Abstract

Desa Srigonco memiliki potensi desa budaya dan wisata yang cukup berkembang. Namun masalah pada orang dengan ganggun jiwa (ODGJ) yang masih membutuhkan perhatian lebih. Posyandu sehat jiwa adalah bentuk layanan kesehatan berbasis masyarakat. Sehingga pendekatan berbasis budaya saganta tepat untuk meningaktkan konsep diri ODGJ melalui perilaku positif. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan perilaku postif ODGJ melalui posyandu sehat jiwa berbasis tari tradisional Uri-uri. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui diskusi terarah dengan mitra, latihan tari tradisional Uri-uri dengan mitra, posyandu sehat jiwa dengan pendekatan tari tradisional Uri-uri pda ODGJ dan evaluasi tindak lanjut bersama mitra. hasil mitra menstujui terkait pemberdayaan kesehatan jiwa melalui kegiatan posyandu sehat jiwa dengan pendekatan tari tradisional Uri-uri, mitra melatih fasilitator selama 8 kali, posyandu sehat jiwa terlaksana dengan 6 kali terapi aktivitas kelompok tari tradisional Uri-uri, hasilnya rata-rata ODGJ mengikuti program tersebut sampai selesai dan memiliki perilaku positif baik. serta tindak lanjut dari mitra terkait program tersebut sebagai bentuk terapi bagi ODGJ di masyarakat dengan pendekatan kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Background: Fire disasters in educational facilities often occur and lead to a lack of psychological readiness of volunteers in health colleges and in general. Objective: The study aimed to analyze the effects of fire management: A virtual short film on the psychological preparedness of university volunteers in Indonesia. Methods: This study uses quasi-experimental. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 87 respondents who were divided into treatment and control groups. Health college volunteers were recruited from Java, Bali, and Sumatera islands. The psychological Preparedness for Disaster Threat Scale (PPDTS) questionnaire was used. The statistical test used is the paired t-test and the Independent Sample T-test. Results: We found a difference in volunteers’ psychological preparedness pre-treatment and post-treatment in the treatment group (p < 0.001) and control group (p = 0.800). Differences in both groups were significant (p < 0.001). Conclusions: Treatments using technology media, namely short films, can virtually influence increasing psychological preparedness for volunteers. In addition, this intervention can be used as media for health promotion that is easily accessible to everyone in the face of disasters.

Abstract

Generation Z is the generation with an average age of 10 to 25 years. This generation is smarter and more active in digitalization than the previous generation. Mental health problems in Generation Z have increased every year. Efforts made by doing mental health self-care. One of the races in Indonesia, mental health problems often occur. The race is the Melanesian Race which is in the eastern part of Indonesia. Cultural factors and warfare have contributed to mental health problems in the region. This research aims to describe mental health self-care for Melanesians in Indonesia. This research design uses a quantitative descriptive research design with a survey approach. The sample used is Generation Z of the Melanesian Race with a total of 169 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The measuring tool uses the Mindful Self-Care Scale questionnaire. The sampling technique is by distributing it through the Google form, Whatsapp groups, telegrams to social media. The research was conducted from September 2022 to February 2023. The description of the average mental health self-care for Generation Z of the Melanesian Race is mostly physical care (17.56 ± 4.986). while self-care mental health generation Z Race Melanesian (82.13±16.021). Mental health self-care for generation Z Melanesian race prefers physical care. And self-care for the mental health of Generation Z of the Melanesian Race is more towards positive behavior.

Abstract

Pernikahan muda menjadi suatu praktik yang sangat membudaya di suatu desa. Dampak tersebut menjadikan permasalahan kesehatan seperti kesehatan reproduksi hingga masalah mental. Bebepara upaya yang dapat dicegah melalui program pemberdayaan masyarakat. Promosi kesehatan dengan cara memberikan pendidikan kesehatan seperti drama dan advokasi kepeda mitra merupakan bentuk pemberdayaan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah pernikahan muda. Program pencegahan pernikahan muda dengan drama Bilik Enom salah satu bentuk inovasi pemberdayaan dimasyarakat. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan pernikahan muda dan memberikan advokasi kepada masyarakat tentang pernikahan muda. Tempat pelakasanaan program di desa Srigonco dengan sasaran mitranya adalah 35 remaja dan orang tua. Program ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-juni 2023. Hasil dari  program tersebut adalah pengkajian didapatkan data demografi tentang pernikahan muda, Musyawarah masyarakat desa dihasilkan terkait topik pencegahan nikah muda, pelatihan drama  Bilik Enom pada kelompok remaja, peningakatan pengetahuan pada kelompok remaja dan orang tua dalam mencegah nikah muda (p=0,000), dan advokasi kepada masyarakat tentang nikah muda oleh lembaga bantuan hukum. Kesimpulan dari  program tersebut adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pencegahan nikah muda dan terdapat advokasi  pada masyarakat dalam mencegah nikah muda. Serta luaran program berupa modul Bilik Enom pencegahan pernikahan muda.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to illustrate the suicide risk among Generation Z in the city of Malang. The design used is quantitative with a survey approach. The population in this study is Generation Z, aged 19–26 years, in the city of Malang. The research sample consisted of 305 respondents using the Purposive Sampling technique. The research was conducted in 5 sub-districts, namely Lowokwaru, Sukun, Blimbing, Klojen, and Kedungkandang, from January to September 2024. The variable being studied is the risk of suicide. The measurement tool used is the Suicidal Ideation Scale (SIS) questionnaire. The SIS consists of 2 indicators: suicidal desire and resolved plans/preparations. Data analysis used the median and percentile values because the data is not normally distributed. The normality test was conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method with SPSS Statistics 27. The research results show that the desire to commit suicide has a median value of 2.00, suicide plans/preparations of 0.00, and an overall suicide risk of 3.0. The suicide risk among Generation Z in Malang City is 3.0, which means that the higher the mental health issues faced by Generation Z, the higher their suicidal thoughts.

Abstract

Purpose: This program aims to increase the self-confidence of students majoring in nursing assistants at SMK NU Miftakhul Huda in communicating in English and providing good and quality care services as their target situation as caregivers in a global setting. Methodology/approach: This program was implemented at SMK NU Miftakhul Huda in the Kepanjen District of Malang Regency, East Java. The partners were 14 class XII students. The method was divided into three sessions: brainstorming, discussion, lectures, case studies, and practice approaches. The tools used for measurement were questionnaires and English practice observation sheets. Results/findings: There was a change in English language skills and knowledge about self-branding (0.000), and practice skills of basic English in health (75.72 ± 12.65), which had a very good meaning. Conclusion: he training program successfully improved students’ English communication skills and self-branding competence, which are essential for preparing them as caregivers in a global setting. The results demonstrate significant progress in knowledge, confidence, and practical abilities, indicating that continuous training and support will strengthen their readiness to compete in the international workforce in the future. Limitation: Partner's motivation and interest in speaking English, the need for familiarization, and repetition of English language competence. Contribution: This program has an impact on the school as a vocational school by improving students’ English competence as a working language in a global setting and self-branding for preparation for work as a form of self-promotion and self-confidence.

Abstract

Background: The mental health of Gen Z is a concern worldwide, of which suicide is one of the major causes of death. In collectivist societies such as Indonesia, the support of the peers may be a very important factor that protects the individual, however, there is still very little research evidence available to substantiate this.Objective: This study aimed to understand the association between peer support and suicide risk in Gen Z individuals from Malang City, Indonesia.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 207 Gen Z participants (mean age 21.37 years, 68.6% females) chosen through purposive sampling. Peer support was assessed by the Peer Social Support questionnaire (37 items, α=0.932), and suicide risk by the Revised Suicide Ideation Scale (10 items, α=0.941).Results: The prevalence of high suicidal ideation was 11.6%. There was a very strong correlation between peer support and suicide risk (χ2=112.847, p<0.001, Cramér's V=0.523). As many as 97.3% of those with high peer support had low levels of suicidal ideation, while 88.2% of those with low peer support showed high levels of suicidal ideation.Conclusion: There is a strong association between peer support and a decrease in the risk of suicide in Indonesian Gen Z which shows bigger effects than in the West. The results lead to the support of the implementation of culturally-appropriate peer-based interventions such as gatekeeper training and digital platforms.

Abstract

Stigma and movement disorders due to drugs in people with mental disorders create problems in the community. Efforts that can be made to prevent through preventive efforts are empowerment in the community. Peer groups are a form of empowerment between peer groups. The aim of this program is to train youth groups in helping ODGJ reduce movement disorders caused by mental disorders drugs. The method used is through FGD and measuring partners' knowledge and dancing skills. The program will be implemented in June 2023. The stages include pre-program, module prescription testing, program socialization, traditional dance peer group training, and evaluation and follow-up plans. The pre-program results agreed regarding advocacy activities for people with mental disorders, the results of the perception equality test (ICC: 0.945), the knowledge value of (p= 0.000), the value of traditional dance peer group skills (mean 75), and the results of the FGD with partners making innovation program in mental health posyandu. The conclusion is that traditional dance peer group training in preventing movement disorders for ODGJ can be used as health promotion in mentally healthy posyandu.

Abstract

The lifestyle experienced by Generation Z of the East Java Arek ethnicity causes mental health problems. One of the efforts that can be made to prevent mental health problems is mental health self-care. This study aims to describe the mental health self-care behavior of the Z generation of the East Java Arek ethnicity. The method used is descriptive quantitative research with a survey approach. The population of this research is all Generation Z of East Java Generation ethnicity. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 402 respondents Z, ethnic Arek, East Java. The research was conducted in Malang, Sidoarjo, and Surabaya. The measuring tool used is The Mindful Self-Care Scale questionnaire. The data collection technique uses Google Forms, distributed via WhatsApp, WhatsApp groups, Telegram, and social media. Of the results of mental health self-care for generation Z of the Arek ethnicity, 19% carry out self-care, and an average of 82.61 positive behavior the generation Z of the Arek ethnicity in carrying out mental health self-care. Conclusion of mental health self-care Z generation of East Java Arek ethnicity prefers self-care behavior and positive behavior in carrying out mental health self-care.
