Abstract

Pengolahan hijauan makanan ternak dan bahan pakan lainnya menjadi pakan ternak komplit dapat menjadipeluang usaha agroindustri untuk memberikan nilai tambah dari hijauan makanan ternak. Pengolahan hijauanmakanan ternak diwilayah Kabupaten Subang dapat menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan pendapatanmasyarakat khususnya peternak. Oleh karena itu maka perlu dilakukan analisis finasial usaha terhadap produkagroindustri hijauan makanan ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis finansial usaha pakanternak komplit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Subang dari bulan Juli sampai dengan September2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan cara langsung membuat produkagroindustri pakan ternak komplit dan menghitung aspek finansial usahanya. Hasil perhitungan analisisfinansial diperoleh hasil Break Even Point sebesar 1200 kemasan / karung, Net Present Value bernilai positifatau lebih besar dari nol sebesar Rp 110.000.000,- Internal Rate of Return sebesar 45% lebih besar dari nilaiMARR dan suku bunga aktual, Payback Period selama 2.5 tahun tidak melebihi periode usaha yangdirencanakan. B/C Ratio 1.4 yang nilainya lebih besar dari 1. Sehingga dari sisi finansial usaha agroindustrihijauan makanan ternak menjadi pakan ternak komplit layak untuk dijalankan. Analisis sensitivitas yangdilakukan dengan pendekatan pengaruh inflasi sebesar 8.79% tidak berpengaruh terhadap usaha agroindustripakan ternak komplit.

Abstract

Red dragon fruit peels contain potential substances and are very useful including pectin 10.79%, 69.30% total fiber food, 0.25% fat and betacyanin pigment of 150.46 mg / 100 g). Low fat content and betacyanin which can be a natural coloring of low fat foods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding red dragon fruit peel paste to fat content and sensory. The main ingredients used in this study are chicken meat, mocaf flour, isolate protein, red dragon fruit peels paste, vegetable oil, egg whites, herbs and shells. This study uses a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment given is the addition of red dragon fruit peel paste 0%, 5% and 10%. Research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a significance level of 5%. Variables observed were fat content and sensory tests (color, taste, aroma, texture and suppleness) of 28 panelists. The results showed that the fat content of chicken sausage with adding red dragon fruit peel paste 0% (8.51%), 5% (8.21%) and 10% (7.39%). Provision of red dragon fruit peel paste 10% has a significant effect (P <0.05) on the reduction of chicken sausage fat content. Treatment 10% had a significant effect (P <0.05) on color, texture and suppleness, but no significant effect (P> 0.05) on taste and aroma. The results of the panelist's assessment of the chicken sausage 10% treatment ie the panelists liked the taste, color, aroma, suppleness and texture of the panelists quite like. Keywords: chicken sausage; fat level; organoleptic test; red dragon fruit peels.

Abstract

Carica (Carica pubescens L) merupakan buah khas kabupaten Wonosobo. Pengolahan carica menjadi selai buah secara umum menggunakan tambahan gula untuk memperpanjang umur simpan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan gula pasir yang berbeda terhadap kadar Total Padatan Terlarut (TPT), kadar air, aktivitas air (aw) dan nilai sensori serta menentukan konsentrasi gula pasir terbaik pada selai carica. Rancangan percobaan penelitian menggunakan RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) dengan 3 perlakuan konsentrasi gula pasir yaitu P1 (40%), P2 (50%) dan P3 (60%) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Parameter pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu kandungan TPT, kadar air, aktivitas air (aw) dan uji hedonik dengan 20 panelis agak terlatih. Pengamatan hedonik meliputi aroma, rasa, tekstur, warna dan daya oles. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik one way ANOVA, dan dilanjutkan uji DNMRT taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi gula pasir yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P0.05) terhadap karakteristik TPT, kadar air dan aktivitas air (aw) namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P0.05) terhadap sensori selai carica. Penambahan gula pasir terbaik pada selai carica adalah P2 (50%).

Abstract

Abstract (English) Background: The development of beef cattle in quantity has had a very real impact on increasing people's income in improving their welfare. The development of animal husbandry, especially in beef cattle, has been carried out for generations and shows quite good development, including in the k groups. Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify a canvas business model consisting of nine elements and map out how strategies are used for the improvement and development of beef cattle agribusiness in the sugarcane farming system. Methods: The methods used are qualitative and quantitative methods with sequential exploratory design. Data collection was carried out with in-depth interviews and observations to farmers and institutions in 15 livestock groups around RNI's sugarcane plantations. The results obtained where the business model is good when viewed from nine elements according to the concept of business model canvas. Results: This study found that the strength of the livestock group was in the high category. Very high opportunities in the customer segment and high threats in value propositions. Conslusion: Therefore, livestock groups are advised to carry out business development in a way; adding to the customer segment, namely restaurants, DKM mosques and large companies, increasing the value proposition by opening meat stalls and opening meat processing businesses, creating websites, conducting consignments with several sales points and collaborating with universities and looking for freelance web developers. Abstract

This study aims to design and test an automatic fish feeder (AFF) controlled by a microcontroller with an electricity supply from a solar cell. To build a reliable and accurate system, input data is collected for design, followed by system development, feasibility analysis, and performance testing. The test results show that AFF works according to the settings of the microcontroller, where the servo motor can open and close the feed channel periodically, three times a day. The feeding schedule is set at 07.00, 12.00, and 16.00. In addition, fundamental indicators including feed conversion ratio (FCR) and feed efficiency (FE) are showing positive results. Through the application of AFF which replaces manual feeding, the FCR is obtained at 1.15 from the initial value of 1.44. Meanwhile, FE increased from 69.4% to 86.8%. Technically, AFF is suitable for use by tilapia and carp farmers.

Abstract

The process of stripping the soybean epidermis on tempe producers still uses the traditional method, namely by trampling the soybeans in the container until peeled. This causes the soybean to be crushed or split into two because the pressure exerted is unstable and unhygienic, need more time and effort. The aim of the study was to design a soybean epidermis peeler machine. The stages of the research were assessment, design, and validation design. The results of the research are machine designs with dimensions of length 505 mm, width 391 mm and height 815 mm with conventional pulley drives with crank manual working system and friction with capacity of 20 Kg/hour. The application of the machine soybean husk remover makes less effort is used and separation process of the skin from the soybean can be done more quickly so that it can increase production capacity.

Abstract

Farmers in Subang Regency, West Java Province, are still focused on conventional farming and have not used group management. So that the level of welfare of farmers in Subang Regency is still not optimal. This study aims to look at the institutional management problems of smallholder livestock herds, increase the knowledge and skills of smallholder breeders in institutional procedures and livestock management and see the effect of increasing the quality of institutional management on the welfare of smallholder breeders. The method used in this research is FGD, counseling and coaching related to institutional and governance procedures, monitoring and evaluation by giving questionnaires to farmers through interviews and descriptive analysis. The results of this study, first, the problem of farmers is the low management of group institutions, especially regarding administration, feed and sales, breeders can understand and practice the procedures and institutional governance of beef cattle groups as an effort to increase additional income for the value of the cattle themselves, improve the quality of management groups have a significant effect on increasing group welfare. The conclusion of this study is that the problems that exist in smallholder farmer groups are the institutional problems of the livestock group that are not good including administrative management, storage and marketing. The training and assistance provided to farmers is able to understand and practice the procedures and governance of institutional management of beef cattle. Improving the quality of group institutional management has a positive and significant effect on improving the welfare of smallholder breeders.

Abstract

Kabuapten Subang merupakan salah satu sentra peternakan sapi potong di Jawa Barat bahkan di Indonesia. 1500 keluarga menggantungkan penghasilannya dari sapi potong dan usaha peternakan lainnya, dengan kepemilikan ternak 3,4 ekor per keluarga. namun peternak di kabupaten subang hanya terfokus kepada proses produksi ternak konvensional belum menyentuh kepada pemasaran dan pengolahan hasil. sehingga tingkat kesejahteraan peternak di Kabupaten Subang masih belum optimal. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan menambah pengetahuan peternak sapi potong melalui penyuluhan dan pembinaan mengenai tata cara dan tata kelola kelembagaan serta penjualan ternak sapi potong supaya memiliki nilai tambah. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Cibogo, Kabupaten Subang selama bulan Juli sampai November 2022 dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, focus group discussion, pelatihan dan pendampingan serta monev. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu masyarakat dapat memahami dan mempraktekan tata cara penjualan ternak dan tata kelola kelembagaan kelompok ternak sapi potong sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah dari ternak sapi potong itu sendiri. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu pelaksanan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat mampu membantu masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan melalui peningkatan tata cara penjualan ternak dan tata kelola kelembagaan kelompok ternak sapi potong serta mampu mengembangkan manajemen kelembagaan.

Abstract

Feed is a very important factor in the world of animal husbandry. Subang Regency is one of the beef cattle breeding centers in West Java and even in Indonesia and occupies the top 5 beef cattle populations in Indonesia. In Subang Regency, 1,500 families depend on beef cattle and other livestock businesses for their income, with an average of 3 to 4 livestock per family. but breeders in Subang Regency only focus on conventional livestock production processes and have not touched modern livestock. so that the level of welfare of farmers in Subang Regency is still not optimal. The biggest cost for livestock in Subang Regency is still the high price of concentrate and forage feed. This research aims to increase the knowledge of beef cattle breeders through counseling and coaching regarding the management of beef cattle in terms of improving the quality of feed so that it has added value. The research was carried out in Cibogo District, Subang Regency from July to November 2022 using the focus group discussion, training and monev methods. The results of this study are that the feed problem at the smallholder farmer level is the poor quality of the feed due to the lack of knowledge of breeders on how to process and store feed. Processing and storage are applied at the farmer level, namely storing forage fodder using the silage method and increasing knowledge of feed management. Breeders who are members of a group of beef cattle and are able to develop institutional management with standards for the production and management of feed in the group. There is a positive and significant influence between the provision of assistance in making feed on increasing the welfare of farmers.

Abstract

Kebutuhan dan permintaan konsumen dapat menjadi dasar dari inovasi sebuah produk atau jasa. Salah satu produk yang perlu terus dikembangkan di antaranya ialah produk olahan susu segar seperti permen susu karamel. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelanggan ialah Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Permen susu karamel menjadi salah satu produk unggulan hasil olahan susu segar peternak Ciwidey. Permintaan konsumen diidentifikasi melalui kuesioner yang berkaitan dengan penilaian produk, selanjutnya dibuat matriks tingkat kepuasan konsumen dan matriks House of Quality (HoQ) untuk mengetahui kepentingan teknik yang dibutuhkan dari produk. HoQ digunakan untuk menyusun rencana strategi dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen dan apa yang mampu diberikan oleh unit usaha. Hasil penelitian dengan pendekatan HoQ menunjukkan bahwa tiga atribut kebutuhan konsumen dengan bobot rasio perbaikan tinggi ialah ialah tekstur permen yang kenyal dan lembut (12,75); rasa susu segar yang kuat (11,50); nama merek produk yang mudah diingat (10,27). Sementara prioritas parameter teknik yang dapat menjadi referensi pelaku usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk ialah 1). Proses pemasakan (selama produksi); 2). Perhitungan HPP produk; 3). Proses pencampuran bahan baku dan bahan tambahan.
