Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the competence of the school principal in administrative services at MTs An-Nuur Palembang. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consist of 8 people, including the school principal, vice principal, teaching staff, administrative staff, students, and parents. The data collection techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is ensured through triangulation, which consists of source triangulation, time triangulation, and technique triangulation. Based on the results and discussion, it is evident that the competence of the school principal in administrative services at MTs An-Nuur Palembang has been well-executed, as seen from three main aspects. The first aspect is the analysis of the improvement of administrative services, where the principal plays a key role in managing administrative services by acting as both a leader and manager who directs and organizes all administrative activities. As a manager, the principal is responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes run efficiently and effectively. The evaluation of the principal's competence shows that an effective principal must be able to provide appropriate guidance and support to all staff, including administrative staff. The impact of improved administrative services indicates that enhancing the principal's competence includes gaining a deeper understanding of school administrative processes

Abstract

Supervision is carried out as an effort by people in authority in the world of education to supervise everything done by people related to the world of education, be it teachers, students, and so on. This paper aims to discuss the effectiveness of the implementation of supervision, with the method used is a literature review or literature study that contains theories relevant to the problems to be discussed, and the study describes the concepts and theories used based on the available literature, from books and articles that have been published in scientific journals. Supervision is carried out to find out what happens in an educational institution, such as if there is an inequality or problem in an educational institution, and the best way will be found to overcome the problem. This is an example of one of the importance of supervision. The effectiveness of the implementation of supervision will be carried out if it has gone through the planning stage, which, of course, has been mutually agreed upon by the people in charge in the world of education, so supervision is carried out in a directed and measurable manner by the agreed provisions to achieve the goals that have been expected together.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the dynamics of the Maulid Nabi tradition, reconstruction, and analysis of the phenomenology of the reconstruction of the Maulid Nabi tradition in Palembang Malay Society. This study uses a reformistic typology (renewal) with a phenomenologically reconstructive approach assisted by anthropology and history—data collection by in-depth interviews and observation. The results of the study show that there are five variants in the implementation of the Maulid Nabi tradition. First, the annual tradition of not reading the Mawlid book. Second, the annual tradition of reading the Maulid book. Third, Maulid Arbain and Isyrin. Fourth, Mawlid Twelve Nights of Mawlid. Fifth, as a weekly wirid. Even though it is done differently, the substance shows love for the Prophet Muhammad. Reconstruction was carried out in the five variants. The Maulid Nabi tradition is an established tradition carried out from generation to generation while maintaining character and characteristics in terms of objectives, intentions or motivations, values, theological foundations, the position of the Prophet as uswatun hasanah, recitation of blessings and mahal al-qiyām. Reconstruction of the Maulid Nabi tradition in the Palembang Malay community carries a theological meaning. The Palembang Malay community must be reintroduced to sunnatullah theology. Second, social, which includes aspects of togetherness. Third, psychology is evident at the time of expensive al-qiyām. The congregation must understand the meaning in aspects related to the Mawlid tradition rationally, not only in the physical meaning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to understand the implementation of the tahfidz program at MAN 2 Palembang and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors during the implementation of the Qur’an memorization program at MAN 2 Palembang. This research employs a qualitative research method, and the informants include the head of the madrasa, the head of the Darul Ulum tahfidz house, tahfidz supervisors, and students. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is tested using triangulation, which includes source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the research indicate that the tahfidz Qur’an program at MAN 2 Palembang is carried out through direction, motivation, communication, and coordination in each process, starting with determining the program's objectives, defining success indicators, setting the implementation schedule, and appointing program coordinators. The supporting factors include adequate facilities and infrastructure, quality human resources, the presence of rewards and punishments, and the program's timing. The inhibiting factors include the students' own attitudes and their surrounding environment

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the implementation of the independent curriculum (kurikulum merdeka) has an impact on character development at SMP Islam Al-Azhar Cairo Palembang. The research population consists of 140 seventh-grade students at SMP Islam Al-Azhar Cairo Palembang. The instruments used for data collection are questionnaires and documentation. Data collection took place from April 25 to May 29, 2024. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The research results indicate, first, that there is an impact of the independent curriculum implementation on the character development of students at SMP Islam Al-Azhar Cairo Palembang. This is evidenced by the data analysis results, showing that the calculated r value of 0.712 is greater than the product moment table r value, which is 0.312 at a 5% confidence interval and 0.403 at a 1% confidence interval for N = 40. Second, the implementation of the independent curriculum has a high impact on the character development of students at SMP Islam Al-Azhar Cairo Palembang, as the calculated r value of 0.712 falls within the range of 0.600 to 0.800, indicating a high/strong interpretation

Abstract

This research aims to understand the process of student discipline supervision at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Lampam. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a qualitative research type. The research method employed is descriptive, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data in this research is tested using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The analysis results indicate that the process of supervising student discipline at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Lampam involves monitoring, inspection, guidance and direction, disciplinary actions, and corrective measures. The research concludes that the supervision of student discipline at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Lampam is not yet optimal, particularly in the stages of guidance or direction and disciplinary actions. This is evidenced by the students' lack of awareness regarding the importance of discipline in school

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of information technology usage on improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 26 Palembang. The use of information technology is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching process, particularly in planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of educational programs. The research method employed is a quantitative approach, with data collection techniques including observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects of this research are teachers at SMP Negeri 26 Palembang. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression tests and prerequisite tests to ensure the validity and reliability of the collected data. The research findings indicate that the use of information technology has a positive effect on enhancing teacher performance at SMP Negeri 26 Palembang. The regression coefficient of 0.606 suggests that every increase in the use of information technology can improve teacher performance. The t-test results show a value of t_calculated = 7.386 and t_table = 1.676 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant effect. The determination test shows that information technology accounts for 52.2% of the improvement in teacher performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. In conclusion, optimizing the use of information technology has a positive impact on teacher performance, and it is recommended that schools continue to support training and development of technology skills for teachers in the future

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang Evaluasi Kinerja Humas Dalam Mepromosikan MTs Marfuah Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskripsi kualitatif untuk mengetahui kinerja humas dalam mempromosikan MTs Marfuah Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang digunakan untuk menghimpun data tentang keadaan kinerja humas dalam mempromosikan MTs Marfuah Palembang, kinerja humas dalam mempromosikan MTs Marfuah ini sudah dikategorikan cukup baik, hal tersebut sudah di gambarkan dengan kontribusi antara pihak humas, waka kurikulum dan juga masyarakat sekitar. Dengan adanyaa dukungan dari pihak pimpinna madrasah, adanya komunikasi yang baik antara pihak humas sehingga dapaat berbagi informasi mengenai berita-berita yang ada di madrasah. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja humas dalam mempromosikan MTs Marfuah Yakni faktor SDM, fasilitas dan teknologi yang tersedia, lingkungan kerja yang kondusif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah di SD Islam Cendikia Faiha Palembang serta faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambatnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Kepala Tata Usaha, dan Wali kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data dan menarik kesimpulan. Adapun triangulasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi dengan sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Islam Cendikia Faiha Palembang sudah demokratis. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari indikator kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah yaitu pendapatnya terfokus pada hasil musyawarah, tenggang rasa, memberikan kesempatan pengembangan karir, menerima kritik dan saran dari tenaga pendidik, menciptakan suasana kekeluargaan, mengetahui kekurangan dan kelebihan tenaga pendidik, komunikatif, dan tanggap terhadap situasi telah dilakukan meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan seperti kepala sekolah masih jarang turun ke lapangan untuk melakukan pembinaan, penyuluhan, dan pengamatan terhadap tenaga pendidik di sekolah. Adapun faktor pendukung kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah SD Islam Cendikia Faiha Palembang yaitu kerjasama serta hubungan yang terjalin secara baik antara kepala sekolah dengan tenaga pendidik. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu masih terdapat beberapa tenaga pendidik yang memiliki rasa kecemburuan sosial antara tenaga pendidik yang lainnya.
