Abstract

This study evaluates the treatment performance of Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) and Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) systems in treating domestic laundry wastewater in a tropical environment. Both reactors were operated for 90 days under optimized conditions, with MBBR achieving higher removal efficiencies for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) at 94.6% and 95.2%, respectively, compared to ABR’s 92.6% and 91.7%. Nutrient removal was more effective in MBBR, particularly for ammonia (89%) and phosphate (96%). ABR demonstrated potential for biogas production, generating 126 m³/month, suggesting its viability as a sustainable energy source. However, both systems required post-treatment disinfection to reduce pathogenic bacteria to acceptable limits. Economic analysis indicated MBBR’s lower operational costs, while ABR offered advantages in energy recovery. This comparative study informs sustainable domestic wastewater management strategies in Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia. Abstract

Gastritis merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang banyak ditemukan di masyarakat dan sering kali berkaitan dengan gaya hidup modern yang kurang sehat. Kondisi ini menjadi salah satu gangguan gastrointestinal yang paling umum dan berdampak signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup penderitanya. Berdasarkan data World Health Organization (WHO, 2020), prevalensi gastritis meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia, dengan populasi usia 25–34 tahun mencapai 0,1%. Gastritis dapat dibedakan menjadi dua jenis, yaitu Helicobacter pylori positif gastritis (HPPG) dan Helicobacter pylori negatif gastritis (HPNG), di mana HPNG terjadi tanpa adanya infeksi H. pylori namun tetap menunjukkan tanda-tanda peradangan pada mukosa lambung. Faktor penyebab HPNG meliputi penggunaan obat antiinflamasi nonsteroid (NSAIDs), stres, gangguan autoimun, konsumsi alkohol, infeksi, dan trauma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor risiko, mekanisme infeksi, serta dampak Helicobacter pylori terhadap kejadian gastritis kronis. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan tinjauan pustaka sistematis terhadap jurnal-jurnal ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan antara tahun 2018–2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa infeksi H. pylori menjadi penyebab utama gastritis kronis akibat kemampuannya beradaptasi dalam lingkungan asam lambung melalui produksi enzim urease, pembentukan biofilm, dan mekanisme imunomodulasi. Selain itu, faktor gaya hidup seperti konsumsi makanan pedas, alkohol, stres, dan penggunaan obat jangka panjang turut memperburuk kondisi mukosa lambung. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya edukasi kesehatan masyarakat tentang pola makan sehat, pengendalian stres, serta skrining dini terhadap infeksi H. pylori untuk mencegah komplikasi gastritis kronis yang dapat berkembang menjadi ulkus atau kanker lambung.

Abstract

The advancement of digital communication platforms has transformed the landscape of language learning, providing new opportunities for interactive and collaborative instruction. This study aims to describe the learning design that utilizes the Discord platform integrated with the Jigsaw strategy to enhance students’ listening skills in English language learning. The research was conducted within the Postgraduate Program in Learning Technology at the State University of Malang. The background of this study lies in the need to create engaging and student-centered learning environments that improve active participation and comprehension in listening activities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the combination of Discord and the Jigsaw strategy encourages effective communication, peer collaboration, and contextual learning experiences. Students actively participate in group discussions, share comprehension results, and practice listening in authentic digital environments. Moreover, the integration of Discord facilitates flexibility and interaction beyond the classroom, allowing continuous feedback and monitoring by instructors. The implementation of this design successfully enhances students’ listening comprehension, motivation, and digital literacy. Overall, the study demonstrates that integrating collaborative digital platforms such as Discord with cooperative learning strategies like Jigsaw can significantly improve language learning outcomes in higher education contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze by function business influence sales force employees advertising workers at the level of account executive of personal balanced scorecard pay-tvcompany. The research was conducted in Indonesia's pay-tv industry, PT MNC with its MNC Channels business unit. The sampling technique was done by accidental sampling. Analysis of data use the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with data processing using SMART PLS3. The result showed that there is a positive connection between effort and personal balanced scorecard. The relationship indicates that working hard, work smart, open to receive advice, and results clear can increase the personal balanced scorecard.The higher effort was the higher personal also balanced scorecard salespersons

Abstract

Listening skills are a fundamental component of language proficiency, particularly in higher education where critical listening plays a central role. However, these skills are often underemphasized in traditional teaching contexts, prompting educators to adopt innovative digital platforms. This study explores the implementation of Discord in a hybrid critical listening course conducted throughout a semester within the International Class Program at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang. Grounded in the Integrative Listening Model, the research employed a descriptive qualitative design, utilizing classroom observation checklists, field notes, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with 40 students. The findings indicate that at the comprehension level, the structured and timely distribution of materials through Discord channels enhanced student readiness and engagement. At the interpretation level, features such as video conferencing, breakout rooms, and audiovisual resources facilitated deeper understanding, allowing students to make inferences more effectively. At the evaluation level, real-time interaction and feedback during discussions supported critical analysis of content. Notably, student performance showed observable improvements in critical listening tasks, as reflected in increased participation rates and higher quality of responses in listening assessments. Despite occasional technical issues like unstable internet connections. The hybrid model which integrated synchronous and asynchronous learning, proved adaptable and effective. The study concludes that Discord, when aligned with a well-structured instructional design and supported by the Integrative Listening Model, can significantly promote critical listening competence in higher education. Future research may examine comparative effectiveness across different digital platforms and explore long-term impacts on listening proficiency development.

Abstract

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition affecting peripheral nerves, causing pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and wrist. This occurs when increased pressure develops within the wrist compartment that houses tendons and nerves. When pressure rises, it compresses the median nerve. This nerve innervates the thumb, index finger, middle finger, and half of the ring finger, so clinical manifestations appear in these areas. This condition can be acute or chronic, but chronic cases are more commonly found. Research Objective: To determine whether kinesiotaping and nerve glide exercise have an effect on the functional activity of the hand in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. Research Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and post-test one-group design. Observation was utilized to measure the functional activity scale of the wrist before and after the application of kinesiotaping and nerve glide exercise. The sample consisted of 12 respondents. The intervention was administered twice a week for 2 weeks. Results: Analysis using the paired T-test on the effects of kinesiotaping and nerve glide exercise yielded a value of p = 0.002 (p < 0.05). This indicates a significant change in the functional activity scale of the wrist in carpal tunnel syndrome patients before and after the intervention of kinesiotaping and nerve glide exercise. Abstract

Perilaku Narapidana yang berbeda dalam lembaga pemasyarakatan dapat membuat individu mengalami berbagai masalah psikologis seperti lebih emosional dengan keadaan yang dirasakan, merasa tidak damai ketika harus menjalani masa hukuman di dalam sel, dan merasa tidak mampu untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan yang baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara religiusitas dengan psychological well-being. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan teknik simple random sampling. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 205 narapidana laki-laki yang mana dari subjek tersebut sebanyak 131 narapidana yang digunakan sebagai sampel berdasarkan tabel Issac dan Michael. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20 for windows. Hasil analisis nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,566 atau 32,1% dengan nilai sigifikansi (p) = 0,000 < 0,01. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara religiusitas pada narapidana laki-laki lapas kelas IIB terhadap psychological well being.

Abstract

The production of rice bran waste pellets was carried out in Gadingsari Village, Kapanewon Sanden, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The problem that occurs is that the high price of fish pellets can make it difficult for fish farmers. It is necessary to make fish pellets independently from rice bran waste using raw materials including rice bran, fish meal, corn flour, tapioca flour, vitamins, yeast, molasses or molasses, EM4, and water. The aim is to reduce production costs for fish cultivation by utilizing unused raw materials, such as rice bran. The method used is direct socialization and training. The steps for making fish pellets start from weighing the ingredients, making adhesive, mixing the ingredients, fermenting the ingredients, molding the fish pellets, ovening the fish pellets, and packaging the fish pellets. The resulting fish pellets contain 40% protein.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan dunia game online saat ini sudah sangat pesat. Fenomena kecanduan bermain game online diperkirakan sangat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bermain game online terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang menggunakan teknik puppossive sampling kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 3 Plered Cirebon dengan jumlah sampel 32 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecanduan siswa terhadap bermain game online adalah kategori sedang, nilai prestasi belajar matematika siswa paling dominan dengan interval nilai 81-85 adalah kategori baik atau predikat B. Selain itu, mayoritas pemain adalah laki-laki, penggunaan bermain game online dalam seminggu adalah 3 sampai 4 kali, alasan bermain adalah menghilangkan stress dan jenis game online yang dominan dimainkan adalah mobile legends. Berdasarkan data empirik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bermain game online berpengaruh negatif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, namun tidak signifikan, pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Kata kunci: Kecanduan Bermain, Game Online, Prestasi Belajar. AbstractNowdays the proliferation of the online gaming was phenomenal. The phenomenon of addiction to playing online games is estimated to greatly affect student achievement. This study aims to determine how much influence playing game online has on student achievement. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methode with puppossive sampling inclusion criteria. This research was conducted at SMPN 3 Plered Cirebon with 32 respondents. The results showed that the level of student addiction in a middle category, the most dominant value of students' mathematical feat with intervals of 81-85 was a good category or predicate B. In addition, the majority of players were male, playing game online in a week is 3 to 4 times, caused by stress relief and the game is mobile legends in general. Based on empirical data used in this study shows that playing game online has a negative effect on students' mathematical feat, but not significantly, at a significance level of 5%. Keywords:  Addiction to Play, Game Online, Learning Achievement.

Abstract

Discusses the challenges faced by the education system in Indonesia as it adapts to the changes brought about by the development of technology and communication. The emergence of Industry 5.0 poses a significant challenge, forcing educational institutions to implement remote learning processes. Terms such as blended learning, hybrid learning, flip-classroom, and others have become ways to integrate online and offline teaching and learning activities. This integration presents new challenges in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement in designing learning that combines various media and strategies. According to Prof. Punaji (2020) in his book on learning design, learning design is a process that involves planning the needs and objectives of learning, developing teaching media, and systematically implementing an effective and efficient learning system to achieve predetermined learning goals. Various factors, such as materials and activities, student characteristics, curriculum, experimentation, teaching methods and media, and learning evaluation, need to be considered in the development of learning design. Combining learning design with technology is expected to make learning more effective and efficient, leading to optimal results.
