Abstract

This research intended to determine the effect of palm oil tree shade and mixed planting on grass and leguminous on productivity.  This research has been done on March—June 2018 in Tanjung Agung Area, Katibung District, Kalianda, South Lampung. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with split plot design method.  The treatment was implemented in this research is (1) shading, consist of two levels, which are N0 (without shade) and N1 (palm oil tree shade) and (2) mixed plant species, consist of two variations; which is A1 (elephant grass and purple bush bean) and A2 (dwarf elephant grass and purple bush bean).  The data which obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance on 5% significant level, then if the result significantly difference, it were analyzed with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT).  The results showed that palm oil shading has not significant effect on grass productivity. there is an interaction between the type of grass and oil palm shade on the number of elephant grass and odot grass tillers. The dry matter of grass on mixed planting on land without shade was significantly different with dry matter of grass on mixed planting in palm oil shade.  However, it has tendency to increase organic matter of grasss on palm oil shade. Keywords: Palm Oil Shade, Elephant Grass, Dwarf Elephant Grass, Mixing Grass, Productivity

Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of harvest age differences on productivity (fresh production, dry matter production, proportion of leaves and stems) and to know the age of harvest with optimal productivity of forage Indigofera zollingeriana.  This research was conducted in May until August 2017 in Purwodadi Village, Pringsewu District, Lampung and the dry matter proximate analysis was conducted at the Nutrition and Feeding Laboratory, Livestock Department, Lampung University.  It consisted of harvest age at 40 days (P40), 55 days (P55), 70 days (P70), and 85 days (P85).  The design used in this experiment is, Completely Randomized Design.  The variables in this research are, 1. fresh production; 2. dry matter production; 3. the proportion of leaves and stems of forages Indigofera zollingeriana.  The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance at 1% and then test using Polynomial orthogonal.  The results showed that the difference of harvest age had a very real effect (P<0,01) on productivity (fresh production, dry matter production, proportion of leaves and stems) forage Indigofera zollingeriana.  In the 40 to 85 days age range, the following equations are made, fresh production : ŷ(ton/ha) = 1,65 + 0,049x [40:85 days]; dry matter production : ŷ(ton/ha) = 0,038 + 0,005x [40:85 days]; the proportion of leaves : ŷ(%) = 80,69 – 0,19x [40:85 days]; and the proportion of stems : ŷ(%) = 19,31 + 0,19x [40:85 days]. Keywords:  harvest age, fresh production, dry matter production, proportion of leaves and stems, forage     Indigofera zollingeriana.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine: 1) the effect of cassava leaves silage addition in feed based on palm oil waste to digestibility of crude fiber and crude protein; 2) the effect of cassava leave silages and micro organic mineral addition in feed based on palm oil waste to digestibility of crude fiber and crude protein. The research was conducted in Mei—July 2016 in the Cattle and Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed Livestock, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD). Treatment used are R0 control diet, R1 addition of 10% cassava leaves silage, R2 addition of 10% of cassava leaves silage and micro organic mineral (Zn 40 ppm, Cu 10 ppm, Se 0,10 ppm, Cr 0,30 ppm).  Data were analyzed by Analysis of Varians and continued with Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) 0.05 and 0.01.  The result showed that the addition of 10% cassava leaves silage in feed based on palm oil waste no giving a significant result (P<0.05) to digestibility of crude fiber, where as significant effect on crude protein. The addition of 10% cassava leaves silage and micro organic mineral in feed based on palm oil waste also giving a significant result (P<0.05) to digestibility of crude fiber and crude protein. Keywords: Cassava Leaves Silage, Micro Organic Mineral, Palm Oil Waste, Digestibility

Abstract

The aims of the research was to identified effect of biological processing of the palm oil by product on nutrient parameters on ruminant. Fungi was used in this research was Sacharomyces cerevicae . After the processing, palm oil by product was added into basal rations. Latin square design was used . The research used four cattle as matterial trial . The treatments was arranged R0= basal rations (70 % consentrate+30% forage), Rz=85% basal rations+15% combinations of palm press fiber and palm oil sludge, R2= 70% basal rations+30% combinations of palm press fiber and palm oil sludge, R3=55 % basal rations+ 45% combinations of palm press fiber and palm oil sludge. The result showed that the treatments had no significant effect on rumen parameters and dry matters consumptions (P<0.05). Digestibility parameters had significant effect (P>0,05). Based on least significant different test, substitution palm oil by product on 30 to 45% could decreasing nutrient digestibility both dry matter, organic matter, protein, and crude fiber. Based on nutrient digestibility parameters, palm oil by product can be used up to 15%. Keywords : Palm oil by product, digestibility

Abstract

The aims of the research were to study utilization of cassava waste through biological processing on rumen parameters and nutrient digestibility. The treatments was based on first years research. The treatment was used latin squere design 4x4.. Young cattle was used as material of this research. The treatments were arranged: R0: basal rations + 30% cassava waste (no treatment); R1 basal rations + 30% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor urea 3 %); R2 : basal rations +30% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor ammonium sulfat 1 %); R3 : basal rations + 15% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor urea 3 %) + 15% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor ammonium sulfat 1 %). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi SBM terhadap kadar protein, lemak, dan laktosa pada susu kambing Sapera. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Agustus 2021 dan bertempat di Peternakan Bapak Setiono Heri Winarko, Kelurahan Yosodadi, Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kota Metro. Rancangan yang digunakan berupa 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga membutuhkan 12 satuan sampel. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 12 ekor kambing Sapera yang sedang laktasi yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan bobot badan. Pengujian sampel susu menggunakan lactoscan untuk menganalisis kadar protein, kadar lemak, dan kadar laktosa. Data hasil pengujian dilakukan analisis of variant dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Polinomial Ortogonal. Hasil analisis of variant menunjukan bahwa suplementasi SBM tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui suplementasi terbaik pemberian Soybean Meal terhadap konsumsi, efesiensi ransum, dan produksi susu kambing perah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Juli-Agustus 2021 yang berlokasi di Telaga Rizky Farm, Kelurahan Yosodadi, Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kota Metro, Provinsi Lampung. Analisis sampel ransum dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Jurusan Peternakan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAk) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu ransum basal (P0), ransum basal dengan suplementasi 5% Soybean Meal (P1), ransum basal dengan suplementasi 10% Soybean Meal (P2), dan ransum basal dengan suplementasi 15% Soybean Meal (P3). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dengan taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pemberian suplementasi Soybean Meal tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap efesiensi ransum dan produksi susu (P>0,05) tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum kambing perah (P<0,05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis ragi tempe terhadap kandungan nutrien tempe tongkol jagung (lemak kasar, protein kasar, dan serat kasar). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret – April 2022, di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Jurusan Peternakan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P0: tongkol jagung tanpa ragi tempe (kontrol), P1: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 1,5%, P2: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 2%, P3: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 2,5%, P4: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 3%, P5: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 3,5%, dan P6: tongkol jagung + ragi tempe 4%. Variabel yang akan diamati meliputi serat kasar, protein kasar dan lemak kasar. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambaham ragi tempe dengan level yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap serat kasar (P0: 12,37%, P1: 11.78%, P2 : 10,63%, P3: 16,39%, P4: 9,43%, P5: 12,78%, P6: 12,44%), namun berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada protein kasar (P0: 4,01%, P1: 5,46%, P2: 5,44%, P3: 7,31%, P4: 7,40%, P5: 7,10%, P6: 8,49%) dan lemak kasar (P0: 11,03%, P1: 2,01%, P2: 1,14%, P3: 3,35%, P4: 3,46%, P5: 5,40%, P6: 4,63%) dengan perlakuan terbaik pada dosis 4% untuk protein dan 2% untuk lemak.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkah laku ingestif dari kambing Saburai Indukan beranak dua dengan laktasi pertama dan kedua berdasarkan Tingkah Laku Makan Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2021 yang bertempat di Kelompok Tani Makmur II di Desa Gisting Atas, Kecamatan Gisting, Kabupaten Tanggamus, Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data secara pengamatan dan di analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata lama waktu makan kambing Saburai indukan laktasi pertama yaitu 395,71 menit/ hari atau 6,60 jam/hari, dan pada kambing Saburai indukan beranak dua yaitu 342,78 menit/hari atau 5,71 jam/hari. Rata -rata lama waktu istirahat pada kambing indukan laktasi pertama yaitu 1.057,73 menit/hari atau 17,63 jam/hari, dan pada kambing Saburai indukan laktasi kedua yaitu 1.054,40 menit/hari atau 17,57 jam/hari. Rata – rata lama waktu ruminasi pada kambing indukan laktasi pertama yaitu 419,77 menit/hari atau 7,00 jam/hari, dan pada kambing indukan laktasi kedua yaitu 467,39 menit/hari atau 7,79 jam/hari.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Azolla microphylla pada ransum komersil terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot tubuh, konversi ransum pada broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Agustus--September 2021, bertempat di Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Parameter yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu jumlah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot tubuh, dan konversi ransum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Ranca ngan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 5 ulangan, perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0: Ransum komersil 100% (kontrol); P1: Ransum komersil 97,5% + 2,5 % tepung Azolla microphylla dalam ransum, P2: Ransum komersil 95% + 5,0 % tepung Azolla microphylla dalam ransum, P3: Ransum komersial 92,5% + 7,5% tepung Azolla microphylla dalam ransum. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian suplementasi tepung Azolla microphylla tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot tubuh dan konversi ransum, dan persentase substitusi tepung Azolla microphylla dapat diberikan sampai tingkat 7,5%.
