Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan imbangan pakan hijauan (daun singkong) dan konsentrat serta imbangan yang terbaik pada ransum terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan total protein plasma Kambing PE. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada November-Desember 2023 di Peternakan Morgan Farm, Kecamatan Gedong Tataan, Kabupaten Pesawaran. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan menggunakan 9 ekor kambing PE yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan produksi susu harian. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P1: Hijauan 25% + Konsentrat 75%, P2: Hijauan 50% + Konsentrat 50%, P3: Hijauan 75% + Konsentrat 25%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) pada taraf nyata 5%. Peubah yang diamati yaitu kadar glukosa dalam darah dan total protein plasma Kambing PE. Imbangan pakan hijauan (daun singkong) dan konsentrat menunjukkan hasil tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan total protein plasma Kambing PE. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa imbangan pakan hijauan (daun singkong) dan konsentrat yang diberikan sebagai ransum tidak berpengaruh pada kadar glukosa darah dan total protein plasma pada Kambing PE.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pupuk organik kascing dan plant growth promoting rizobacteria (PGPR) terhadap morfologi rumput pakcong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2023-Febuari 2024 bertempat di rumah kaca, Desa Sri Busono, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial, factor pertama yaitu pupuk kascing dan plant growth promoting rizobakteria (PGPR). Faktor kedua yaitu taraf dosis pada masing-masing pupuk, pada Faktor pupuk kascing (kotoran cacing) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu P0 (tanpa pupuk kascing), P1 (pupuk kascing 10 ton/ha), P2 (pupuk kascing 20 ton/ha), P3 (pupuk kascing 30 ton/ha) dan faktor PGPR terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0 (tanpa PGPR), K1 (10 ml PGPR), K2 (20 ml PGPR), K3 (30 ml PGPR). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Sidik Ragam (Analysis of Variance) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil). Hasil penelitian Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan pupuk organik kascing dan PGPR terhadap tinggi rumput pakchong. Namun tidak terdapat interaksi (P>0,05) antara perlakuan pupuk organik kascing dan PGPR terhadap rasio daun dan batang rumput pakchong. Pemberian pupuk organik kascing dengan dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan luas permukaan daun, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap rasio daun dan batang. Pemberian plant growth promoting rizobakteria (PGPR) dengan dosis yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun, rasio daun dan batang, luas permukaan daun, tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan dosis terbaik pemberian Rabal terhadap konsumsi bahan kering dan bahan organik, serta kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik ransum pada kambing Rambon. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember 2023--Januari 2024 di peternakan rakyat Desa Tanjung Tirto, Kecamatan Way Bungur, Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga total kambing yang digunakan 16 ekor. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu ransum basal (P0); ransum basal + probiotik Rabal 100 kebutuhan BK ransum (P1); ransum basal + probiotik Rabal 150 kebutuhan BK ransum (P2); ransum basal + probiotik Rabal 200 kebutuhan BK ransum (P3). Peubah yang diamati konsumsi bahan kering dan bahan organik, serta kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) pada taraf 5%, jika terdapat pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian pada konsumsi bahan kering sebesar (P0 435,66; P1 453,45; P2 412,45; dan P3 445,30) g/ekor/hari, pada konsumsi bahan organik sebesar (P0 404,72; P1 421,48; P2 383,11; dan P3 413,70) g/ekor/hari, pada kecernaan bahan kering (P0 52,66%; P1 54,86%; P2 51,78%; dan P3 56,49%), pada kecernaan bahan organik (P0 55,28%; P1 57,45%; P2 54,29%; dan P3 61,20%). Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik Rabal tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering dan bahan organik, serta kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Dengan demikian, belum terdapat level pemberian probiotik Rabal terbaik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi rumput laut pada sapi potong terhadap produksi gas metana dan dinitrogen oksida kultur feses. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober – Desember 2023 di KPT Maju Sejahtera, Kecamatan Tanjung Sari, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, dengan menggunakan 18 ekor sapi potong lokal. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P1; rumput pakchong + konsentrat (perbandingan 70%:30% BK pakan), P2; rumput pakchong + konsentrat (perbandingan 70% : 30% BK pakan) + rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii (4% BK pakan) dan P3; rumput pakchong + konsentrat (perbandingan 70% : 30% BK pakan) + rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii (4% BK pakan) + biochar (0,05% BK pakan). Variabel yang diamati yaitu Produksi Gas Metana dan Dinitrogen Oksida. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan puncak produksi gas metana (CH4) terjadi pada hari ke 0 sampai ke 3 yaitu sebesar 2936,90 g/ton feses/hari. Puncak produksi dinitrogen oksida terjadi pada hari ke 3 sampai ke 12 yaitu sebesar 43430,59 g/ton feses/hari.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the processing of ammoniated, biofermented and amorphous corn husks on physical quality, dry matter, ash content, crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), crude fiber (CF), and nitrogen free extract (NFE). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments given were P1: untreated corn husks (control), P2: ammoniated corn husks (2% urea), P3: fermented corn husks (5% Aspergillus niger), and P4: amofered corn husks (2% urea + 5% Aspergillus niger). The variables observed included physical quality and nutrient content (dry matter, ash, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber, and nitrogen free extract). The data obtained  analyzed using Analysis of Variety and followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results of the study had a significant effect on the physical quality, dry matter, ash, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber and nitrogen free extract (P<0,05), but had no effect (P>0,05) on the ash content. Amopheric processing has the best effect on physical quality, crude protein and crude fiber content of corn husks. Fermentation processing gives the best effect on ether extract and nitrogen free extract.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ratio forage and concentrate on the dry matter consumption, dry matter and dry organic matter digestibility in etawa crossbreed dairy goats. This research was conducted in November-December 2023 at Morgan Farm, Sukabanjar village, Pesawaran district, Lampung. The analysis was carried out in the animal nutrition and feed laboratory, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study used a randomized block design with 3 treatments and 3 replications using 9 etawa crossbreed dairy goats. The treatments used were P1 (25% casava waste forage + 75% concentrate); P2 (50% casava waste forage + 50% concentrate); and P3 (75% casava waste forage + 25% concentrate). The data obtained were analyzed for variance at a real level of 5%. The results of the analysis of variance show the ratio forage and concentrate had no significant effect (P>0.05) on dry matter consumption, dry matter and organic matter digestibility in etawa crossbreed dairy goats.

Abstract

This research aims to determine effect of applying a combination of trichocompost fertilizer and NPK fertilizer with different levels on the productivity of Pakchong grass. This research was conducted from October to December 2023 at the Integrated Field Laboratory Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of trichocompost and NPK fertilizer factors. The trichocompost fertilizer factor consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely T0: without trichocompost (control), T1: 15 tons/ha of trichocompost fertilizer, T2: 30 tons/ha of trichocompost fertilizer, and T3: 45 tons/ha of trichocompost and the NPK fertilizer factor consists of 4 treatment levels, namely K0: no NPK fertilizer (control), K1: 100 kg/ha urea + 50 kg/ha TSP + 50 kg/ha KCL, K2: 150 kg/ha urea + 75 kg/ha TSP + 75 kg/ha KCL, and K3: 200 kg/ha urea + 100 kg/ha TSP + 100 kg/ha KCL. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD). The results showed that the combination of trichocompost and NPK fertilizer did not give a significant interaction (P>0.05) on the number of tillers, fresh weight and dry matter of pakchong grass, but  had a significant effect (P<0.05) on fresh weight and dry matter of pakchong grass crown. The results of the LSD test on fresh weight and dry matter of pakchong grass showed  that T3 trichocompost fertilizer treatment gave the best results when compared to other treatments. The results showed that the use of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the crude protein content and crude fiber content of pakchog grass. The results of the LSD test on crude protein showed that K3 treatment provides the best results compared to other treatments. While the crude fiber content of K3 treatment was significantly different from K1.

Abstract

This study was conducted to apply various concentration levels of complete premix (CP) as a dietary supplement in order to determine the optimal concentration for enhancing nutrient digestibility in Cross Boer goats. The results of this research are expected to provide a scientific basis for developing more effective and efficient feed formulations on farms to accelerate productivity achievement in goats, thereby supporting the Government of Indonesia’s national meat self-sufficiency program and contributing to the realization of food self-reliance as part of the Asta Cita goals. The experiment used 15 male Cross Boer goats aged 8–10 months, arranged in a randomized block design consisting of five treatments with three replications each: basal diet without CP supplementation (P0); basal diet with 0.25% CP (P1); 0.5% CP (P2); 0.75% CP (P3); and 1% CP (P4). The parameters measured were the digestibility coefficients of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), and crude fiber (CF). Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA in SPSS version 24, and significant differences (P<0.05) were further examined with Duncan’s multiple range test. The results showed that treatment P1 significantly (P<0.05) affected DM, OM, and CP digestibilities. All treatments had no significant effect (P>0.05) on CF digestibility. Conclusion of this study that supplementation of complete premix up to 0.25% of the total diet could improve nutrient digestibility in Cross Boer goats.

Abstract

Intensification refers to efforts aimed at increasing production output by improving work methods, enhancing the productivity of production factors, and employing various technologies in the field of animal husbandry. The Fajar II Farmer Group, the community service partner, is a ruminant livestock farming group. Based on a preliminary survey, it was found that there is still a lack of knowledge and skills related to various technologies in the field of animal husbandry, resulting in farming practices that are still conducted conventionally. As a solution, Team PkMU Unila implemented an intensification program aimed at enhancing farmers’ skills through socialization and training on complete feed formulation. This initiative aimed to improve farmers’ knowledge and competencies in meeting the nutritional needs of livestock and in disease prevention. The program was conducted through a combination of material dissemination, group discussions, and hands-on training sessions. The outcomes of the community service activities were as follows: 1) Socialization and training on complete feed formulation were attended by 20 livestock farmers; and 2) The training sessions involved formulating complete feed using ingredients such as corn husk residue, cassava leaf silage, palm kernel meal, wet tofu waste, pressed cassava pulp, molasses, and a mineral mix. The resulting ration had the following nutritional composition: crude protein 8.89%, fat 1.04%, crude fiber 21.76%, and ash 5.74%. Conclusion of this community service activity demonstrated that socialization and training significantly improved the knowledge of Fajar II Farmer Group members, contributing to the intensification of their skills in complete feed formulation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kombinasi dosis dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk urea yang paling optimal dalam mendorong peningkatan hasil biomassa rumput pakchong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Febuari- April 2025 bertempat di Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas lampung. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial (3x3), dengan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 27 petak pecobaan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: faktor I (dosis pupuk urea) terdiri atas 100 kg N/ha, 150 kg N/ha dan 200 kg N/ha. Faktor II (frekuensi pemberian pupuk urea) terdiri atas Umur 16 hari (1x), 16 hari dan 32 hari (2x) dan 16 hari, 32 hari dan 48 hari (3x). Variabel yang diamati yaitu bobot segar, bobot kering dan jumlah anakan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) dan uji lanjut BNT. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk urea dengan dosis pupuk dan frekuensi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot segar, bobot kering dan jumlah anakan.
