materi dan permasalahan. Selain itu, disposisi matematis sebagai salah satu kompetensi sosial juga perlu dikembangkan agar siswa gigih dalam menyelesaikan masalah, menyukai matematika, dan dapat belajar dengan penuh tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran open-ended berbasis etnomatematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa yang layak digunakan. Berdasarkan uji validitas yang dilakukan oleh ahli, diperoleh nilai silabus yaitu 3,63, RPP sebesar 3,71, modul sebesar 3,74, ADM sebesar 3,86, TRM sebesar 3,83, dan pedoman wawancara sebesar 3,80. Seluruh perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen tes termasuk pada kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran open-ended berbasis etnomatematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa valid digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi dan disposisi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: disposisi matematis, gaya kognitif, open-ended, perangkat pembelajaran, representasi matematis. ABSTRACT Mathematics learning so far has not facilitated students to develop their mathematical representation ability. The students' mathematical representation ability can be reviewed from various dimensions, one of them is cognitive style. Cognitive style affects the students in understanding the material and the problems. Moreover, mathematical disposition as one of social competence also needs to be developed so the students persevere in solving problems, like mathematics, and can learn with full of responsibility. The purpose of this study was to develop an open-ended learning instrumens based on ethnomatematics in terms of students' cognitive style to improve mathematical representation and mathematical disposition of students which are eligible to use. Based on validity test conducted by the expert, the values of obtained syllabus, lesson plan, module, ADM, TRM, and interview guidance respectively are 3.63, 3.71, 3.74, 3.86, 3.83, and 3.80. All of learning and test instrumens included on very good criteria. Based on these results, the open-ended learning instrumens based on ethnomatematics in terms of the cognitive style of students valid to be used to improve students' mathematical representation and disposition. Abstract

Spatial abilities are very important for students to solve everyday problems, especially spatial ones. Materials are required in the form of applications on devices to make them engage for students. Local wisdom needs to be included in the material content to increase interest in learning. The use of an android-based application with ethnomathematics content is a recommended solution for learning geometry to develop spatial abilities. The research objective in this article is to analyze the practicality of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content on students' spatial abilities. The research method refers to research and development (R&D) methods. This article only examines one part of the R&D research, namely the practicality of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content. The data collection technique used was a learning response questionnaire sheet. The analysis technique used includes qualitative analysis for preliminary studies and quantitative analysis of students' and lecturers' responses to the use of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content. The results of the study show that android-based applications with ethnomathematical content are practically used to develop spatial abilities. The three aspects of practicality, namely presentation techniques, convenience, and spatial abilities show a very practical assessment. This means that Android-based applications containing ethnomathematics can be implemented in the learning process to develop spatial abilities.

Abstract

Disposisi matematis memegang peranan penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan siswa untuk memecahkan masalah. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang pengembangan disposisi matematis dan konstruksi pemecahan masalah siswa yaitu pendekatan Pembelajaran Realistik Matematika Indonesia (PMRI). Melalui PMRI siswa dapat membangun konsep/prinsip matematika dengan kemampuannya sendiri melalui proses asimilasi dan akomodasi. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi pendekatan PMRI dalam rangka pengembangan disposisi matematis dan konstruksi pemecahan masalah berbasis teori Piaget. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dokumentasi. Peneliti mengumpulkan informasi bersumber dari jurnal, prosiding, buku, dan literatur lainnya yang berisi mengenai teori dan data yang relevan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disposisi matematis dapat ditumbuhkan melalui tahapan PMRI antara lain: memahami masalah kontekstual, menyelesaikan masalah, membandingkan dan mendiskusikan jawaban, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Melalui penyajian masalah sehari-hari dapat membantu siswa dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuan mereka secara lebih baik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyzed the effectiveness of Accelerated Problem Based Learning (A-PBL) with dynamic assessment on students' problem-solving skills. This quantitative research had 319 students from the eighth grade of junior high school. The researchers took the sample with a random sampling technique. The results were 32 students for the experimental group. These learners received the A-PBL model with dynamic assessment. The other 32 students for the control group received a direct instruction model. The research instruments were a problem-solving skill test. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and then continued with hypothesis testing. The hypothesis tests were independent sample t-test, one-sample t-test, proportional test, and simple linear regression test. The results showed that the A-PBL model is effectively used to achieve problem solving skills with indicators: (1) the learners' mathematic problem-solving skills taught by A-PBL with dynamic assessment met 65 score; (2) the average of learners' mathematics problem-solving skills taught by the A-PBL model and dynamic assessment was higher than the problem-solving skills of learners taught by the direct learning model; and (3) the proportion of students who have completed A-PBL learning with dynamic assessment is more than the proportion of students who have been taught using the direct instruction model. Research contributes scientifically to the development of learning model syntax that can be used to improve problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development steps and to see the feasibility of the application of the GeoGebra Transformer as a learning medium based mathematical spatial abilities. This type of research is R&D using the ADDIE model which has been modified into ADD (Analysis, Design and Development). The development procedures are in the form of preliminary study analysis, needs analysis analysis, application design, validation of material experts and media experts, application limited test and application practicality test. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 2 SMA NU Al-Ma'ruf Kudus. The data analysis used includes application development, application validity and application practicality. From the results of the study, it was found that the application developed was valid in terms of the assessment of material experts and media experts with an average score of 3,3. In the limited test the teacher and students gave a positive response to the application. The results of student responses to the GeoGebra Transformer application showed 78.9% of students gave a positive response. The teacher also gave a positive response to the GeoGebra Transformer application. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the application of the GeoGebra Transformer is valid and practical, so that it can assist in the learning process regarding geometry transformation material.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the increase in knowledge learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students using the CTL model assisted by Pati culture-based e-modules. This type of research is a quantitative experiment, pre-experimental research design, pretest-posttest design model. Non-test and test data collection techniques. The data analysis technique uses the initial data analysis in the form of a normality test, while the final data analysis is in the form of quantitative descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of testing the n-gain hypothesis, it is proven that there is an increase in knowledge learning outcomes with the starch-based e-module assisted CTL model of 0.55 medium criterion interpretation. So it was concluded in this study that there had been an increase in the knowledge learning outcomes of class IV students with the CTL model assisted by e-module based on starch culture.
