Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing public relations strategies the By.U provider employs to increase brand awareness through social media. The research method used is a qualitative approach with several data collection techniques, including interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis employed is qualitative data analysis, which involves three main activities: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that.U's marketing public relations planning strategy almost entirely adheres to the dimensions and indicators in the strategic planning process outlined by Whalen, known as Whalen’s 7-Step Strategic Planning Process. The only shortcoming lies in the situational analysis dimension, where U did not fully implement a SWOT analysis but only utilised certain aspects. The marketing public relations efforts By.U have generally been successful and aligned with the Three Ways Strategy concept by Thomas L. Harris. However, areas still need improvement, such as the frequency of interaction by the By.U team on Instagram comments, which is rarely done, and the repetitive use of the same color scheme in their posts, leading to follower fatigue. Moreover, there is a lack of broader outreach to less tech-savvy individuals. Additionally, the brand awareness of By.U users and potential users, according to Aaker's (1991) theory, is still at the brand recognition level.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of journalistic practices in response to digital media developments, focusing on Sriwijaya Post and Sripoku.com. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews and observations with journalists at both the field and editorial levels. The findings reveal that media convergence has significantly impacted journalistic workflows, necessitating journalists to adopt multimedia skills, including video production, real-time reporting, and social media engagement. This transformation involves structural and strategic newsroom changes to facilitate cross-platform content production. As part of a regional media network, Sriwijaya Post and Sripoku.com have embraced digital platforms for content delivery and as a primary revenue stream, particularly through services such as Google AdSense. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of how regional media in Indonesia navigate the challenges of digital convergence while maintaining journalistic integrity and sustaining their role in a rapidly evolving media ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the TikTok application by youth in shaping social behavior in Tanjung Tambak Baru Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were a group of youth aged 21-23 years who actively use social media, namely the TikTok application. The primary data in this study is a collection of information obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, while secondary data includes various literature that has relevance to the research object. Furthermore, the collected data was analyzed carefully and continuously using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the TikTok application by youth in Karang Taruna in Tanjung Tambak Baru Village plays an important role in shaping their social behavior, especially in terms of communication style, level of creativity, and involvement in social activities. Social media, especially TikTok, has been shown to have a significant influence on these aspects

Abstract

Competition in the television industry allows a company to take long steps forward in a society saturated with the current situation. Various studies show that ANTV's strategy to buy many programs in Indian drama series in Indonesia has been exceeded; the India program screening strategy at ANTV itself is a form of adaptation of ANTV's strategy in dealing with the convergence and growth of the industry, especially the internet. This study uses qualitative methods with media political-economic theory specific to commodifying content. The primary data was obtained through observation, and secondary data were obtained through interviews. As a result, the commodification of the content carried out by ANTV TV stations was by displaying Indian program content that was very much in percentage so that it indoctrinated the audience to overindulge India & Türkiye culture from films, actresses, arts and culture finally eroded local culture due to the many hours of India &Türkiye import program broadcast on ANTV.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the experiences of women wearing the hijab in facing gender sexism on the TikTok platform, especially related to Muslim fashion trends. Through a digital ethnographic approach, this research analyzes the content, comments, and social interactions of ten active participants in the TikTok hijab fashion community who have experienced or witnessed negative comments. The research results show that the TikTok platform, with its algorithm that personalizes content, helps reinforce gender bias through repeated exposure to negative comments and stereotypes. These findings also reveal a complex dynamic in which criticism of modern hijab fashion often comes from fellow women, but it is necessary to examine further the social and cultural factors that underlie this phenomenon. This research highlights the importance of understanding how social media platforms can shape the perceptions and experiences of women wearing the hijab and calls for efforts to build more inclusive and supportive online communities.

Abstract

The research was conducted at Yadika Lubuklinggau High School, Musirawas Regency, South Sumatra Province, aiming to determine the planning, organization, and implementation of supervision to improve quality. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach and used a case study methodology. The data collection technique is carried out by; observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of the research is supervisory management to improve quality, with a sub-focus; on planning supervision, organizing supervision, and implementing supervision to improve the quality of Yadika Lubuklinggau High School, Musirawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. The research novelty is the time stamp camera application for attendance at Yadika Lubuklinggau High School. This research produces a supervision model at Yadika Lubuklinggau High School, where planning, organizing, and implementing supervision is carried out in predetermined stages and adds feedback from teachers as actors in the field so that the overall results provide an increase in the quality of Yadika Lubuklinggau High School as indicated by accreditation. A, student achievement at local, regional, and national levels.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has dramatically changed the media landscape, prompting the media industry to undergo digital transformation. The objective of this research is to discuss the digital transformation experienced by the online news platform "BuletinJurnalis.com" and its news management strategies within the context of the online media industry. The theoretical framework employed to analyze this research is media technology and convergence theory. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with five key informants, including the leadership, editor-in-chief, editorial management, news editor, and media correspondents from "BuletinJurnalis.com." The research findings reveal that "BuletinJurnalis.com" has taken bold steps in its digital transformation by integrating technology into all aspects of news production. Their strategies in news management include a fresh approach to writing, curation, and content distribution, emphasizing the importance of constant adaptation and innovation to maintain relevance and competitiveness. In conclusion, digital transformation and news management strategies play a pivotal role in shaping the future of media in the era of the online media industry.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of product innovation, market orientation and social media on the performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector in South Sumatra Province. The research method used is quantitative using primary data collected through questionnaires from 70 food MSMEs who are members of the International Council of Small Business (ICSB) South Sumatra. Data analysis was carried out using Smart PLS version 4.0 software with the Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) approach, a variance-based structural equation analysis (SEM) method. The research results show that Market Orientation does not have a significant influence on MSME performance, while Product Innovation and social media have a significant positive influence. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) shows that together, product innovation, market orientation and social media have a significant influence on MSME performance. The conclusion of this research is that product innovation and market orientation are key factors that can improve the performance of MSMEs in the food sector. Although market orientation individually is not significant, in the overall context, all three have a significant contribution to variations in MSME performance. Therefore, MSME players in the food sector are advised to pay more attention to product innovation and market orientation as strategies for developing their business.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing financial literacy among Generation Z in Palembang. The research methodology employed is quantitative, assessing the strength of the relationship between dependent and independent variables within the population. A sample of 120 respondents was selected, and data were analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0 software. The analysis reveals that financial behavior and financial attitudes significantly influence financial literacy, whereas financial knowledge does not exhibit a significant influence. The overall regression model demonstrates that financial behavior, financial knowledge, and financial attitude collectively contribute significantly to explaining variations in financial literacy. However, the study is constrained by limitations in sample coverage and data collection methods. Nevertheless, the results of the simultaneous test indicate that the overall regression model is significant in elucidating the relationship between the variables under study and financial literacy. The implication of this research underscores the necessity for enhancing financial behavior and attitudes to bolster financial literacy among Generation Z in Palembang.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pelayanan publik menuntut aparatur pemerintah untuk mampu mengoperasikan aplikasi perizinan berbasis elektronik secara optimal. Salah satu aplikasi yang digunakan dalam pelayanan perizinan adalah SiCantik Cloud yang terintegrasi dengan sistem Online Single Submission (OSS). Namun, dalam implementasinya masih ditemukan kendala berupa keterbatasan pemahaman aparatur dan pengguna layanan terhadap alur dan fitur aplikasi tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan aparatur Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPMPTSP) Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dalam penggunaan aplikasi SiCantik Cloud guna mendukung efektivitas pelayanan perizinan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi, dan praktik langsung pengoperasian fitur SiCantik Cloud sesuai dengan tahapan pelayanan perizinan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman aparatur terhadap alur kerja aplikasi, mulai dari proses pengajuan, verifikasi berkas, hingga penerbitan izin secara digital. Selain itu, kegiatan ini membantu meningkatkan ketepatan penginputan data dan mempercepat proses pelayanan perizinan. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi SiCantik Cloud memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik yang lebih efektif, transparan, dan akuntabel.
