Abstract

Public service is a crucial indicator for assessing local government performance and community satisfaction. This study aims to analyze strategies for improving public services at the Baruga Subdistrict Office, Kendari City, focusing on service quality from the perspective of the community and the influencing factors. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Informants include the Head of the Subdistrict, service staff, and community service users, selected using purposive sampling until data saturation was reached. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the quality of public services at the Baruga Subdistrict Office is generally good, particularly in the dimensions of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, competence, credibility, and security. However, several aspects require improvement, including facility comfort, staff proficiency in using supporting tools, and friendliness in service interactions. Recommended strategies for service improvement include employee training, facility enhancement, strengthening standard operating procedures, and fostering empathetic and professional attitudes. These findings emphasize the importance of employee competence, facility quality, and interactions with the community as key factors in enhancing public satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstract

In making decisions for exemplary employees, PT Jiangmen Electronics Indonesia uses several methods, namely taking an assessment of the attendance every three months, and individual assignments given by the supervisor. The data obtained after that must be reprocessed into an assessment to produce exemplary employee decisions. Data is collected for collection from the types of criteria such as assessment of attendance, work results, work efficiency, working time, work behavior, from the results of the combined assessment, will be processed manually with a data processing application from Microsoft Excel. The appropriate data will be given directly to the head of the section for selection of exemplary employees. The existence of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method can determine with many criteria in making an exemplary employee appraisal decision and the time required for data processing will also be faster and more efficient. The purpose of this study is to assist companies in the process of selecting exemplary employees. For the largest value on the absenteeism criteria is alternative A1 or employees on behalf of Bambang, for the largest value on the work results criteria is alternative A18, the selected employee is Andy, while for the criteria for work efficiency the largest value on alternative A19 or the selected employee is Riky, for the greatest value with the criteria of working time on alternative A5 the selected employee is Irfan and for the largest value of the criteria for work behavior on alternative A2 the selected employee is Imron.

Abstract

This article analyzes judicial reasoning in determining nafkah iddah, mut’ah, and retroactive spousal support in divorce cases adjudicated by Indonesian Religious Courts. Using a normative juridical approach with a case-based analysis, the study examines the Jambi Religious Court Decision Number 1015/Pdt.G/2025/PA.Jmb to explore how judges operationalize Article 149 of the Compilation of Islamic Law within concrete adjudicative settings. The findings demonstrate that the provision functions as an open norm that requires judicial concretization through evidentiary assessment, evaluation of the husband’s economic capacity, and contextual interpretation of marital relations. Judicial reasoning in this case is characterized by the use of practical and relational reasoning, whereby normative mandates are integrated with socio-economic realities to balance women’s post-divorce economic rights and proportionality for the husband. The analysis further reveals that judicial discretion is exercised in a structured and accountable manner, supported by transparent argumentative links between legal norms, factual findings, and the operative part of the decision. This approach enables the court to avoid both mechanical application of legal norms and arbitrary decision-making. The study contributes to Islamic family law scholarship by demonstrating how judicial reasoning functions as a mediating mechanism between normative certainty and substantive justice. It also underscores the importance of coherent and reasoned judgments in strengthening the protection of women’s economic rights after divorce within Indonesia’s contemporary adjudicative framework, while offering insights for the development of more consistent judicial practices in religious courts.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged the adoption of mobile banking applications in Indonesia, but it has also led to an increase in user complaints and reviews regarding performance and ease of use. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the performance of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Transformer (IndoBERT) models in classifying the sentiment of user reviews of Indonesian-language mobile banking applications. Data was collected through web scraping from the Google Play Store on ten leading banking applications in Indonesia with a total of 200,000 reviews. After going through the preprocessing stages of cleaning, normalisation, tokenisation, and stemming, automatic labelling was carried out based on ratings into three sentiment classes: positive, neutral, and negative. Machine learning models (Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and SVM) were built using TF-IDF feature representation, while deep learning models (LSTM, Bi-LSTM, GRU, and CNN) utilised 128-dimensional word embeddings. The Transformer-based IndoBERT model was fine-tuned with a sequence classification configuration. The evaluation used accuracy, precision, recall, and weighted F1-score metrics, accompanied by an analysis of training and testing time efficiency. The results show that the Bi-LSTM model performs best with an accuracy of 83.47% and an F1-score of 80.78%, followed by CNN (83.11%) and SVM (82.85%), while IndoBERT records an accuracy of 81.73% with a precision of 76.96%. In terms of efficiency, Logistic Regression showed an optimal balance between accuracy and training time (27.7 seconds), while deep learning and transformer models required higher computational resources. This study emphasises the importance of model selection based on requirements, between maximum accuracy and computational efficiency, and enriches the literature on Indonesian sentiment analysis in the domain of digital financial services.
