Abstract

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HEG) is a condition of persistent vomiting in pregnancy that causes various disturbances in the body's balance such as dehydration, electrolyte disturbances, metabolic and nutritional deficiencies and can even cause death. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and the incidence of hyperemesis gravidarum at Fina Sembiring Midwife Practice Sari Rejo Clinic, Medan Polonia District, Medan City. This research is an analytical quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all pregnant women who made pregnancy visits at the Fina Sembiring Clinic in 2022, totaling 45 pregnant women. The sampling technique is total sampling. Data collection was analyzed by chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of hyperemesis gravidarum at the Fina Sembiring Clinic with a p value <0.05 (0.002).

Abstract

The quality of health services is degree of perfection of health services in accordance with professional standards by using the potential resources available at the public health center. Various efforts have been made by health workers at the Lalang Health Center, Medang Deras District, Batu Bara Regency, such as training for delivery assistance according to Standard Operational Procedures in improving the quality of Maternal and Child Health Services, but there are patient complaints about the quality of Maternal and Child Health Services at the Lalang Health Center, Batu Bara Regency. The purpose of this study was determine the effect of the quality Maternal and Child Health Services on maternal satisfaction in normal delivery at the Lalang Health Center, Medang Deras District, Batu Bara Regency. This research is an analytic study using a cross sectional design, sample of 59 people by simple random sampling. The analysis was carried out in univariate and bivariate with chi square test p-value <0.05. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between quality Maternal and Child Health Services (reability) on maternal satisfaction in normal delivery at the Lalang Health Center, Medang Deras District, Batu Bara Regency, with a p value <0.05 (0.034).

Abstract

Immunization is an effort to provide immunity to infants and children by injecting vaccines into the body so that the body makes a substance to prevent certain diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between the mother's level of knowledge and the provision of DPT immunization at the Labuhan Deli Health Center, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research is an analytical quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months, namely 42 respondents at the Labuhan Deli Health Center, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2023. The sampling technique was total sampling. Data collection was analyzed by chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the mother's knowledge level and the administration of DPT immunization at the Labuhan Deli Health Center, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency, with a p value <0.05 (0.009).

Abstract

Background The exact incidence of infertility is not yet known with certainty, it varies greatly depending on geographical conditions, culture and social status of the country. Women who marry at an old age or mature and work actively will greatly affect a woman's fertility. It is estimated that around 2 million new infertile couples appear every year and this number continues to increase. It is estimated that a healthy couple will get fertilized within 1 year (Nuparma, 2017). Infertility data in the world according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and other reports estimates that 8-12% of couples experience infertility problems during their reproductive years. If eight percent of the global population figure is around 60-80 million couples who have not had children. Objective To analyze the factors that influence the occurrence of primary infertility in couples of childbearing age at the Pegajahan Community Health Center, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai District in 2023. Method chi square test p value < 0.05 means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, the statistical test results show a significant relationship. Results: There is a significant relationship between age, menstrual cycle and no history of PMS and employment with the incidence of infertility and is a risk factor that has a significant influence on the incidence of infertility. Suggestions are given for research and for research sites and for educational institutions regarding exclusive breastfeeding and the implementation of IMD for newborn babies

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency is a condition of pregnant women who suffer from a long-term (chronic) lack of food with the emergence of various health problems in pregnant women. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the incidence of chronic energy deficiency at the Labuhan Deli Community Health Center, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency, Deli Serdang Regency. Quantitative design using cross sectional. The population in this study was pregnant women, totaling 42 respondents. Data analysis uses univariate, bivariate analysis. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the incidence of chronic energy deficiency at the Labuhan Deli Community Health Center, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency, Deli Serdang Regency in 2023. Suggestions are given for research and for research sites and for institutions Education about CED for pregnant women.

Abstract

Indonesia's exclusive breastfeeding coverage is still far from the national target of 80%. The results of the 2013 Indonesian Health Demographic Survey (SDKI) showed that coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0-6 months was only 42%. This research used a praexperiment (an experimental activity that aims to determine the effect that arises as a result of certain treatment) using a one group pretest-posttest design, to see the effect of oxytocin massage on the smooth flow of breast milk at the Roslena Clinic Medan Johor. The conclusion is that there is an effect of Oxytocin Massage on the smooth flow of breast milk at the Roslena Clinic Medan Johor. It is hoped that Roslena Clinic Medan Johor will increase the implementation of oxytocin massage to prevent babies from not sleeping peacefully for 3-4 hours due to irregular milk production in breastfeeding mothers

Abstract

One of the efforts made to reduce MMR is the Antenatal Care (ANC) examination program which is mandatory for pregnant women. The Indonesian Ministry of Health stipulates that examinations for pregnant women or antenatal care be carried out at least 6 times over 9 months. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and breastfeeding in the Independent Practice work area of ​​Midwife Siti Saleha, Bantaian Village, Riau. This research uses an analytical observational design using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional research design approach. The number of samples in this study was 28 respondents. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and breastfeeding. It is recommended that mothers do not blindly accept advertisements about formula milk in electronic media and the internet, mothers should ask health workers to find out more about the benefits and contents of breast milk which are no less than those contained in formula milk.

Abstract

The use of contraception is an action that helps individuals or married couples to achieve certain objectives, avoid unwanted births, get births that are truly desired, regulate the interval between pregnancies and control the time of birth in the husband and wife relationship. The aim of this research is to determine the socio-economic relationship with the use of long-term contraceptives (MKJP) at the Labuhan Deli Community Health Center. All acceptors who visited in May-June at the Labuhan Deli Community Health Center were 39 respondents. Data analysis using univariate, bivariate analysis. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge about immunization and providing complete basic immunization to babies at the Penanggalan Community Health Center, Penanggalan District, Subulussalam City in 2023. It is hoped that there will be more questions from health workers or more use of existing facilities as input. to receive information about health, especially the use of MKJP

Abstract

Hyperemesis Gravidarum in pregnant women in the VII hamlet of Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency will still experience a significant increase in 2023. Therefore, it is necessary to provide Information and Education Communication (IEC) to pregnant women about Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This activity was carried out with the aim of providing education through leaflets to pregnant women in all trimesters about Hyperemesis Gravidarum. And motivate pregnant women to continue to apply the prevention and treatment of Hyperemesis Gravidarum during pregnancy. The method used uses two stages, namely the implementation and evaluation stages. The results of the process evaluation related to the management of hyperemesis Gravidarum in pregnant women are in accordance with the existing standard operating procedures and recommendations from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The health education provided was in accordance with SOPs, but several health workers had not emphasized IEC regarding the prohibition of taking anti-nausea drugs at random without a doctor's prescription. Educational media innovations have not varied and have not described in detail the handling of hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy, especially how to consume the correct portion of food while experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum. The results of the output evaluation related to the management of hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women are appropriate. There is an increase in the knowledge and skills of post-training health workers. Post-counseling evaluation is carried out depending on free time and the number of patients visiting.
