Abstract

The digital age has revolutionized communication and information access, but it has also brought significant challenges to the fundamental right to privacy. In Indonesia, the legal framework struggles to keep pace with technological advancements, raising concerns about the erosion of privacy protections. This study examines the constitutional challenges and practical implications of digital privacy erosion in Indonesia. This study employs a mixed-methods approach. First, a comprehensive review of Indonesian constitutional law, privacy legislation, and relevant court decisions is conducted. Second, observational data is collected through a survey of Indonesian internet users (n = 500) to assess their privacy awareness, experiences with data breaches, and perceptions of legal protections. Data analysis involves both qualitative legal interpretation and quantitative statistical analysis. The study reveals a significant gap between constitutional guarantees of privacy and the reality of data collection and surveillance practices in Indonesia. Observational data highlights widespread concerns among Indonesian internet users about privacy violations, with a majority experiencing data breaches and feeling inadequately protected by existing laws. Legal analysis indicates that existing legislation is often vague, outdated, and fails to address the unique challenges posed by digital technologies. In conclusion, this study underscores the urgent need for comprehensive legal reforms in Indonesia to protect digital privacy. Constitutional challenges must be addressed through clear and enforceable legislation that aligns with international standards. Additionally, public awareness campaigns and educational initiatives are crucial to empower individuals to protect their personal information in the digital age.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing volume of waste in the Market Village, where the waste collection fleet cannot transport waste daily, especially in residential areas of Pasir Putih Village and Batang Bungo Village. The aim of this study is to develop a recommendation model using the MSN (Mentality, System, Networking) approach for the implementation of waste management policies in Bungo Regency, with a focus on Pasir Putih Village and Batang Bungo Village. This research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The findings indicate improvements in attitudes, behaviors, and responsibilities among policy stakeholders, categorized under the Mentality Approach. The organizational structure and functions related to implementing waste management policies across the Kelurahan in Rimbo Tengah and Market sub-districts were found to be relatively effective, falling under the System Approach. However, in terms of synergy, there is a need to enhance institutional collaboration, policy programs and budgeting, human resources, data management, and monitoring and evaluation strategies. For the symbiotic mutualism aspect, it is essential to base efforts on the principles of mutual need, mutual benefit, and mutual support. The Networking Approach analysis reveals that strategic partnerships in waste management are still not functioning effectively.

Abstract

The advent of the pandemic has prompted changes in the learning motivations of students. This investigation seeks to ascertain how students perceive the relative merits of online and offline modes of learning and their relationship with students' learning motivations. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive methodology. This research design is descriptive with an interview approach, with the objective of eliciting students' perspectives on online and offline learning and their relationship to student learning motivation. The analysis of this study revealed a consensus among the respondents that online learning affords a greater sense of relaxation. Nevertheless, online learning is perceived as a source of boredom and lack of engagement. In contrast, offline learning is associated with a high level of motivation, particularly when students can learn with friends. This negative reaction manifests in students telling stories or engaging in other distracting activities when the teacher presents the learning material. Furthermore, students are easily bored during learning, suggesting that the relaxing experience of online learning has an adverse effect on their attention span in the traditional classroom setting. In light of the students’ perceptions, it is hoped that teachers will be able to create engaging offline learning environments and encourage more student activities with their peers.
