Abstract

Research with the addition of fermented mint leaves in drinking water aims to determine the effect of treatment on the percentage of carcass weight, liver and heart. This research was carried out for 2 months in the Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory and in the broiler cage at the Livestock Production Laboratory, Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic. This study started from DOC until the age of 35 days, as many as 100 broilers were the subjects, 5 treatments and 4 replications were given. The treatments were without the addition of fermented mint leaves (A), the addition of 0.3% fermented mint leaves in drinking water (B), the addition of 0.6% fermented mint leaves in drinking water (C), the addition of 0.9% fermented mint leaves in drinking water. drinking water (D) and the addition of 1.2% fermented mint leaves in drinking water (E). The basal ration consisted of corn, palm oil meal, soybean meal, fish meal, coconut oil and top mix. The variables measured were the percentage of carcass weight, liver, and heart. The research method used a completely randomized design. The results showed that the addition of fermented mint leaves in drinking water had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of carcass weight, liver and heart. The conclusion is that the addition of fermented mint leaves in drinking water up to a level of 1.2% can be tolerated by broilers until the age of 5 weeks.

Abstract

The use of AGP (Antibiotic Growth Promoter) in several countries has been widely banned in broiler cultivation, thus triggering experts to discover the use of medicinal plants as antibiotics and natural broiler growth promoters. One of the active substances that function as AGP is flavonoids. Bitter leaves are one of the medicinal plants containing saponins, tannins and flavonoids which have functions as antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic, antiplasmodial and anticarcinogenic. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of adding fermented Bitter leaf extract (Vernonia amygdalina) to drinking water on the physiological organs of broilers, and to determine the correct dose of adding fermented Bitter leaf extract to drinking water on physiological organs of broilers. The research results obtained were the addition of fermented extract of  Bitter leaves (Vernonia amygdalina) in drinking water had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of broiler heart, liver and spleen. The addition of fermented  Bitter leaf extract (Vernonia amygdalina) up to 15% in drinking water can be tolerated against the heart, liver and spleen in broiler drinking water. The addition of fermented Bitter leaf extract has a good effect on internal organs, namely the heart, liver and spleen.

Abstract

Penerapan aplikasi bisa dalam bentuk konseling dan demonstrasi di lapangan. Adat dalam Kelompok Perempuan Petani Saraso dan Pandan Saiyo, Nagari Batu Balang, Harau, Kabupaten, Lima Puluh Kota, Sumatera Barat, dalam pembiakan sapi hanya sampingan. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa mata pencaharian utama penduduk adalah bertani. Lahan pertanian yang dikerjakannya untuk memproduksi padi dan perkebunan coklat. Selain di bidang peternakan ada ternak, bebek dan burung puyuh. Bobot sapi yang rendah karena pakan konsentrat rendah karena harga pakan konsentrat yang mahal. penggunaan maksimal, bahkan sering terbuang percuma, sehingga mengurangi biaya pakan dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan sapi. Kemudian limbah pertanian akan diolah sehingga pupuk untuk tanaman pertanian atau perkebunan yang akan mengurangi biaya petani dalam hal pembelian pupuk kimia selain mahal juga terbatas. Implementasi Teknik yang telah dilakukan adalah dengan pembelajaran dan diskusi serta demonstrasi langsung pelaksanaan, pembuatan jerami fermentasi, fermentasi kulit kakao, fermentasi puyuh, penetasan telur itik dan proses pengomposan yang dilakukan bersama anggota kelompok. Kompos telah diterapkan pada tanaman jagung. Hasil fermentasi yang diperoleh berupa fermentasi fermentasi puyuh dan fermentasi dan kulit kakao fermentasi telah diaplikasikan untuk pakan ternak dalam kelompok, yang pertama kali diolah dalam bentuk permen lily biar tahan lama. Dan hasilnya adalah peningkatan Berat Badan Sapi rata-rata 700 gr / hari yang sebelumnya 320 gr / hari. Daya tetas rendah, karena listrik mati.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the percentage of liver, abdominal fat and heart of broilers by giving areca nut powder in the ration. The study was conducted on 200 DOC broiler reared up to 28 days old. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment given was the addition of areca nut powder in the broiler ration. The treatment given consisted of control, addition of 1.5%, 3% and 4.5% areca nut powder. Variables in this study include liver percentage, abdominal fat percentage and broiler heart percentage. The results of this study indicate that the administration of areca nut powder has a significant effect (p<0.05) on the percentage of broiler abdominal fat and does not show a significant effect (p>0.05) on the percentage of broiler liver and heart percentage. The results of this study found that the addition of areca nut powder at 1.5% showed the best results on the percentage of liver, abdominal fat percentage and broiler heart percentage compared to controls, levels of 3% and 4.5%. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of areca nut powder on broiler performance and performance index (IP). The study was conducted on 200 DOC broiler reared up to 28 days old. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment given was the addition of areca nut powder in the broiler ration. The treatment given consisted of control, addition of 1.5%, 3% and 4.5% areca nut powder. Variables in this study included feed consumption, body weight gain, final weight, feed conversion, and performance index (IP). The results of this study indicated that the administration of areca nut powder at a level of 1,5%, 3% and 4.5% did not show a significant difference (p> 0.05) to performance and performance index (IP) of broilers. The results of this study found that the administration of areca nut powder at a level of 1,5% showed better results than the control, 3% level and 4.5% level of areca nut powder. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi indeks putih telur, indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan rongga udara telur ayam ras dengan manfaatkan bahan alami berupa ekstrak daun akasia, daun sirih, dan daun jambu biji sebagai pengawet telur ayam ras.Penelitian dilakukan pada 200 butir telur ayam ras yang disimpan selama 30 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penggunaan ekstrak berbagai daun-daunan. Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri dari kontrol, ekstrak daun akasia, ekstrak daun sirih dan ekstrak daun jambu biji. Variabel dalam penelitian ini meliputi indeks putih telur. , indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan rongga udara telur ayam ras .Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengawetan telur ayam ras dengan perlakuan daun akasia, daun sirih, dan daun jambu biji memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan (P<0,05) terhadap indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan kedalaman rongga udara, namun tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan (P>0,05) terhadap indeks putih telur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini perlakuan terbaik ditemukan pada penggunaan ekstrak daun jambu biji. Kata kunci: Ekstrak Daun Akasia, Eksrak Daun Sirih, Ekstrak Daun Jambu Biji, Kualitas Telur, dan Telur Ayam Ras.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kewirausahaan untuk dapat meningkatkan minat, movitasi, kreativitas, dan juga inovasi bagi mahasiswa Jurusan Peternakan Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Pangkajne Kepulauan. Melalui pelatihan ini, mahasiswa akan diberikan pembekalan dalam menciptakan ide-ide segar yang kreatif dan inovatif dalam dunia wirausaha. Kemampuan berwirausaha yang didapat dari pelatihan ini akan bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pribadi serta memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat sekitar dengan membuka lapangan kerja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan dilakukan melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan, dengan metode ceramah dan sesi tanya jawab sebagai pendekatan utama. Melalui ceramah, peserta mahasiswa akan mendapatkan pengetahuan umum mengenai wirausaha, langkah-langkah memulai usaha, dan cara menemukan peluang dari usaha. Evaluasi dilaksanakan guna mengukur efektivitas pelatihan dalam meningkatkan minat dan semangat mahasiswa untuk terlibat dalam dunia wirausaha. Evaluasi ini juga digunakan untuk mengukur dari pencapaian dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Penilaian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang diisi oleh peserta mahasiswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat mahasiswa Jurusan Peternakan Politani Pangkep untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan wirausaha setelah mereka menerima materi dan motivasi terkait wirausaha.

Abstract

Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat mahasiswa Jurusan Peternakan Politani Pangkep untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan wirausaha setelah mereka menerima materi dan motivasi terkait wirausaha.
