Abstract

In today's globalised bureaucracy, it is not enough for employees to simply do the job they were hired to do. Many agencies expect their members to not only focus on and complete their own main tasks, but also proactively help their colleagues and the organisation, therefore, OCB is important in today's world of bureaucrats, where organisations must be increasingly effective to survive. As a result, researchers are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of the variables associated with OCB. This study aims to determine the effect of distributive justice and procedural justice variables on OCB and also the mediating effect of affective commitment on the relationship between the two. The results showed that distributive justice and procedural justice had a significant positive effect on affective commitment, affective commitment had a significant positive effect on OCB aimed at the organisation (OCB-O), distributive and procedural justice had an insignificant positive effect on OCB aimed at the organisation (OCB-O), and affective commitment was partially proven to mediate the relationship between distributive and procedural justice with OCB-O.

Abstract

This project aims to manage organic waste in Sambikerep District, Surabaya, through the cultivation of maggots and oyster mushrooms as part of a circular economy concept. The activity is conducted by Master of Management students from Universitas Airlangga in a Creating Shared Value (CSV) program to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). This program provides economic opportunities for low-income communities, especially housewives, and promotes climate change adaptation and mitigation. The program’s success indicators include the number of participants, participant feedback, and the availability of supporting facilities, all of which were achieved successfully. A Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis was also conducted to assess the program's impact on stakeholders, including students, local residents, and partners. The program results provide various skills and benefits, such as leadership, communication, and community relations, measured in monetary terms as a proxy for the training and resources provided.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how the psychological process affects perceived organizational politics (POP) toward organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB). The paradoxical effect of POP to OCB needs to be explained through two psychological processes: First, the mediation effect of psychological safety which explains POP as a barrier to OCB. Second, the mediation effect of careerism which explains POP as an OCB driver. One of the government institutions in Malang District used as research objects, involving 97 employees as respondents. A quantitative approach using Partial Least Square (PLS) used as the method of this study. The results showed careerism mediated the relationship between POP and OCB. But the surprising result is that psychological safety cannot mediate the effect of POP to OCB because employees feel that there is no high threat of doing voice behaviour, helping behaviour and individual initiatives in the political environment. These results indicate that OCB is a safe activity when it does not contrary to other people’s self-interest, so it does not cause a conflict.

Abstract

Nurses play a crucial role in the internal operations of the hospital, offering patients care, attention, assistance, and support. One of the most crucial things for hospitals to pay attention to is working hours since, if neglected, it will lead to nurses feeling under pressure at work, making it difficult for them to spend time with their families. If the two issues are properly handled, the employment attachment of nurses may also decline. This type of research method uses the quantitative explanation research method as a causal approach to the influence of work overload and work-family conflict on job embeddedness, with emotional exhaustion as a mediating variable and coworker support as a moderation variable in nurses at Islam PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Tegal Regency. 96 inpatient nurses who responded to a questionnaire made up the study sample. SEM was used as the approach for data analysis in this investigation. According to the findings of this study, work stress and work-family conflict considerably impact emotional exhaustion. Furthermore, work overload, work-family conflict, and emotional exhaustion have no significant effect on job embeddedness. Additionally, the association between work overload and work-family conflict and job embeddedness is unaffected by emotional exhaustion as a mediator and co-worker support as a moderation variable.
