Abstract

The work of stone breakers involves heavy and repetitive physical activity, which can increase the risk of injuries and health problems, one of which is work fatigue. Before work fatigue becomes more severe, it is essential to identify its causes. This study aims to analyze work fatigue and the factors that influence it. The study uses an observational analytic approach with a total of 50 respondents. The variables measured include age, length of work, years of service, workload, total sleep time, and work fatigue. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and specific workload observations. The results of the study indicate that 25 people (50%) experienced high work fatigue. Further analysis showed that age (p-value = 0.020) and gender (p-value = 0.001) significantly influenced work fatigue. The results also showed that there was no significant effect of length of work (p-value = 0.140), years of service (p-value = 0.27), workload (p-value = 0.258), and total sleep time (p-value = 0.401) on work fatigue. This study concludes that work fatigue among traditional stone breakers is influenced by age and gender. Interventions are needed to reduce work fatigue through adjustments to the work environment and rest periods. This study reinforces the understanding of Q.S. Al-Baqarah/2:286, which emphasizes that every individual has limitations. The fatigue experienced is proof that the human body has limits and needs adequate rest to function optimally.

Abstract

Rural development in Indonesia aims to address the development gap between urban and rural areas. Village development is expected to improve rural welfare and independence. Efforts to realize equitable development and welfare are carried out through various innovations such as the Village Fund Programm and Village Smart. This goal is pursued through programs such as the Village Fund, Smart Village, and Village Development Index (IDM). This counselling aims to increase the understanding of village officials regarding strategies to improve the status of villages to develop into developed and independent villages. The methods used are presentation, discussion, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of IDM. This counselling successfully provided participants with insights into data-driven development planning using IDM, although further exploration of several technical aspects is still needed.

Abstract

The 2024 village development program is titled Technical Guidance for Improving the Status of Disadvantaged Villages to Become Developing Villages in Matandahi Village, Tinanggea District, South Konawe Regency. This activity aims to increase the understanding of village officials about the Building Village Index (IDM). This activity involves village heads, village secretaries, hamlet heads, and chairmen of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), with a focus on increasing their capacity in managing village development. The counseling methods used included lectures and discussions, which were considered effective by 94.44% of participants. The results of the evaluation showed that the majority of participants, 100%, assessed that the village head was ready or very ready to implement the IDM concept. The program also successfully involved balanced participation between age groups and genders, with most participants having an undergraduate educational background. However, there are recommendations to expand the participation of the younger generation and improve the clarity of the material for participants with lower levels of education. In conclusion, this program has a positive impact on village readiness in implementing IDM, with great potential to encourage the acceleration of sustainable village development.

Abstract

Purpose: This activity aimed to enhance village chiefs' and officials' understanding of the Village Development Index (Indeks Desa Membangun/IDM). In the short term, it focused on improving the comprehension of IDM concepts and applications. In the long term, it seeks to elevate village statusfrom developing to advanced and ultimately self-sufficient, thus contributing to sustainable regional development. Methodology: The counseling session was conducted in collaboration with Universitas Halu Oleo and Universitas Nusa Cendana. The participants included village representatives from Southeast Sulawesi and East Nusa Tenggara. The approach involved lectures to introduce IDM, discussions to explore participant insights, and simulations of hands-on practices. A pre-test was used to assess baseline knowledge. Results: The session led to a significant increase in participants’ understanding of IDM, especially regarding its three main dimensions: social, economic, and environmental indicators. Village heads and officials expressed readiness to apply the IDM data to evaluate village status and inform development planning. Conclusions: Post-test outcomes confirmed that participants grasped the importance of accurate IDM data input and could access indicator results through the website of the Ministry of Village Development. However, practical training on completing IDM questionnaires, especially for low-scoring indicators, is lacking. Future sessions should prioritize technical workshops for better implementation. Limitations: This activity did not include detailed guidance on completing the IDM questionnaires, limiting the practical application of knowledge. Conclusion: This initiative supports informed village planning and fosters collaboration between village and sub-district leaders, ultimately promoting data-driven rural development strategies based on IDM indicators.
