Abstract

Technology requires an effective and efficient system that is supported by a database to process information data, one of which is the asset inventory information system. Assets are reported by the organization to increase value as well as provide operational benefits to the organization. The more assets owned, the organization needs to have a system to carry out an inventory of these assets, especially related to detailed information. This is very useful for improving performance in an organization such as a university. One of the universities that is still not efficient in inventorying assets is Mulia University. The purpose of this research is to carry out an effective and efficient asset inventory by building information system software to assist the operational performance of Mulia University. In building this research, a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach is needed so that the design is more systematic and flexible if changes occur. In addition, early detection of defects or errors makes it easier to correct changes early in the development process thereby saving time and money in the long run. Then, the testing technique used is black box and white box. The results obtained from this study are information systems for asset inventory can provide solutions to problems in asset management at Mulia University.

Abstract

Companies engaged in distribution utilize warehouses as temporary storage places for goods. The use of warehouses certainly has several procedures that must be applied so that goods are managed properly. In the practice of warehouse management, there are several processes that are carried out before the goods are distributed to customers. Based on interviews and observations that have been made, CV Sidodadi Textile experienced several main obstacles, including recording incoming and outgoing goods manually, causing difficulty in managing documents and archives of incoming and outgoing goods. From the problems that exist in the CV Sidodadi Textile, this research offers a solution by developing a mobile web-based fabric warehouse management application that is used for recording data such as incoming goods, outgoing goods, stock of goods, and the position of placing goods which was developed using the waterfall model. This study found 20 functional requirements, 2 non-functional requirements, and 5 actors. This application was developed using the laravel framework. The results of the tests that have been carried out on the mobile web application are validation testing getting the results of the predicate 100% passed, compatibility testing getting the results that the application can run on both iOS and Android mobile browsers, and usability testing getting results with excellent predicates on every aspect of the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ).

Abstract

Information technology events are activities organized by a group that focuses on science in the field of information technology. Based on the results of a survey conducted to 103 people who have attended events in the field of information technology and are over 17 years old, the results show that 71.8 percent of respondents have experienced difficulties in obtaining information on events in the field of information technology with the desired topic. 78.6 percent of respondents have missed an event they wanted to attend before because they forgot it. 92.2 percent of respondents, they need an application where give the information in the field of information technology that includes category division and reminders of events to be attended. Therefore, an application was made that connects event organizers in the field of information technology with people who have an interest in the field of information technology. Applications are developed using the Kotlin programming language, data storage using Firebase services, and using architectural patterns in Clean Architecture. In black-box testing, the results are 100% valid. In compatibility testing, it can be seen that the application can be used on devices with the Android operating system with versions of API 23 to API 30. In usability testing with an alpha level value of 10%, the average actual value is 86.5 ± 4.5 for the application event finder and 89 ± 5.1 for the event organizer application which means the application can be received well.

Abstract

One of the problems experienced by MSMEs is conventional recording. Conventional recording problem causes a discrepancy in the recording of production and transactions of goods. This situation can make it difficult for MSMEs to compete with their competitors. The MSME information system can encourage an increase in the competitiveness of an MSME compared to its competitors. This study aims to develop a mobile application for MSME information systems in the city of Malang. The MSME information system was developed using the SDLC waterfall, the Android operating system, and the Firebase data storage service. This research was conducted in 4 stages, namely needs analysis, design, implementation and testing. The needs analysis carried out resulted in 17 functional requirements and 3 non-functional requirements. The design stage produces activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, pseudocode, data design, and interface design. In the implementation phase, the database, program code and interface are implemented. In the testing phase, 4 tests were carried out, namely validation with black box, usability with SUS, portability (Android version 9.0, 10.0,11.0 and internet connectivity), and localization (translation). Blackbox testing shows 100% valid results for functional requirements. Usability testing with the SUS method produces an average score of 89.5 (best imaginable). Compatibility testing and localization testing show valid results. The results of this study can make it easier for MSME actors to record production and transactions of goods and reduce the risk of recording mismatches.

Abstract

COVID-19 affects consumers' lifestyles, especially in ordering food online. Ordering food online is like using an online food ordering service application. The obstacle faced by this lifestyle is the wastage of food costs. Another obstacle is that there are consumers who do not have time to prepare food independently in order to reduce costs. This can be accomplished with alternatives such as daily meal ordering which prepares scheduled breakfast and lunch at affordable prices. Therefore we need a system that can help bring together daily catering providers and their customers. The system that is built must have high mobility so that it has easy access. In this study, two Android-based applications that are integrated with each other will be built. Determination of functional requirements or application features applying the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) methodology. The development flow follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall. Functional requirements testing using the black box testing method with validation testing techniques. Non-functional testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire method produces an average SUS scale value of 80.5 for usability in customer applications and 66 for usability in vendor applications. With this application, it can help connect daily catering providers with customers in an efficient and integrated manner.

Abstract

Covid-19 has entered Indonesia since the end of 2019. The handling of this outbreak has received attention from the Indonesian government with the establishment of a number of hospitals devoted to dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak. One of these hospitals is the Rumah Sakit Lpangan Ijen Boulevard Malang, which focuses on the service of patients with Covid-19. In the process of running the service, there are obstacles in the nutritionist unit where the nutritionist team cannot communicate and know the patient's condition directly because the patient is in the hospital. isolation area so that it is separated from the position of the nutritionist's office. To overcome these problems, in this study an application was made that is useful for recording patient nutrition care data and communication media between patients and nutritionists. The application in this study was developed in two platforms, namely web and Android specifically for patient-owned applications. REST API technology is used in this application for the data exchange process. For the development of the Android version, the application is developed using Android Hybrid technology. Application testing applies white box testing and black box testing. White box testing consisting of unit testing and integration testing resulted in a 100% valid status. For this type of black box testing, between validation testing and compatibility testing, the results are 100% valid for the test cases that have been determined at the requirements analysis stage.

Abstract

Car rental is a temporary agreement with payment to use someone else's car. People choose rentals because they cannot buy their own or require several cars at once. If there are more requests for rentals, it's harder to remember which car rentals will end. PT Belfano Nahla Utama is a car rental company with hundreds of cars but still doesn't have an automation system. So they can have difficulty for monitoring and reminding the validity period of contracts, bills, vehicle registration, vehicle inspection, and car service. They can suffer losses because they forget to ask for payment or return the car. They also can get fines for being late in extending car maintenance documents. The author develops an Android application with Push Notifications and a Prototype approach to solving the problem with a better understanding of the system. There are 21 functional and 2 non-functional requirements obtained. Usability testing using System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire produces an average score of 83 by 5 employees means Good or B rank and an average score of 91.25 by 2 owners means Excellent or A rank. Black Box testing with 34 test cases producing 91.2% valid. Compatibility testing has 100% valid results.

Abstract

In running its business PT. Indi Platform Raksasa use WhatsApp instant messaging application as a means of communication to its current customers or potential customers. There are 50 admins who accept orders and provide information services to customers. On one day each admin can receive 1500 to 2000 messages per day. To make it easier for admins to remember customer categories, a customer recording system was created using excel, but as the number of messages that come in every day grows, the recording process becomes less efficient and requires a lot of time and effort. In addition, the performance of each admin cannot be controlled because there is no tool to measure admins performance. In this research the author tries to apply the use of information systems to overcome some of the problems above. In developing an information system the author uses the waterfall method. From the results of the requirement gathering of customer online chat management application, there are 2 actors, also there are 21 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. From the results of the requirement gathering, a system design is made that produces 9 classes on the backend and 2 classes on the front end, besides that there are 6 entities in the design of the data structure. In the testing of the developed system, the results of unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing are 100% valid, while the reliability test for the system got 1261 Minutes on the MTBF score.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on society. Interaction restrictions lead to the accessibility of public services, including public health services. Currently, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya has conducted an online hearing screening process. However, it still does not meet the needs of doctors. The author initiated a research entitled "Development of Web-Based Health Service Applications for Hearing Screening (Case Study: Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya)". The author chooses to use Clean Architecture by considering the ease of developing applications without the need to focus on a particular framework. The application is developed on the web so that it can be accessed through a browser. There are 3 tests, namely: functional testing, compatibility testing, and usability testing. In functional testing has been achieved 100% valid. The patient actor usability test got an A+ grade, the doctor actor got a C grade, and the Admin actor got an A grade. Compatibility testing has been running well on Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox browsers.

Abstract

Dojobox Bootcamp Academy is one of the intensive training for the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) which has been running for one batch. From the classes that were already running, several problems were found, including the difficulty of adjusting the time between participants and the class, unstable internet connection, and difficulties in adjusting the learning tempo. Therefore, learning media that can be accessed more flexibly so that participants can access learning content anywhere and anytime. This is in line with the stakeholder's desire to create a learning management system (LMS) as a material for branding the Dojobox Bootcamp Academy. In this study, Goal-Directed Design is used as an approach to link the needs, desires of users and organizational goals. The end result of this is an interactive prototype with a high-fidelity design. The design was evaluated using qualitative and quantitative tests. Qualitative testing was done by using user testing and getting 30 feedback on interaction and interface improvements. Qualitative testing was carried out using a user experience questionnaire (UEQ) and resulted in the following averages: attractiveness scale with 1.32 (above average), perspicuity scale with 2.02 (excellent), efficiency scale with 1.86 (good), dependability scale with 1.52 (good), stimulation scale with 1.54 (good), and novelty scale with 1.25 (good).
