Abstract

One of the most influential media in conveying information is online media. Through this media, the wider community can get information quickly without being constrained by distance. An interesting area that is increasingly popular because of the role of online media is the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano Nglanggeran A.V) Tourism Area. However, reviewing information from photos and videos is certainly not enough. For tourists, spatial (location)-based information is fundamental. With this spatial-based information, potential visitors can find interesting points in this tourism area. It is necessary to introduce a tourism-based geographic information system (WebGIS) for this area. Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) of Nglanggeran Village, which young people dominate, was expected to be able to develop a tourism-based information system. Pokdarwis members had been introduced to WebGIS nglanggeran.gis.co.id, which was initiated before. Then, the Pokdarwis members were introduced and managed this WebGIS. The conclusion of these activities are 1). WebGIs are absolutely needed for the smart tourism village, 2). the need for easy-to-understand management of WebGIS, in managing this WebGIS, 3). the need for assistance periodically to keep updating important information in the Nglanggeran A.V area.

Abstract

In the traditional learning methods where teachers relied on teaching aids like books, some students still struggled to understand the material being taught. This was particularly evident in lessons about human body organs. To create a learning process that is effective, efficient, and aligned with the advancements of modern technology, traditional methods alone are no longer sufficient. A more interactive and engaging learning model is crucial to foster enjoyable and accessible learning experiences. To address this, an Android-Based Multimedia Application for learning about human body organs was developed. This application aims to facilitate the teaching and learning process, especially for middle school students. Through the app, students can access various learning materials such as the respiratory system, digestive system, musculoskeletal system, excretory system, and circulatory system, complemented by images and animations. Additionally, the app includes practice exercises that help students assess their understanding of the material. By leveraging technology, particularly Android and multimedia, the learning process becomes more enjoyable and engaging. The combination of animations, sound, and text enhances the overall learning experience. Students can now access educational materials anytime and anywhere using their Android devices.

Abstract

Abstract

The YOLOv8 accuracy curve highlights clear overfitting. As shown in the graph, the model reaches 100% training accuracy from the first epoch and remains flat, indicating it memorized the training data. However, validation accuracy lags behind, fluctuating between 90% and 92% without significant improvement. This discrepancy between training and validation performance suggests that YOLOv8 struggles to generalize to unseen data. The issue likely stems from its architecture, which is optimized for object detection tasks that prioritize object localization over feature extraction for classification. When repurposed for classification, YOLOv8 may not extract the nuanced visual patterns needed to differentiate similar classes, such as trucks and buses. Consequently, although YOLOv8 performs well on the training set, its classification accuracy in real-world scenarios is limited. Addressing this may require architectural adjustments, stronger regularization, or more diverse training data to enhance the model’s generalization for pure classification tasks.
