Abstract

Reading anxiety refers to the fear learners experience when reading a foreign language, impacting both the mind and body. This anxiety leads to cognitive, physical, and emotional problems, hindering students' ability to understand and extract information from texts, which significantly affects their reading achievement. This research examined the correlation and influence between students' reading anxiety and reading comprehension achievement among eleventh-grade students at MAN 2 Palembang. This study employed a quantitative, non-experimental research design utilizing a correlational approach. The study focused on eleventh-grade students from MAN 2 Palembang, with a sample of 102 students selected using convenience sampling. This study utilized the FLRAS Questionnaire, developed by Saito et al. (1999), and a reading test to gather data. The Pearson product-moment correlation was used with SPSS 26 to evaluate variable relationships. The findings indicated a moderate relationship between students' reading comprehension proficiency and reading anxiety level, with the correlation coefficient or R-value (0,522) higher than r-table (0,192). Furthermore, the findings suggested that students' reading anxiety substantially impacted their reading comprehension achievement, whose value (6,114) was higher than t-table(1,984)and sig. Value (0,000) was lower than probability (0,05). It could be proved that different levels of reading anxiety had a significant correlation to the student's reading comprehension achievement. The study revealed text features as the primary cause of students' foreign language reading anxiety, offering potential pedagogical benefits for future research and students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai karakter dan kedudukan puisi lisan Baode pada upacara penyambutan tamu suku Banggai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Banggai Laut prov. Sulawesi Tengah. Data dan sumber data meliputi data primer dan data sekunder, data primer dalam penelitian ini yaitu teks puisi lisan Baode dan data sekunder dalam penelitian ini yaitu data tambahan yang diperoleh informan yang mengetahui tentang kedudukan puisi lisan Baode bagi masyarakat Banggai. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dan perekaman. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai karakter puisi lisan Baode pada upacara penyambutan tamu, terdapat nilai religius, nilai budi pekerti, nilai jujur, nilai kerja keras, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai toleransi, nilai displin, nilai kreatif. (2) kedudukan puisi lisan Baode bagi masyarakat Banggai yaitu sebagai acuan dalam menjalani kehidupan, masyarakat menganggap bahwa nilai dan budaya dalam puisi lisan Baode tidak dapat ditinggalkan sebab setiap penggalan puisi tersebut memuat pesan-pesan yang menuntun dalam perbaikan hubungan sosial antara masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Puisi lisan Baode memiliki nilai karakter seperti nilai religius, nilai budi pekerti, nilai jujur, nilai kerja keras, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai toleransi, nilai displin dan nilai kreatif. (2) Kedudukan puisi lisan Baode dalam masyarakat Banggai telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan budaya dan sosial masyarakat setempat berabad-abad. Masyarakat Banggai meyakini bahwa pesan yang disampaikan dalam puisi lisan Baode menunjukkan perhatian masyarakat sebagai pelaku dalam hidup bermasyarakat.

Abstract

Character-Based Socio-Cultural Values in Pappasang Turiolo Makassar: Study of Sociology and Literature. This study aims to describe, explore, and explain the socio-cultural values in pappasang turiolo Makassar as a sociology study of literature. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences in Papasang Turiolo Makassar. The data collection technique in this research is to study documents and literature. The results showed that the socio-cultural values of pappasang turiolo Makassar based on character were leadership values, honesty values, unity values, selfish values, and religious values. Based on the research findings, the writer hopes to contribute knowledge about culture and enrich existing research results and provide a clear picture of Pappasang Turiolo, especially the socio-cultural values contained in it, providing benefits from an explanation of Pappasang Turiolo to the community. As well as readers can take socio-cultural values which are a reflection of community life as a guide in life.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the need for innovation in teaching methods to improve students' ability to identify information in descriptive texts. At MTs Al-Ikhlas Bilungala, conventional teaching approaches often failed to motivate students, resulting in their low understanding of the material. The Scramble learning model was chosen because it is considered capable of creating an interactive, collaborative, and enjoyable learning atmosphere to address these challenges. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, results, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in using the Scramble model for teaching the identification of information in descriptive texts in Grade VII at MTs Al-Ikhlas Bilungala. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The findings reveal that the lesson planning was designed for two meetings, its implementation followed the prepared lesson plans (RPP), and the results showed an increase in students' scores from an average of 65 in the pre-test to 80 in the post-test, with 80% of students meeting the minimum mastery criteria. The supporting factors in the learning process include interactivity, collaboration, and the use of diverse roles, while the inhibiting factors involve varying levels of student participation and difficulties in understanding texts. Overall, the Scramble model proved effective in improving students' understanding, despite some challenges that need to be addressed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif memiliki dampak signifikan pada pembelajaran menulis puisi bagi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket kepada 30 peserta didik dari total populasi 432 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan wawancara, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum penerapan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, nilai rata-rata siswa dalam pretest adalah 73,933. Namun, setelah penerapan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, nilai rata-rata siswa dalam posttest meningkat menjadi 88,0666. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan dampak positif dari penggunaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran. Hasil uji hipotesis juga mendukung kesimpulan ini, dengan nilai t Hitung yang setara dengan t Tabel (1.848). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan kemampuan berpikir kreatif memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the challenges of enhancing student motivation and engagement in news text analysis learning at SMPN 1 Telaga by utilizing gamification through the Genial.ly platform. The study describes the implementation of gamification in news text analysis learning using the Genial.ly platform in class VII at SMPN 1 Telaga, as well as students' responses to this approach. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that 85.71% of students achieved learning mastery. The implementation of interactive quizzes and a points system successfully created a dynamic learning environment, improving student motivation, participation, and understanding. Although there were technical challenges, the implementation was effective in increasing engagement. Adjustments to the method based on student feedback are necessary for more optimal learning outcomes in the future.

Abstract

This research discusses efforts to increase teacher competency in blended learning-based technology through a gender approach. Blended learning, which combines online and face-to-face learning methods, has the potential to increase interaction and learning accessibility, but requires adequate technological skills from teachers. By considering a gender perspective, this research explores the differences and gaps that may arise between male and female teachers in adopting blended learning technology. Data was collected through a survey of a number of teachers from various school levels who had access to blended learning training. The research results show that there are disparities in the use of technology, where gender, age and experience factors influence teacher competence in implementing learning technology. This research recommends gender-based training that supports all teachers in developing their technology skills, to create more inclusive and effective learning environments. Thus, increasing this competency not only supports teacher career development, but also improves student learning outcomes through the use of more adaptive and responsive technology. Penelitian ini membahas upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam teknologi berbasis pembelajaran campuran (blended learning) melalui pendekatan gender. Blended learning yang menggabungkan metode pembelajaran daring dan tatap muka memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan aksesibilitas pembelajaran, namun memerlukan keterampilan teknologi yang memadai dari guru. Dengan mempertimbangkan perspektif gender, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi perbedaan dan kesenjangan yang mungkin muncul antara guru pria dan wanita dalam mengadopsi teknologi blended learning. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap sejumlah guru dari berbagai tingkatan sekolah yang memiliki akses terhadap pelatihan blended learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya disparitas dalam penggunaan teknologi, di mana faktor gender, usia, dan pengalaman mempengaruhi kompetensi guru dalam penerapan teknologi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelatihan berbasis gender yang mendukung seluruh guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan teknologi mereka, guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih inklusif dan efektif. Dengan demikian, peningkatan kompetensi ini tidak hanya mendukung perkembangan karir guru, tetapi juga meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penggunaan teknologi yang lebih adaptif dan responsif.

Abstract

Peran Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) dalam Mengembangkan Minat Baca Anak dan Masyarakat Kabupaten Tolitoli. Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Fakultas Sastra dan Budaya. Pembimbing I : Dr. Salam, Pembimbing II Eka Sartika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mencari tahu tentang peran TBM Mapande dalam mengembangkan minat baca anak dan masyarakat Tolitoli. Metode kualitatif dengan jenis penulisan deskriptif yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Beberapa faktor pendukung untuk menunjang penelitian ini yakni gambaran umum lokasi penelitian, sumber informasi penelitian dengan cara mewawancarai narasumber, mengambil dokumentasi, serta melakukan observasi dan diskusi terpimpin, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menunjang perkembangan minat baca anak dan masyarakat yakni ruang membaca serta fasilitas TBM, jarak yang dijangkau oleh masyarakat menuju TBM Mapande dan pengadaan kelas kreasi untuk pengunjung anak-anak  tidak begitu kondusif. Oleh sebab itu evaluasi rutin mulai dari kelengkapan buku dan pendar untuk semua kalangan pengunjung TBM, serta adanya kerja sama pemerintah dan Perpustakaan daerah untuk mengevaluasi kelengkapan buku. Agar fungsi dan pergerakan dari PERAN TBM Mapande betul-betul bermanfaat bagi masyarakat di semua kalangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai religius yang ada dalam kumpulan puisi Mengembara Lewat Sajak karya Sitti Rachmi Masie. Sejalan dengan tujuan penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori Wicaksono yang berfokus pada Hubungan manusia dengan Tuhannya. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan: (1) Pasrah dan menurut kepada Tuhan pada kumpulan puisi Mengembara Lewat Sajak Karya Sitti Rachmi Masie ini ditemukan ada 5 data, (2) Perasaan berdosa kepada Tuhan pada kumpulan puisi Mengembara Lewat Sajak Karya Sitti Rachmi Masie ini ditemukan ada 1 data, (3) Berdoa atau memohon kepada Tuhan pada kumpulan puisi Mengembara Lewat Sajak Karya Sitti Rachmi Masie ini ditemukan sebanyak 9 data, dan (4) Mengakui kebesaran Tuhan pada kumpulan puisi Mengembara Lewat Sajak Karya Sitti Rachmi Masie data yang ditemukan sebanyak 10 data. Kesimpulan pada hasil penelitian ini nilai religius dalam kumpulan puisi Mengambara Lewat Sajak Karya Sitti Rachmi Masie berupa hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan yaitu gambaran manusia yang selalu ingat dan berinteraksi kepada Tuhan, tidak lupa selalu bersyukur kepada Tuhan dengan apa yang telah dikasi Tuhan untuk hambanya.

Abstract

This research is entitled The Application of Behaviorism in Reducing Sexual Addiction Among MiChat Application Users. The background of this study is based on the negative habit of an individual (client G) who frequently used the MiChat application to order sex workers in order to satisfy his sexual desires. The purpose of this research is to reduce client G's sexual addiction by applying behaviorist theory. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that client G experienced significant behavioral changes in a positive direction. He was able to leave his negative habits through several behaviorist-based stages, including assessment, goal setting, motivation by companions, and implementation techniques such as delivering important advice, sincere repentance (Taubat Nasuha), deleting MiChat contacts, strengthening feelings of shame, and fostering positive thinking through self-suggestion. Evaluation was conducted regularly by the counselor by monitoring the client's openness and honesty during the counseling process. The study recommends that behaviorist approaches be applied consistently and combined with spiritual reinforcement to effectively address cases of sexual addiction.
