Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menyusun naskah dongeng tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana tanah longsor, mendesain dan membuat pop up book tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana tanah longsor, dan mengetahui tingkat efektivitas metode mendongeng dengan media Pop Up book dalam pendidikan kesiapsiagan bencana tanah longsor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling  pada kelas rendah, sedangkan pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara dan  kuesioner. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan desain dan susunan naskah dongeng sesuai untuk anak usia PAUD Dewi Sartika Kecamatan Bergas. Desain dan pembuatan pop up book disesuaikan dengan naskah dongeng dan mempertimbangkan unsur gerak serta unsur tiga dimensi, dan tingkat efektivitas penerapan metode mendongeng dengan media Pop up book dalam pendidikan kesiapsiagaan bencana tanah longsor untuk siswa PAUD Dewi Sartika Kecamatan Bergas termasuk dalam kategori efektif dengan nilai gain sebesar 0,528 atau dalam kategori efektivitas sedang.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um017v23i22018p085

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kehidupan dan penghidupan masyarakat suku jawa di Karimunjawa terhadap tingkat pendidikan dan pola interaksi masyarakat suku jawa dengan suku lain di Karimunjawa serta persebaran penduduk suku jawa di Karimunjawa. Seperti yang telah diketahui bahwa kepulauan Karimunjawa merupakan pulau dengan heterogenitas suku, ras dan agama yang tinggi yang sangat rawan konflik. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan Instrumen, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase dan analisis data tabulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Masyarakat suku Jawa merupakan penduduk dominas dan merata di setiap pulau Karimunjawa baik di desa Karimunjawa, desa Kemojan, desa Parang dan desa Nyamuk. Pola Interaksi yang terjalin antara suku Jawa dan suku lain terlihat baik dan terbuka dibuktikan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam perayaan kesenian jawa. Adapun kehidupan dan penghidupan masyarakat suku Jawa meliputi mata pencaharian, agama, pendidikan, pendapatan, dan fasilitas umum terlihat baik dan tersedia di Karimunjawa meskipun perlu adanya pembaharuan dan peningkatan di beberapa segi yaitu fasilitas pendidikan dan fasilitas Kesehatan.Kata kunci: Masyarakat Jawa, Karimunjawa, Pendidikan, Pola InteraksiThis research aims to determine how the life and livelihoods of the Javanese people in Karimunjawa affect the level of education and the interaction patterns of the Javanese people with other ethnic groups in Karimunjawa and the distribution of the Javanese population in Karimunjawa. As we know that Karimunjawa island is an island which has high ethnicity, race, and religion heterogeneity, and those can easily leads a conflict. The researcher collects the data using the interview and documentation instrument. Analysis technique uses percentage descriptive analysis and tabulation data analysis. The result of the research shows that the javanese people are dominant and  evenly spreaded in Karimunjawa village, Kemojan village, Parang village, and Nyamuk village. Interaction pattern that occurs between javanese people and other ethnic seems good and open, it is proven with their good participation in the celebration of javanese ceremonial or arts. As for the life and livelihoods of Javanese people including livelihoods, religion, education, income, and public facilities look good and are available in Karimunjawa. However, in some aspect namely educational and health facility still need a renewal and improvement.Keyword: Javanese people, Karimunjawa, Education, Interaction

Abstract

AbstractResearch on the evaluation of teacher professionalism competence on geography and ips subjects in smp n 1 karimunjawa, mts safinatul huda karimunjawa and ma nu safinatul huda karimunjawa aims to know the level of professionalism of geography teacher and ips at karimunjawa island schools especially in smp n 1 karimunjawa, mts safinatul huda karimunjawa and ma nu safinatul huda karimunjawa and constraints faced by geography teachers and ips in building professional competence. The competency indicators used for this research are pedagogical, professional, personality and social competence. The result of professional competence of teacher of geography and ips in karimunjawa categorized as competent. Constraints faced by teachers to improve professional competence include lack of school infrastructure and media used for classroom learning. Suggestion in this research is that school is expected to improve facility to support teacher performance so as to achieve professional competence of geography teacher and ips to be better. Teachers are expected to be able to develop their performance and meet teacher standards by increasing knowledge insight in the field that is experienced through teacher education training.

Abstract

Mountain climbing activities are positive activities but unfortunately there are still climbers who are less concerned aboutenvironmental sustainability with destructive behavior. This study aims to explain how the behavior of mountain climbers,find out what efforts are made by managers and climbers, and analyze what factors influence to maintain sustainability inMount Merbabu National Park. The population in this study were mountain climbers on Mount Merbabu through 5 hikingtrails available. The samples used were mountain climbers from every official lane on Mount Merbabu as many as 100respondents. The method of data collection in research uses 4 methods, namely questionnaires, interviews, observation, anddocumentation. While the analytical method used is the percentage descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of thestudy it was found that the behavior of climbers in reducing damage on Mount Merbabu amounted to 73.8% which wasincluded in the positive category which explained the climbers had behaved positively when climbing. Efforts to reduce thedamage that occurred on Mount Merbabu. For the damage that occurred in Mount Merbabu National Park, namely damageto the hiking trail, vandalism, garbage, facilities that were not used according to their functions and forest fires due to naturalfactors. The actions taken by the manager are updating existing regulations. The regulation starts from the regulationsregarding climbers' luggage up to the climber quota restrictions per day. Then the factors that influence climbers to maintainthe environment with a reference to how the attitudes, values, and actions of the climbers when making the climb can be knownat 76.8%. Kegiatan pendakian gunung merupakan kegiatan yang positif tetapi sayangnya masih ada pendaki yang kurang peduliterhadap kelestarian lingkungan dengan perilaku merusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana perilakupendaki gunung, mengetahui upaya apa saja yang dilakukan oleh pengelola juga para pendaki, dan menganalisis faktor apayang mempengaruhi untuk menjaga kelestarian di Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu.. Populasi dalam penelitian iniadalah para pendaki gunung di Gunung Merbabu melalui 5 jalur pendakian yang ada. Sampel yang digunakan adalah parapendaki gunung dari setiap jalur resmi di Gunung Merbabu sebanyak 100 responden. Metode pengumpulan data padapenelitian menggunakan 4 metode, yaitu kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan metode analisisyang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa perilaku pendakidalam mengurangi kerusakan di Gunung Merbabu sebesar 73,8% yang termasuk dalam kategori positif yang menjelaskanpara pendaki telah berperilaku positif ketika mendaki. Upaya mengurangi kerusakan yang terjadi di Gunung Merbabu.Untuk kerusakan yang terjadi di Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu, yaitu rusaknya jalur pendakian, aksi vandalisme,sampah, fasilitas yang tidak digunakan sesuai fungsinya dan kebakaran hutan karena faktor alam. Tindakan yang dilakukanpihak pengelola adalah memperbarui peraturan-peraturan yang sudah ada. Peraturan tersebut dimulai dari peraturantentang barang bawaan pendaki sampai dengan pembatasan kuota pendaki perharinya. Kemudian faktor yangmempengaruhi pendaki untuk menjaga lingkungan dengan acuan bagaimana sikap, nilai, dan tindakan para pendaki ketikamelakukan pendakian dapat diketahui sebesar 76,8%.

Abstract

Dieng area is one of potato producer areas. Land clearing for potato crops has increased land damage. Communities have local wisdom that has not applied by potato farmers. The research aims to find out farmer participation in performing land conservation local wisdom. Purposive sampling is used as a sampling technique with sample indicators consist of people who do farming, knowledgeable people, and young generation. The research location is Sembungan Village that dominates by high slope land and Dieng Kulon Village, which is a flat land. The research samples comprise 60 respondents of 1,428 populations. Data collection technique was done using questionnaire, interview, and observation, whereas data analysis method used percentage frequency. The research result indicates that the forms of farmers’ local wisdom in land conservation include nyabuk gunung, tumpang sari (intercropping), selokan dalam (deep gutter), galengan berbatu/rumput (stony/grassy small dikes), a day-related myth, and manure. Regarding farmer participation in Sambungan Village, 52.31% participate less in conservation according to local wisdom. Based on Conservation Activity Index (Indeks Kegiatan Konservasi/IKK), 47.69% farmers did not participate in land conservation. According to the index, only 23.59% farmers in Dieng Kulon Village perform land conservation.

Abstract

Human activity is one of the primary triggers for environmental degradation in Indonesia. The level of disaster risk in an area can be affected by environmental damage that occurs in that area. In order to minimize the occurrence of natural disasters caused by human intervention, concern for the environment needs to be increased. For this reason, it is necessary to apply environmentally sound learning models and methods, which are expected to be able to increase students' environmental care attitudes. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of using the Project Based Learning model with outdoor learning to increase the environmental care attitude of class XI students in geography learning on disaster mitigation material. The type of approach applied in this research is quantitative, with the research method in the form of quasi-experiments. By conducting a mean compare test through an independent sample t-test in both groups, a significance value of 0.829 was obtained. A significance value that is much greater than 0.05 illustrates that the experimental learning models and methods can improve students' environmental care attitudes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of project-based learning models with outdoor learning has proven effective in increasing students' awareness of the environment, especially in material that discusses natural disaster mitigation in geography learning. Aktivitas manusia adalah salah satu pemicu utama terjadinya penurunan kualitas lingkungan di Indonesia. Tingkat resiko kejadian bencana di suatu wilayah dapat dipengaruhi oleh kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi di wilayah tersebut. Demi meminimalisir terjadinya bencana alam yang disebabkan oleh campur tangan manusia maka kepedulian terhadap lingkungan perlu ditingkatkan. Untuk itu diperlukan penerapan model dan metode pembelajaran berwawasan lingkungan yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model Project Based Learning dengan pembelajaran outdoor dalam meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik kelas XI pada pembelajaran geografi materi mitigasi bencana. Jenis pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian berupa eksperimen semu. Dengan melakukan uji compare mean melalui uji independent sample t-test di kedua kelompok diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,829. Nilai signifikasi yang jauh lebih besar dari 0,05 menggambarkan bahwa model dan metode pembelajaran yang dieksperimenkan dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan penggunaan model project-based learning dengan pembelajaran outdoor terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kepedulian peserta didik terhadap lingkungan khususnya pada materi yang membahas mitigasi bencana alam dalam pembelajaran geografi.

This research aims to describe the application and analyze learning outcomes, as well as determine student responses regarding the application of a learning media guidebook based on volcano replicas. The variables of this research are the suitability of learning media, the process of applying media in geography learning, and student learning outcomes. The majority of students (77%) experienced an increase in the medium category, while a small number of students (6%) experienced an increase in the low category, and a group of students (17%) experienced an increase in the high category. The N-Gain value ranges from 0.286 to 0.833, overall the average student increase is 0.512, indicating a sufficient increase in learning outcomes. Implementation of learning using replica-based media based on learning outcomes obtained an average score of 84.16. while in the class implementing learning activities using the lecture method, the average score was 68.16. So media and media application activities can have an influence on learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna bencana dari perspektif filsafat geografi. Geografi yang dikenal sebagai mother of science karena banyak ilmu pengetahuan yang dikaji selalu dimulai dari keadaan bumi. Geografi suatu bagian dari ilmu yang membahas tentang kebumian serta berbagai fenomena di bumi yang berkaitan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dengan kehidupan manusia, juga mempelajari pola spasial. Bencana adalah bagian dari kajian geografi, yang merupakan ilmu penting untuk dipelajari. Indonesia merupakan Negara yang rentan terhadap bencana alam yang mungkin terjadi kapan saja. Dari perspektif ontologi, bencana adalah peristiwa alam, non-alam, atau sosial yang mengancam dan mengganggu kehidupan serta mata pencaharian masyarakat yang terkena dampaknya. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan korban jiwa, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian materi, dan dampak psikologis. Sedangkan aspek epistimologi, membahas fenomena geosfer secara deduktif dan juga induktif dilengkapi pula dengan Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan meta-sintetis dengan literature review yang menidentifikasi, menilai, dan menginterpretasi seluruh temuan dalam topik penelitian dengan tujuan menjawab permasalahan dalam penelitian guna mendukung penelitian bencana dalam ilmu geografi. Dalam bidang aksiologi, studi atau penelitian tentang bencana dapat memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi kehidupan, baik dari segi fisik maupun sosial.

Abstract

The Disaster Resilient Village Program in Sidomulyo Village successfully enhanced the community's capacity to face flood disasters. Through situation mapping, stunting education, evacuation route assistance, and an early warning system, this program demonstrated increased community awareness and preparedness. As a result, awareness of flood risks increased from 45% to 75%, stunting prevalence decreased from 35% to 25%, and evacuation effectiveness significantly improved. Additionally, the implementation of the early warning system successfully reduced the community's response time to flood hazards. This study supports previous findings emphasizing the importance of empowerment and active community participation in disaster mitigation. However, further research is needed to provide a long-term overview of the program's effectiveness and examine the correlation between various types of disasters and their impacts on socio-economic resilience. Longitudinal studies and participatory approaches involving the community at every research stage are recommended to ensure the sustainability and relevance of disaster mitigation programs. Thus, this program is expected to serve as a model for other villages in Demak Regency and surrounding areas.ABSTRAKProgram Desa Tangguh Bencana di Desa Sidomulyo berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana banjir. Melalui pemetaan keadaan, edukasi stunting, pendampingan jalur evakuasi, dan sistem peringatan dini, program ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat. Hasilnya, tingkat kesadaran tentang risiko banjir meningkat dari 45% menjadi 75%, prevalensi stunting menurun dari 35% menjadi 25%, dan efektivitas evakuasi meningkat signifikan. Selain itu, implementasi sistem peringatan dini berhasil mengurangi waktu respon masyarakat terhadap bahaya banjir. Studi ini mendukung temuan sebelumnya yang menekankan pentingnya pemberdayaan dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam mitigasi bencana. Namun, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memberikan gambaran jangka panjang tentang efektivitas program ini dan mengkaji keterkaitan antara berbagai jenis bencana dan dampaknya terhadap ketahanan sosial-ekonomi. Penelitian longitudinal dan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat dalam setiap tahap penelitian dianjurkan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan relevansi program mitigasi bencana. Dengan demikian, program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi desa lain di Kabupaten Demak dan wilayah sekitarnya.
