Abstract

Abstract

The consignment-based marketing system through middlemen (known locally as tengkulak) has long been practiced by farmers in Nagrak District, particularly in Pawenang Village. This system offers certain advantages, such as lower costs, operational simplicity, no need for technological skills, and delegation of distribution responsibilities to middlemen. However, the dominance of middlemen in the agricultural marketing chain leads to a high level of farmer dependency. Middlemen control nearly the entire market, leaving farmers with little to no bargaining power when they sell the middlemen take 10% of the final selling price. Limited market access also prevents farmers from tracking price fluctuations, thus making them vulnerable to price manipulation. Moreover, farmers are charged with the distribution costs. This situation negatively affects farmers’ welfare, with most living under economic hardship, even though agriculture is their primary source of income. This study aims to analyze the impact of the consignment marketing system through middlemen on the economic sustainability of farmers in Pawenang Village. The findings are expected to provide insights into how this system affects farmer independence and offer alternative marketing solutions to reduce dependence on middlemen, thereby improving the competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural enterprises.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and organizational commitment on employee performance at PT. Rismawan Pratama Shining Sukabumi. The design in this study uses a survey method with descriptive-quantitative approach and associative methods. To test the analysis of the research instruments used validity test, reliability test and classic assumption test, then to test statistical analysis and relationship analysis used Pearson product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, multiple linear regression and to test the hypothesis used the t test and F test. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be seen that simultaneously emotional intelligence and organizational commitment significantly influence employee performance. By comparing Fcount with Ftable (183.9719 > 3.10), it means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so the research hypothesis proposed in this study is proven that emotional intelligence and organizational commitment together (simultaneously) affect the performance of employees. The magnitude of the contribution of the influence of emotional intelligence and organizational commitment to employee performance by 80.5%, while the remaining 19.5% is influenced by variables not examined

Abstract

Background: Ensuring an adequate blood supply remains a persistent public health challenge, particularly in developing regions. In Bandung City, Indonesia, the daily demand for blood reaches approximately 500 units, while supply remains limited to 200–300 units due to low public awareness and insufficient donor participation. Addressing this gap requires not only awareness campaigns but also structured managerial approaches. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of applying strategic management principles to enhance participation and awareness in community-based blood donation programs. Methods: This study adopted a structured community service design integrating strategic management stages: planning, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. The intervention involved educational sessions delivered by management academics and PMI practitioners, covering donor motivation, health benefits, and strategic organization of social programs. The training was conducted over a four-hour session. Program effectiveness was assessed using a pre-test and post-test approach to measure changes in participants’ knowledge and awareness. Results: The program successfully collected 63 blood units, exceeding the initial target of 50 units. Quantitative findings indicate a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and awareness, with an average increase of 32% following the intervention. These results demonstrate that integrating strategic management into community service activities can substantially improve participation outcomes. Conclusion: The findings highlight the critical role of strategic management in enhancing the effectiveness of blood donation initiatives. This approach provides a scalable and replicable model for improving donor participation and ensuring sustainable blood supply in resource-constrained settings.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of green marketing practices is a strategic necessity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in facing the transition to a green economy as directed in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). This transformation requires MSMEs to adapt through environmentally friendly product innovation, resource efficiency, and compliance with sustainability standards increasingly expected by modern consumers. However, conditions in Bekasi Regency show that most MSMEs based on industrial waste upcycling do not yet have a structured green marketing strategy and are unable to integrate sustainability principles into their business models. This challenge is exacerbated by low business understanding of green consumer behavior, minimal use of social media as a means of sustainability communication, and the lack of strategic guidelines tailored to local characteristics. This study aims to develop and validate a Green Marketing Strategy Model capable of optimizing the business sustainability of MSMEs in economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The research employed a qualitative approach using the Delphi Method involving academics, green MSME practitioners, local government, and environmental organizations. The Delphi process was conducted through several rounds to reach consensus regarding green marketing indicators and sustainability strategy priorities. The results produced a strategic model consisting of green marketing components, triple bottom line-based sustainability indicators, and digital marketing communication strategies relevant to local consumer characteristics. The study also provides practical recommendations for strengthening sustainable MSME development in Bekasi Regency and contributes theoretically to sustainability marketing practices in industrial waste upcycling businesses.

Abstract

The rapid environmental degradation currently compels governments and organizations to implement effective preventive measures. This study highlights the urgent need for the implementation of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices and Personal Moral Norms in enhancing Employee Green Behavior within the banking sector. As governments adopt policies related to GHRM, Personal Moral Norms, and Employee Green Behavior, banks, as financial institutions, play a strategic role in promoting sustainability. The objective of this research is to analyze the effects of GHRM and Personal Moral Norms on Employee Green Behavior in the banking sector. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a descriptive and associative research design, involving 92 employees from the studied bank branch, with a sampling technique using a census method. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple regression analysis with the aid of SPSS 24. The results indicate that GHRM and Personal Moral Norms significantly influence Employee Green Behavior, contributing to 97.8% of the variance in environmentally friendly behavior. These findings provide new insights into the importance of integrating Green values into human resource management and underscore the necessity for banks to adopt policies that support environmental sustainability. This research is expected to serve as a reference for banking institutions in formulating more effective strategies to enhance environmental awareness among employees.
