Abstract

Abstract

Despite the increasing adoption of multimodal educational applications for young learners, empirical research that explicitly examines young learner’s user experience from the perspective of cognitive diversity remains limited. Many existing studies emphasize learning outcomes or technical usability, while insufficient attention is given to affective engagement, interaction behavior, and experiential quality during young learner’s interaction with multimodal systems. This gap highlights the need for a structured analysis of how multimodal interaction grounded in the Multiple Intelligences (MI) framework shapes young learner’s user experience. This study examines young learner’s user experience while interacting with an existing multimodal educational application that incorporates the MI framework as a foundation for its interaction structure. The research explores how visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements influence children’s engagement, affective responses, and interaction behaviors. A qualitative descriptive design was employed through systematic observation and semi-structured interviews involving five young learners aged 5–6 years (N = 5), along with accompanying educators. The study introduces an adapted user experience analysis framework tailored for young learner’s multimodal interaction contexts. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify interaction patterns and usability factors shaping the overall experience. The findings indicate that multimodal interaction enhances engagement, motivation, and accessibility, particularly for children with diverse intelligence profiles. Integrating Multiple Intelligences principles supports adaptive interaction pathways that improve satisfaction and sustained attention. This study contributes to the field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) by providing empirical evidence on how cognitive diversity can inform the evaluation and design of multimodal interfaces for young learners.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of elementary school teachers in developing project based Pancasila Education integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The activity was motivated by the limited use of technology and teachers’ low ability to implement the Project Based Learning model at SDN 101744, Desa Klambir. The implementation methods included socialization, training, AR-based learning implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. Teachers were trained to use the Assemblr Edu application to create AR media visualizing Pancasila values, particularly the theme of Indonesia’s cultural diversity. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ digital literacy, with an average score of 4.83 (excellent category). Moreover, students’ learning outcomes increased from 55.5 to 86.5 after the AR media implementation. The program produced several outputs, including the AR Keragaman mobile application and website, project-based learning modules, guidebooks, and a draft of intellectual property rights (IPR). This activity demonstrates that integrating AR technology in project-based learning enhances teaching effectiveness, creativity, and students’ national character, serving as an innovative model for Pancasila Education in elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interest and perceptions of teacher welfare among 52 respondents. Quantitative analysis revealed that 69.2% of respondents are highly interested in becoming teachers, while 30.8% are moderately interested. These findings reflect a strong commitment from the younger generation toward the teaching profession, despite significant concerns about financial welfare. Qualitative analysis identified two main themes: financial welfare and personal motivation. Many respondents felt that the salary they receive is not proportional to the responsibilities they bear, while intrinsic motivation, such as a desire to contribute to education, serves as a major driving factor in choosing this career. This study aligns with previous findings emphasizing the importance of financial welfare in job satisfaction for teachers but also offers new insights by highlighting personal motivation as a decisive factor. The conclusion of this research suggests that greater attention to teachers' financial welfare is necessary to attract high-quality individuals to the teaching profession and to create a better learning environment. Recommendations for policymakers include increasing compensation and support for teachers while considering their intrinsic motivations.

Abstract

The study is set back by curiosity about whether or not there is an impact of a student's learning method given by an educator in the development of student characteristics. The primary purpose of student characteristic research is to create an optimum learning environment for each student so that they can reach its maximum potential. To meet these demands we analyzed our curiosity by analyzing and observing some elementary school children and phasing information from various sources. From various sources and observations, it is regained that teachers must provide instruction and methods consistent with the needs of learners.
