Abstract

Toxic work environments are becoming an issue that is getting more and more attention in human resource management because of its destructive impact on the psychological well-being of employees and organizational stability. Unhealthy interpersonal relationships, authoritarian leadership, bullying, and recurrent disrespectful behavior create a work atmosphere full of stress and uncertainty. This condition not only triggers work stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion, it further exacerbates these challenges, as high work demands and a lack of work-life balance make employees, especially Generation Z, increasingly vulnerable to mental health disorders. This study aims to analyze the influence of toxic work environments on employees' mental health as well as its impact on the intention to quit their jobs. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach, analyzing relevant scientific articles. The results of the study showed that a toxic work environment characterized by violence, bullying, tyrannical leadership, unfriendliness, and exclusion had a significant effect on the increase in work stress, psychological pressure, work stress and intention to quit work. Toxic leadership is the main factor in forming an unhealthy work culture. Social support, especially from supervisors, plays a protective role as a protective factor that mediates these negative relationships. Generation Z was found to be more sensitive to injustice and rights violations in the workplace. The study concludes that organizations need to prioritize psychological safety, implement supportive leadership, and provide tangible organizational policies and support to maintain employees' mental health and reduce work stress rates for long-term organizational sustainability.

Abstract

In the dynamic era of information technology disruption and globalization, organizations face increasingly fierce competition. High-quality human resources (HR) represent the core strength for organizations to survive and compete, demanding well-designed development strategies. This study aims to comprehensively analyze various effective HR development strategies to enhance work quality, productivity, and operational efficiency across various organizational sectors. The method employed in this research is a literature study (library research). Data collection was conducted by deeply reviewing ,and analyzing, sourced from various online publications. The results indicate that HR development strategies in the corporate sector are effectively realized through a combination of regular technical training, employee rotation policies, and KPI-based coaching and mentoring programs to implement the principle of "the right man in the right place". In the public and government sectors, the implementation of functional education and training is proven to optimize the quality of public services, despite facing constraints of limited budget and personnel. Meanwhile, within the local economic scope, the competitiveness of MSMEs and regional tourism is successfully accelerated through managerial training, marketing digitalization, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP). This study concludes that modern organizational resilience depends on a paradigm shift toward a human-centric management approach. Organizations need to evaluate budget imbalances favoring physical development to harmoniously synergize with the sustainable development of human talent's competence, creativity, and digital literacy.

Abstract

This phenomenon of anxiety-driven spending refers to excessive purchasing behavior that occurs as a response to economic uncertainty and pessimistic views about the future. It is commonly found among Generation Z, who have grown up in the digital era with easy access to various shopping platforms and digital financial services. This study aims to investigate the factors that make Generation Z more likely to experience difficulties in saving money and to examine the impact of this spending behavior on their financial condition. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the relationships among variables that influence the financial behavior of Generation Z.The findings indicate that excessive spending is influenced by several key factors, including psychological conditions such as stress and anxiety, the influence of social media, low levels of financial literacy, poor self-control, easy access to digital financial services such as pay-later features, and behavioral biases such as overconfidence. These factors encourage Generation Z to prioritize instant gratification over long-term financial planning. As a result, their saving habits tend to decline, which may lead to financial difficulties in the future. Therefore, improving financial literacy, strengthening self-control, and promoting the wise use of financial technology are essential to reducing excessive spending behavior and increasing saving awareness among Generation Z.

Abstract

Japanese popular culture, such as anime, manga, cosplay, and J-Pop music, has become part of the daily lives of Indonesian students along with the development of technology and digital media. The consumption of Japanese popular culture not only serves as a form of entertainment but also influences aspects of social interaction, identity formation, and how to express oneself in social environments. This study aims to analyze the influence of Japanese popular culture consumption on the social lives of students. Writers used a qualitative method with literature study techniques. Data were obtained through searching and analyzing various previous scientific journal articles on relevant topics published in the last ten years. The results of the study indicate that consumption of Japanese popular culture has various impacts on the social lives of students. On the one hand, Japanese popular culture can broaden cultural horizons, strengthen social interactions through communities and fandoms, and increase interest in learning the Japanese language and culture. On the other hand, there is the potential for negative impacts on consumers, such as consumptive behavior, excessive fanaticism, and a tendency to limit social interactions outside of specific interest groups. Therefore, critical awareness and a selective attitude are needed in consuming Japanese popular culture so that the received influence is positive and does not neglect local social and cultural values.
