Abstract

Red spinach production is currently still relatively low and unstable due to lack of nutrition on agricultural land conditions. This study aims to obtain the best combination of doses of Liquid Organic Fertilizer(LOF) based on organic waste and NPK fertilizer, so as to increase the growth of red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) Mira variety. The research method was used an experimental method with the singlefactor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 8 treatments, namely: A (NPK 250 kg/ha), B (LOF 200 ml/l), C (LOF 100 ml/l + NPK 200 kg/ha), D (LOF 200 ml/l + NPK 200 kg/ha), E (LOF 300 ml/l + NPK 200 kg/ha),  F (LOF 100 ml/l + NPK 150 kg/ha), G (LOF 200 ml/l + NPK 150 kg/ha), H (LOF 300 ml/l + NPK 150 kg/ha). Each treatment was repeated 4 times, resulting in 32 experimental units. Data analysis using the F test (α= 0.05) if significant, further tested with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the level of 0.05. The results showed that there was not significant effect on all growth parametersof red spinach plants, but treatment C with a combination dose of 100 ml/l organic waste liquid organic fertilizer and 200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer gave the highest results for plant height 28 dap (73.36 cm) and number of leaves 28 dap (26.70 strands). Keywords: LOF, NPK fertilizer, growth, result, red spinach

Abstract

The wijaya kusuma plant is included in the cactus type ornamental plant which has high economic value and it’s profitable. High demand makes the need for wijaya kusuma plants require fast and efficient method of propagation. Plants propagation by cuttings relatively fast and practical to produce plants that are ready for sale. One step to accelerate growth of roots and shoots is by adding synthetic ZPT and soak before planting. The aim of this study was to obtain concentration of synthetic ZPT that gave the best growth of wijaya kusuma (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) cuttings for each long soaking. This experiment was carried out in Sukamulya Viillage, Sukatani, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The experiment was carried out in August-November 2022. The research used was an experimental method using factorial 3x3 Randomized Block Design (RBD), The first factor is the long soaking, there are 3 levels, namely 11 (150 minutes), l2 (180 minutes), and l3 (210 minutes) The second factor has 3 levels, namely k1 (150 ppm), k2 (200 ppm), and k3 (250 ppm). There was an interaction effect between long soaking and synthetic ZPT concentration on root length and shoot length at 7 mst, 8 mst and 10 mst. Treatment of l2k1 (long soaking 180 minutes+ZPT concentration 150 ppm) resulted in an average shoot length longest at 10 mst of 20,500 cm Treatment l1k1 (long soaking 150 minutes+ZPT concentration 150 ppm) and resulted in the longest root average of 11.958 cm.Key words: soaking, concentration ZPT, wijaya kusuma.

Abstract

Oil palm is the largest vegetable oil-producing crop. With the increasing area of oil palm plantations, it is necessary efforts to improve the quality that affects production, one of which is the nursery. Topsoil as a commonly used planting medium is starting to be challenging to find, so an alternative planting medium is needed to replace topsoil. Charcoal husks can be used as a mixture of planting media. This study aims to obtain the best composition of rice husk charcoal and topsoil planting medium for the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) of the Yangambi DxP variety during the pre-nursery period. This research was conducted at UNSIKA's new land, Pasirjengkol Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency. The design used was a single-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications: M1 (100% topsoil), M2 (75% topsoil + 25% rice husk charcoal), M3 (50% topsoil + 50% rice husk charcoal) and M4 (75% top soil + 25% rice husk charcoal). Data were analyzed using F-test analysis at a 5% level. The results showed a significant effect of M3 treatment (50% top soil + 50% rice husk charcoal) on the number of leaves and M4 treatment (75% top soil + 25% rice husk charcoal) on root length. The M3 treatment (50% top soil + 50% husk charcoal) gave the best composition in the parameters of stem diameter, plant height, number of leaves, and leaf length, then the best root length parameters obtained by the M4 treatment (25% top soil + 75% charcoal husk). Keywords: growing medium, husk charcoal, nursery, Oil palm variety DxP Yangambi.

Abstract

The prediction of the development trend of mustard greens consumption in Indonesia in the next 10 years (2020 to 2029) has a tendency to increase. The use of compound NPK fertilizers and foliar fertilizers can be a good solution and alternative in increasing the production of mustard greens. This research was conducted at Baraya Garden Putra, Cisarua District, Sumedang Regency from June to July 2023. The method used was an experiment with a single factor randomized block design (RBD) with 11 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment consisted of compound NPK fertilizer (100 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha, and 300 kg/ha) combined with foliar fertilizer (1 g/l, 2 g/l, 3 g/l). The results of the study were analyzed using the F test at the 5% level to find out the best treatment, followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the application of compound NPK fertilizer combined with foliar fertilizer made a significant difference to the growth and yield of mustard greens. The K treatment with a combination of 300 kg/ha compound NPK fertilizer and 3 g/L foliar fertilizer obtained the highest results on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area per plant, leaf greenness level, fresh weight per plant, and crown wet weight.  Keywords : compound NPK fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, mustard greens

Abstract

The constraints to cauliflower production until now are increasingly limited land and the continuous use of chemical fertilizers which can reduce soil quality. This study aims to obtain a combination of NPK fertilizer and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) organic waste which has the best effect on the growth and yield of cauliflower PM 126 F1 cultivation. The research method used was the single factor randomized block design (RBD) experimental method. The factors tested were a combination of NPK fertilizer and POC organic waste with 8 treatments and 4 replications, namely A (800 kg/ha NPK), B (200 ml/L), C (640 kg/ha NPK + 100 ml/L), D (640 kg/ha NPK + 200 ml/L), E (640 kg/ha NPK + 300 ml/L), F (480 kg/ha NPK + 100 ml/L), G (480 kg/ha NPK + 200 ml/L), H (480 kg/ha NPK + 300 ml/L). The results of analysis of variance and DMRT at 5% level explained that the combination of NPK fertilizer and POC organic waste significantly affected crop heighand crop weight per plant. Treatment C gave the best results for crop height 7.60 cm; crop diameter 11.40 cm; and crop weight per plant 114.50 grams. Keywords: Cauli flower, NPK Fertilizer, Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Organic Waste

Abstract

Hydroponic system is a system of agricultural cultivation using water containing nutrients for plant growth, hydroponics can be done on a narrow land or in the yard. This study aims to obtain the type of planting media and the type of AB Mix dosage that gives the highest results on the growth and yield of Curly Mustard (Brassica juncea l.) Samhong King variety in the hydroponic wick system. This experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of Taiwan Technical Mission at Tanjungpura Ring Road, Karangpawitan, West Karawang District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, from February to April 2023.The research method used was experimental method using factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK). There are 2 factors consisting of 16 treatments. The first factor is the type of planting media consisting of 4 levels, namely M0 (Rockwool), M1 (Cocofiber), M2 (Sawdust) and M3 (Husk Charcoal). The second factor is the type of AB Mix dosage which consists of 4 levels, namely D0 (1000 ppm), D1 (1100 ppm), D2 (1200 ppm) and D3 (1300 ppm). Each experiment was repeated 3 times so that a total of 48 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the type of planting media and the type of AB Mix dosage on the number of leaves at the age of 28 hst on curly mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) Samhong King variety in the hydroponic wick system. At the level of planting media m1 cocofiber, the optimal type of fertilizer is a dose of AB Mix d3 1300 ppm with a fresh weight of 153.59 g. It gives the highest yield on planting media m1 cocofiber with a yield of 186.87 g. The highest yield is at the level of planting media m1 cocofiber.

Abstract

Continuous use of inorganic fertilizers results in problems with soil quality. One solution to reduce this problem is the use of a combination of inorganic fertilizer and liquid fertilizer from organic waste. This research aims to obtain a combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid fertilizer from organic waste that has the best effect on the growth of pagoda mustard plants. The research method used was the single-factor randomized group design (RAK) experimental method. The factors tested were a combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid fertilizer from organic waste with 8 treatments, namely A (300 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 0 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), B (0 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 200 ml/ l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), C (200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 100 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), D (200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 200 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), E ( 200 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 300 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), F (100 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 100 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), G (100 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 200 ml/ l liquid fertilizer from organic waste), H (100 kg/ha NPK fertilizer + 300 ml/l liquid fertilizer from organic waste). Consisting of 8 treatments and 5 replications. The results of the analysis of variance and DMRT level of 5% showed that the combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid fertilizer from organic waste had no significant effect on plant height or root length. Keywords: Pagoda mustard greens, NPK fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, organic waste

Abstract

Organic fertilizer made from medicinal plants and spices that have been fermented and mixed with favorable active microbes. The purpose of the study is to get a dose of biological organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer which gives the growth of sweet corn plants (Zea mays L. Saccharata Sturt) The highest commander variety. The study was conducted on the land owned by Biomethagreen (Educational House), Jl. Banjar Sari No.38, Awisurat Hamlet, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. The research method used is the experimental method, using a random design group (rack) a single factor consisting of 5 treatments and repeated 5 times, so there are 25 experimental units. The results showed that there was a concrete effect of the use of biological and inorganic organic fertilizer on plant height (1 and 3 MST), stem diameter (3, 5, 7, 9 MST), number of leaves (5 MST), anthesis silking intervals (ASI), and When a female flower appears in the growth of sweet corn plants (Zea mays L. Saccharata Sturt.) Panglima varieties. There is a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizer that produces the highest yield to the growth of sweet corn plants. The combination of treatment P1 (urea 250 kg/ha? NPK 300 kg/ha) affects the parameter of the stem diameter (1 and 5 MST), the number of leaves, interval silking anthesis (ASI), when male flowers appear, when appearing female flowers, combination of p4 effect on plant height parameters, and stem diameter (3, 7, 9 MST). Keywords : sweet corn, bio-organic fertilizers, inorganic fertilize, growth vegetative

Abstract

One of the important nutrients in the process of plant growth is nitrogen (N), the provision of sufficient and balanced nitrogen nutrients can also optimize plant growth during the vegetative phase. This experiment was conducted in the Greenhouse of Singaperbangsa University Karawang campus located at Jl. HS. Ronggo Waluyo, East Telukjambe District, Karawang Regency.  The experiment was conducted from September 2023 to December 2023. The experimental method used is the experimental method, using a single-factor Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates consisting of A (0.91 g/polybag), B (1.36 g/polybag), C (1.82 g/polybag), D (2.27 g/polybag). The effect of treatment was analyzed by variance analysis and if the F test at the 5% level was significant, then to find out the best treatment, it was continued with the Smallest Real Difference (BNT) further test at the 5% real level. The results achieved from this study were that there was no effect of N fertilizer application on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) D x P Yangambi variety in the main nursery. The treatment of N fertilizer dose in treatment B (1.36 g / polybag) gave the highest results in the parameters of plant height, number of leaflets per midrib, length of leaflets, and length of midrib but not significantly different from other treatments. Keywords: main nursery, fertilization, N fertilizer, oil palm, yangambi variety
