Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan pembinaan warga binaan wanita yang dilaksanakan di Lapas Kelas II Sukamiskin Kota Bandung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan warga binaan wanita yang dilaksanakan di Lapas Kelas II Sukamiskin Kota Bandung berjalan dengan baik. Proses pembinaan dilaksanakan melalui pembinaan kepribadian dan pembinaan kemandirian. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengambil lokasi di Lapas Kelas II Sukamiskin Kota Bandung, Data diperoleh melalui metode pengamatan langsung (observasi), wawancara dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh informasi tentang Pelaksanaan pembinaan warga binaan wanita di Lapas Kelas II Sukamiskin. teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif, secara terinci sistematis dan terus menerus yang meliputi langkah-langkah reduksi data,penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan guna menjawab permasalahan penelitian.

Abstract

Remaja memiliki faktor risiko dalam pencehagan stunting, diantaranya masih banyak terjadi penikahan anak. Fenomena ini terjadi di Desa Banyuresmi. Namun demikian, di sisi lain remaja juga memiliki sumberdaya untuk terlibat dalam pencegahan stunting sebagai edukator sebaya. Atas pertimbangan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk melibatkan remaja dalam pencegahan stunting. Kelompok sasaran kegiatan ini meliputi 12 remaja, yang berasal dari 6 Rukun Warga. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meniputi: 1) Pengembangan kapasitas remaja sebagai edukator sebaya melalui kegiatan pelatihan. Dari proses diskusi dan pengamatan selama kegiatan ini berlangsung, pengetahuan remaja tentang pencegahan stunting dan keterampilan mengiidentifikasi masalah remaja bertambah. 2) Pengembangan media komunikasi yang dapat digunakan oleh remaja edukator sebaya untuk menjangkau remaja lainnya. Melalui kegiatan ini telah terbentuk whatsapp grup yang didalamnya terdapat remaja educator sebaya dan remaja lainnya. 3) Pelatihan pembuatan media informasi. Dalam kegiatan ini remaja berhasil merancang X banner sebagai media informasi yang ditempatkan di posyandu remaja. Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan rintisan. Pada kegiatan kedua dan ketiga, 12 remaja belum secara maksimal terlibat, karena terkendala kesibukan mereka untuk sekolah dan kuliah. Selanjutnya keterlibatan mereka dapat ditingkatkan melalui arahan dari Kader TPK dan Kader Posyandu

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic mass organizations as forms of Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) in responding to the environmental crisis in West Java, Indonesia, with a focus on the relationship between theological values and institutional practices. This study becomes important due to the increasing ecological crisis and the significant potential of Islamic organizations as social actors grounded in religious values. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving eight Islamic organizations in West Java. The researcher collects data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzes the data using thematic analysis techniques to identify key patterns in organizational practices. The findings show that Islamic organizations possess strong theological foundations in building ecological awareness, which derive from the concepts of khalifah, amanah, and mizan. However, these values do not automatically translate into systematic and sustainable practices. The study identifies significant variation across organizations in terms of institutional capacity, level of institutionalization, and patterns of environmental program implementation. Furthermore, the study reveals a gap between normative awareness and organizational practices, which is influenced by limitations in structure, resources, and institutional orientation. The implications indicate that strengthening the role of Islamic organizations in environmental issues requires not only value-based approaches but also the enhancement of institutional capacity. In terms of originality, this study contributes to the development of Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) scholarship by identifying institutional capacity as a key factor that bridges theological values and social action, and by proposing the Green Ummah Framework as a community-based integrative model.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in providing preventive and protective education for persons with disabilities who have experienced sexual violence, viewed through a social work perspective. The research conducts a qualitative literature review which analyzes academic articles and institutional reports along with relevant publications that cover disability and sexual violence and social protection matters. The findings show that sexual violence against persons with disabilities cannot be seen solely as an individual issue, but rather as a consequence of structural inequality, social stigma, limited access to services, and weak institutional responses. In this context, NGOs play an important educational role by promoting public awareness, legal advocacy, psychosocial support, preventive education, and collaboration with other institutions. From a social work perspective, non-governmental organizations function as both service providers and advocates for developing more inclusive protection systems that respond to human needs. Strengthening collaboration and institutional capacity is therefore essential to ensure sustainable and rights-based protection for persons with disabilities.

Abstract

This study examines social support for breast cancer patients at the Humanis Shelter in Bandung City with a focus on four forms of support according to Sarafino & Smith (2011): emotional, appreciation, instrumental and informational support. This study describes the role of the shelter in providing social support using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The purpose of this study was to describe the four forms of social support provided and their impact on patients. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with administrators and patients at the shelter, participatory observation and secondary data conducted from March to June 2025. The results of the study indicate that social support has been provided comprehensively, namely emotional support is provided through counseling and religious activities; appreciation support in the form of verbal appreciation and recreation; instrumental support includes logistical and administrative services, while information support is delivered through social media and counseling activities. These findings reinforce the importance of integrating social support into shelter services to improve the quality of life of patients. The weaknesses found lie in the suboptimal structured counseling and routine recreational activities. This study provides suggestions for further examining the effectiveness of each form of support and comparisons between shelters in providing social support.
