Abstract

General Background: Youth engagement is essential in promoting inclusive and sustainable village development. Specific Background: Karang Taruna, as a youth organization, plays a pivotal role in mobilizing community initiatives, yet participation levels often remain low. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies examine youth involvement in development from the perspective of social empowerment and institutional support at the village level. Aims: This study analyzes the forms, challenges, and contributions of Karang Taruna in developing Kemiri Village, Sidoarjo Regency. Results: The findings reveal that youth participation is mostly limited to labor and material assistance, with minimal involvement in decision-making or innovation. However, initiatives such as catfish cultivation programs and community cleanliness efforts indicate emerging awareness among youth. Novelty: The study introduces a typology of youth participation (thought, skill, labor, and property) to assess community development engagement. Implications: Strengthening leadership training, community partnerships, and local government collaboration can enhance sustainable youth contribution to village progress. Highlights: Karang Taruna contributes to local empowerment. Youth involvement remains limited in decision-making. Leadership training fosters social participation.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how well the loan capital program is running in improving the community's economy through the Community Self-Reliance Agency using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews for primary data collection and documentation. The results showed that the revolving loan program at BKM Maju Makmur, Kajeksan Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency was running well according to the expected goals. The community is very enthusiastic about this revolving loan program because they no longer need to borrow money from installment banks. in its management, the BKM is very transparent and can convince the public that the program provided by the government can work according to its objectives, namely the utilization of the community's economy. The existence of a revolving loan program really helps the community in improving their economy such as providing venture capital. But from the results of the research, there were also a few problems where some people did not want to be responsible for repaying each month. Therefore, in order for the revolving loan at BKM Maju Makmur to continue to run, people who do not want to repay it pay more attention, such as being given sanctions in the form of fines so that it does not have an impact on the people who need the loan. Apart from that, this research can also contribute to carrying out loan revolving to empower the community's economy through the BKM capital program.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa berjalannya program permodalan pinjaman bergulir dalam meningkatkan perekonomian Masyarakat melalui Badan Keswadayaan Masyarakat menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui observasi, wawancara untuk pengumpulan data primer serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pinjaman bergulir yang ada di BKM Maju Makmur Desa Kajeksan Kecamatan Tulangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo sudah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan. Masyarakat sangat antusias adanya program pinjaman bergulir ini karena mereka tidak lagi membutuhkan pinjaman uang dari bank cicilan. dalam pengelolaannya pihak BKM sangat transparan dan bisa meyakinkan Masyarakat kalau program yang diberikan oleh pemerintah ini bisa berjalan sesuai tujuan yakni memberdayakan ekonomi Masyarakat. Adanya program pinjaman bergulir sangat membantu Masyarakat dalam meningkatkan peekonomiannya seperti memberikan modal usaha. Tetapi dari hasil penelitian juga ditemui sedikit permasalahan dari Sebagian Masyarakat tidak mau bertanggung jawab untuk mengangsur tiap bulannya. oleh karena itu, agar pinjaman bergulir di BKM Maju Makmur agar terus berjalan lebih diperhatikan Masyarakat yang tidak mau mengangsur seperti diberikan sanksi berupa denda agar tidak berdampak pada Masyarakat yang membutuhkan pinjaman tersebut. selain itu, penelitian ini juga dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam menjalankan pinjaman bergulir untuk memberdayakan ekonomi Masyarakat melalui program permodalan BKM.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Office of Sidoarjo Regency in supporting the development of crowdfunding-based UMKM. It also seeks to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by UMKM in utilizing crowdfunding as a source of funding, and evaluate the influence of local government regulations and policies on the use of crowdfunding by UMKM. The method employed is qualitative, utilizing descriptive data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings reveal that the Cooperative and Microbusiness Office of Sidoarjo Regency plays a stabilizing role by implementing regulations and strategies for empowering the local economy. As an innovator, the office introduces the concept of crowdfunding and provides training to UMKM to leverage it. Serving as a modernizer and executor, the Cooperative Office actively facilitates collaboration, regulates regulations, and proactively manages all stages of UMKM development programs, including planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Abstract

In everyday life, we often hear the word Innovation. Innovation appears in the organization was first introduced by Schumpeter in 1934. Innovation is very important in organizations to increase the productivity of agencies. Innovation itself is an idea that is applied, and has a scientific basis. Underlying this research is that in fact there are still several factors that cause performance to be not optimal. The purpose of this research is to prove the effect of innovation on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Education and Culture Office of Sidoarjo. This study uses quantitative methods and data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. Sampling used the total population of the State Civil Apparatus of the Education and Culture Office of Sidoarjo, namely 57 employees. The results of this study indicate that innovation has an influence on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Education and Culture Office of Sidoarjo. Abstract

Background: The rise of digital technology has revolutionized local governance by enhancing efficiency and transparency. Specific Background: In this context, the E-Buddy application facilitates the digital management of official correspondence, yet its effectiveness has not been thoroughly examined. Knowledge Gap: Current literature lacks a detailed analysis of the communication dynamics and bureaucratic structures affecting the success of such digital systems. Aims: This study investigates the implementation of the E-Buddy application, emphasizing communication, resource allocation, executor disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Results: Findings reveal that the application's effectiveness is undermined by limited feature utilization and insufficient adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), resulting in miscommunication and inefficiencies. Novelty: The research underscores the importance of effective communication and structured SOPs in optimizing digital systems in governance. Implications: The study recommends enhancing training and establishing clear SOPs to improve implementation outcomes and contribute to more effective governance. Highlights : Effective communication is crucial for successful implementation. Insufficient adherence to SOPs hampers operational efficiency. Abstract

Abstrak: Keberlanjutan Program Budidaya Lele Melalui Penguatan Administrasi dan Kelembagaan Desa Mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan program budidaya lele di Desa Jambangan sebagai strategi penguatan desa mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan administrasi melalui pencatatan keuangan, pelaporan kegiatan, dan koordinasi kelembagaan berperan penting dalam menjaga keberlanjutan program. Aspek ekonomi menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian finansial dan membuka peluang kerja baru bagi masyarakat. Aspek sosial menunjukkan peningkatan solidaritas dan rasa memiliki antarwarga. Aspek lingkungan mendorong munculnya kesadaran terhadap pengelolaan limbah budidaya. Kesimpulannya menunjukkan ketiga aspek menjadi penentu keberlanjutan program budidaya lele. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan keberlanjutan program melalui sinergi antara masyarakat, pemerintah desa, dan mitra pendamping yang mendukung tata kelola administratif transparan dan partisipatif. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan kapasitas administrasi digital, pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta penerapan inovasi ramah lingkungan sebagai strategi mewujudkan kemandirian desa berbasis ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: administrasi; budidaya; desa mandiri; keberlanjutan; ketahanan pangan; Abstract: Sustainability of the Catfish Farming Program through Strengthening Administration and Institutional Capacity in a Self-Reliant Village. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of the catfish farming program in Jambangan Village as a strategy to strengthen village self-reliance. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of activities. The results indicate that strengthening administrative management through financial recording, activity reporting, and institutional coordination plays an essential role in maintaining program sustainability. Economically, the program increased financial independence and the creation of new employment opportunities for the community. Socially, it enhanced solidarity and a stronger sense of belonging among residents. Environmentally, it fosters awareness of waste management practices in aquaculture. The study concludes that these three aspects economic, social, and environmental are key determinants of the program’s sustainability. The research implies that sustainability is achieved through synergy among the community, village government, and supporting partners who promote transparent and participatory administrative governance. The study recommends enhancing digital administrative capacity, providing continuous training, and implementing environmentally friendly innovations as strategic efforts to realize sustainable, food security–based village self-reliance. Abstract

This study aims to examine how the phenomenon of political hoaxes in the post-truth era occurs and what impact it has on the religious life and political direction of the Muslim community. This research departs from the phenomenon of political hoaxes that are getting stronger, especially when approaching election contestation. This condition is reinforced by the post-truth era where the truth is no longer urgent and trusted because the many hoaxes circulating make hoaxes like the truth. This research is a literature study explaining the phenomenon of political hoaxes in the post-truth era with an Islamic political sociology approach, data obtained from literature related to hoax politics, the post-truth era and analyzed in depth. The findings of this study are: First, the phenomenon of political hoaxes is carried out massively and repeatedly, especially before political events, Second, the reinforcing factors of political hoaxes in Muslim societies are caused by identity politics and low digital political literacy that are spread repeatedly. Third, political hoaxes can trigger inter-religious conflicts including intolerance and radicalism, disrupt religious life, and increase polarization and distrust of political institutions, as well as distrust of the media. Fourth, overcoming the impact of political hoaxes can be done by taking an Islamic political approach in society, namely by always telling the truth and bertabayyun against news and increasing digital literacy and the role of religious authorities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze SIDIRA Technological Innovations at the Library and Readiness Service of Sidoarjo Regency. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data obtained through observation, documentation, and interviews with the Head of Service Processing and Preservation of Library Materials, SIDIRA service officers and SIDIRA users. Data analysis techniques in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that SIDIRA's technological innovation in the Library and Archives Service of Kab. Sidoarjo the facilities and infrastructure used are adequate and provide many conveniences, especially for the user community. And the problem is that sometimes the SIDIRA application server down or error occurs, then the SIDIRA application must use an online network to borrow and return books, it must have a stable connection. And lastly, books in the SIDIRA application cannot be downloaded, only read on the spot.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study investigates economic empowerment in Kampung Pia, located in Kejapanan Village, through the lens of pastry sales, particularly the renowned pia cake. Employing purposive sampling, data collection methods include interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review. The Miles and Huberman data analysis approach, comprising data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, was utilized. The research reveals a concentrated workforce exclusively involved in pia cake production. This study contributes valuable insights into the localized economic impact of specialty pastry production, providing a basis for further research and potential development strategies for similar communities worldwide. Highlights: Localized Economic Impact: The study sheds light on the focused economic contributions of a specialized local industry, emphasizing the significance of micro-enterprises in community development. Purposive Sampling Method: Employing a purposive sampling technique, the research ensures targeted participant selection, providing depth and relevance to the qualitative analysis of economic empowerment. Global Relevance of Pastry Production: Insights from this study extend beyond Kejapanan Village, offering a basis for understanding and developing localized pastry industries worldwide, fostering global perspectives on community economic empowerment. Abstract

This study investigates the challenges faced by the local government in Banjarwungu city concerning its support for BUMDes, as evidenced by inadequate infrastructure, intermittent connectivity issues, and a lack of local understanding regarding BUMDES. The research aims to dissect and capture the progress of BUMDES, addressing the local issues in Banjarwungu, Tarik-Sidoarjo. Employing an exploratory and subjective methodology, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation from key informants including the BUMDES executive director and community members. The findings reveal successful BUMDES development aligning with goals and assumptions, with the local government effectively addressing community concerns. Consequently, the provision of essential infrastructure, such as Wifi ID, has alleviated signal-related challenges for the residents, showcasing a positive impact on rural development. Highlights: The study investigates challenges in government support for BUMDes in Banjarwungu, emphasizing inadequate infrastructure and local awareness. Employing exploratory methods, the research captures successful BUMDES progress, aligning with goals and assumptions. Results show effective government response, providing essential infrastructure like Wifi ID, positively impacting rural connectivity and development.
