Abstract

Infiltration wells are a form of hydrological infrastructure used to manage rainwater. Infiltration wells are usually built as part of a rainwater management system to soak rainwater into the ground and reduce surface waterlogging as well as slow down surface runoff and allow rainwater to seep into the ground to renew aquifers or prevent waterlogging. Maintaining groundwater levels is an important step in sustainable water resource management. The aim of this research is to plan effective infiltration wells to replace rainwater catchment areas lost due to building construction. The planning of this infiltration well uses the Sunjoto  method. From the research results, it was found that an effective infiltration well design was calculated using the Sunjoto  method. With the data, each roof area of the house has an optimum number of infiltration wells with a planned infiltration well diameter of 1 m with a depth of 2.5 m with an effective depth according to the calculations is as follows: 60 m2 number of 1 unit of absorption well with an optimum depth of 2.82 m, 80 m2 number of 2 units of absorption well with an optimum depth of 3.76 m, 100 m2 number of 2 units of absorption well with an optimum depth of 4.7 m, 120 m2 number of 2 units of infiltration wells with an optimum depth of 5.64 m, 140 m2 number of 3 units of absorption wells with an optimum depth of 6.58 m, 160 m2 number of 3 units of absorption wells with an optimum depth of 7.52 m, 180 m2 number of 3 units of absorption wells with an optimum depth of 8.46 m, 200 m2 total of 4 units of infiltration wells with  an  optimum depth  of 9.4 m.

Abstract

Indian camphorweed (Pluchea indica Less.) leaves exhibit antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial activities, indicating significant potential for the pharmaceutical industry. This research aimed to determine the optimal rates of chicken manure for enhancing leaf and total flavonoid production in Pluchea indica. The study took place at the IPB Experimental Station in Bogor, Indonesia, spanning from July to October 2023. A completely randomized block design with a single factor (chicken manure doses) was employed: 0, 2.5, 5, or 7.5 kg per plant. Each treatment comprised three replications, each consisting of 20 plants. The results revealed that the application of chicken manure at 2.5 kg per plant led to significantly taller plants, more leaves, and tertiary branches compared to the control group. Specifically, the 2.5 kg dosage significantly increased the nitrogen content of the 7th leaf and the potassium content of the 3rd leaf. Meanwhile, the application of 5 kg of chicken manure per plant significantly boosted phosphorus content in the 3rd and 7th leaves and potassium content in the 5th and 7th leaves. However, no significant differences were observed in total flavonoid and antioxidant activity across all leaf positions with chicken manure application. Plants receiving 5 kg of manure demonstrated the highest fresh leaf weight (81.64 g) and dry weight (38.27 g), which were significantly greater than those receiving 2.5 kg per plant or no manure. Despite these variations, flavonoid production per plant did not show a significant difference with manure application.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The present study reports the first comprehensive study on the freshwater macroinvertebrates and its habitat preferences in Bilah River, the largest riverin the Northern Sumatra. The riverside is characterized by the presence of anthropogenic and industrial activities which may alter the macroinvertebrate assemblage and biodiversity. Five months of investigation on 10 sampling stations from December 2016 to October 2017 was conducted based on the river flow in Bilah River. Principal component analysis indicated a decrease in trophic status from upstream to downstream of the river. A total of 27 taxa were recorded, with the most abundant group The developmental task of a child is something that appears at a certain period in the life span, if one phase fails it will cause various difficulties in completing the next phase of development. This is experienced by students with special needs (PDBK). Currently, the reality of teachers in the field is that they do not understand how to identify and assess these developmental phases for GDPK, which is a prerequisite for supporting success in the academic field. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of developmental assessments in the two inclusive organizing schools, Ibnu Sina and Mutiara Bunda, in finding the actual GDPK profile through the “Daming Cycle” management theory approach from W. Edward Daming. In particular, this study describes and analyzes (1) plan, (2) Do, (3) Check and (4) action on developmental assessment using Sallis Edward's quality theory and Huvinggurst's developmental theory. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Collecting data by conducting observations, interviews, and study of documentation and validation of research results by conducting FGD (forum group discussion). The results of the study indicate that the management of developmental assessments at the inclusive schools of Ibnu Sina and Mutiara Bunda has been carried out by adjusting the existing concept rules, although in its implementation there are still obstacles, especially in terms of parental commitment and teacher understanding in GDPK confectionery.
