Abstract

The agricultural, plantation, and forestry industries that are the main choice of the population to meet household food needs and boost the community's economy are very much in line with the geographical contours of the Regency Kutai Kartanegara. A geographic information system that can provide information on position, location coordinates, forest areas, forest information in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, and paths to find the location of forest areas. A web- based Geographic Information System (GIS) is required to determine the current position and location of the forest. The waterfall method is used to build this GIS framework, which involves stages such as analysis, design, code generation, testing, and maintenance. MySQL is a database management system. PHP, JavaScript, and HTML are used to create programming languages. Bootstrap user interface implementation. Black box testing is used to verify the software. The test results show that the GIS created meets the requirements and can resolve system issues.

Abstract

Research developing Edu-game ”Pesut Adventure – Borneo Animal Educational Game” is a research develop Match-Up type game. In this type game, player must find match 2 images of the Borneo animals in the same time, the player must remember the position of the image to be matched. The shuffling-random algorithm used to make images position always scrambled and player never get bored playing. AI technology (artificial intelligence) is also applied on this research. Using the Finite State Machine (FSM) model, the game agent was created in funny-animals form. It will mentoring the children to play this game like a teacher

Abstract

Recognition or identification is important to make it easier for us to recognize a type of plant or plant community. Each type has characteristics that have adapted to its habitat. Plants that exist in dry land areas including those around the University of Timor campus, it is necessary to identify or carry out scanning to identify names, characteristics and benefits and status in nature. Scanning is often done manually so that it is sometimes less effective and efficient familiar to the lay public. The aim of this research is to integrate scanning methods with optimizing ICT media such as using the “Sincatanesa” (Plant Scanning System) application with QR Code. The method used is a combination between observation methods and identifying specific tree growth forms and input into the “Sincatanesa” application which has been designed by researcher. Taxonomic data ranging from kingdom to species, habitus, benefits and IUCN status of each existing tree. Then make it QR Code attached to each tree. There were 18 types of trees identified and a QR Code was created for identification in the “Sincatanesa” application. The data stored is internet based so there will be a lot of data that can be stored, can be edited easily It's easy and just scan the barcode to identify the tree. Hopefully this application is known and used by all academic community at the University of Timor and the wider community. Furthermore, the “Sincatanesa” application can be developed based on smartphone so that it becomes more flexible and easier to use.

Abstract

The cultivation of cocoa plants in Berau Regency has been carried out traditionally with pre-conflict productivity of 700-800 kg/ha, but after the conflict and attacks PBK (Cocoa Fruit Borer) was reported to be only half. The yield quality is also low due to the pest attack and minimum post-harvest treatment. In addition, farmer institutions to be able to carry out activities in the garden together have not been well formed. According to Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level of Berau Regency, in 2009 the area of cocoa plants in Berau Regency covered an area of 8,644 ha with a production of 2,362 tons. The area is spread across eight districts. With so many chocolate plantations in Berau regency, it certainly makes buyers or visitors, both from related ninas and individuals, become overwhelmed to find the location of chocolate plantations. Therefore, an application is needed to facilitate the search for location and data about the location you want to visit. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or also known as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have recently experienced significant developments along with the advancement of geographic information technology. GIS is a computer-based information system that combines map elements (geographical) and information about the map (attribute data) designed to obtain, process, manipulate, analyze, demonstrate and display special data to complete planning, processing and research problems. With the web-based designed GIS application, it is able to solve problems related to the vast chocolate plantation in Berau.

Abstract

The digital divide and low health quality are challenges faced by the Setara South Sempaja community group. The impact of flooding is a health problem frequently experienced by this community group. The Technology and Health Education Program (Digihet) is designed to address this issue by providing education on the use of digital technology and clean and healthy living patterns to vulnerable groups affected by health problems. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Digihet program in improving digital literacy, specifically in clean and healthy living patterns, and the quality of life of the community. The Digihet program is developed using multimedia development techniques, starting from the concept design stage to distribution. The Digihet program teaches about 10 clean and healthy living skills for households, including childbirth assisted by healthcare professionals, exclusive breastfeeding for babies, weighing babies and toddlers, using clean water, washing hands with clean water and soap, using healthy latrines, eradicating mosquito larvae at home, eating fruits and vegetables every day, engaging in physical activity every day, and not smoking indoors. Data were collected through beta testing, and the research results showed that the Digihet program is effective in increasing digital literacy in forming clean and healthy living patterns. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing multimedia health education programs and contribute to enhancing the understanding of the relationship between digital literacy, public health, and information technology in the context of household health quality.
