Abstract

Dewasa ini kemajuan teknologi sangat luar biasa termasuk dalam bidang transportasi,baik kendaraan roda dua, roda empat bahkan roda tiga berkembang kearah yang lebih baik.Di indonesia dengan wilayah yang sangat luas dan memiliki kontur yang berbeda-beda tentunya membutuhkan sebuah kendaraan yang baik dalam bermanuver serta irit dalam penggunaannya, para produsen dan ilmuan pun berlomba-lomba membuat kendaraan yang canggih, safety dan tentunya irit.Karena pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin pesat jumlah mobil yang ada juga semakin banyak setiap harinya yang membuat semakin sempit jalan yang ada.Dengan bentuknya yang minimalis namun kompak diharapkan mobil roda 3 (three wheel car) ini menjadi salah satu yang diharapkan, dimana dengan body yang kecil diharapkan memiliki harga terjangkau,irit bahan bakar dan tentunya mudah dalam bermanuver.Dari permasalahan diatas diperlukan sebuah design mobil yang minimalis , kuat dan aman untuk digunakan,dalam penelitian kali ini diperlukan nilai sudut belok roda depan yang dapat di hitung dengan rumus ackerman serta untuk mengetahui apakah kontruksi lengan depan mobil aman,digunakan software catia untuk mengetahuinya.Dari hasil perhitungan dan perbandingan data dari mobil minimalis roda tiga dengan mobil suzuki karimun estilo yang memiliki spesifikasi hampir sama, sudut steer yang dihasilkan pada kemiringan roda 6 ͦ dengan Radius Ackerman 16,25 m , 17,5 m dan 22,5 m mobil minimalis roda tiga memiliki sudut steer yang tidak jauh beda yakni 6,59 ͦ, 6,25 ͦ dan 6,10 ͦberbanding dengan sudut steer mobil karimun estilo sebesar 8,32 ͦ ,7,72 ͦ dan 6.01 ͦ bisa dikatakan mobil minimalis roda tiga masih nyaman digunakan untuk berkendara karena memiliki nilai yang hampir sama dengan mobil yang telah diproduksi masal.

Abstract

One of the problems of PT. YRS (Confident of Achieving Success) is the damage of red ginger seedlings due to a long period of time during the expedition so that the seeds of ginger decay. One of the decay factors is the high water content. To minimize damage to ginger seeds, red ginger seeds must be aerated (dried) for 1 week in 200 kg. The process is considered less efficient because it still uses manual methods. Therefore, an integrated machine is needed. This red ginger seed drying machine uses a fan blower system as an introduction to hot air with an air flow rate of 29 cfm and uses an automatic system as an electric controller. This ginger seed drying machine requires energy of 790 j / sec or 790 watts. The results in this study are that the red ginger seed drying machine can work well and can achieve drying of ginger seeds with an average moisture content of 83.17% where the moisture content is included in the specification requirements of PT. YRS within 45 minutes. This drying machine speeds up the drying process than before and cuts the operational costs of PT. YRS so that by using this tool PT. YRS can reduce expenses.

Abstract

One of the performance tests that must be carried out by the ship before launch is the progressive speed test. In doing the required speed test GPS-based devices. In previous research has been designed a software sea trial tracker that is able to process data from GPS devices quickly and efficiently. This study aims to create a device that can be used to support sea trial tracker software and make it easier for testers to perform a performance test with a portable and efficient device design which is then expected to be widely used in the ship performance test process. The device manufacturing process is carried out starting from the design stage of the design with the help of CAD software, component planning, and the assembly stage. The device testing method will be done directly at the sea trial stage and the test results will be compared with the results of hullspeed analysis using maxsurf software to determine the success of device function. Based on the results of the creation and testing of a modular performance package, this device is able to be used to support the sea trial tracker software as evidenced by the speed test on the sea trial. Modular package that is made using a battery with a capacity of 12V 3.5Ah which is able to supply the power needs of the device for 4-9 hours of use and is equipped with a battery charger that is able to charge the battery from empty to full within 25 minutes. Comparison between the results of a modular package test and the results of the maxsurfhullspeed software analysis shows the results that meet the 10% validation limit that has been determined, so that the modular package is capable of being used in a ship speed test.

Abstract

Proses milling material kayu yang tipis pada mesin CNC Router 3 Axis tidak dapat menggunakan cekam biasa. Material kayu yang tipis bisa dijepit dengan clamp atau dibaut. Pembuatan lubang baut juga tidak mudah dan tidak efisien. Selain clamping kit alat cekam bisa menggunakan sistem perekatan dengan lem yang dapat merusak permukaan material. Dari permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan alat cekam yang mampu menahan gaya potong saat proses millingtanpa merusak permukaan material. Vacuum clamp merupakan sebuah solusi untuk permasalahan tersebut.Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan vacuum clamp dimulai dari proses observasi spesifikasi mesin CNC router dan sifat material kayu. Setelah data yang dikumpulkan, maka dilakukan proses perhitungan kapasitas pompa, kekuatan cekam, dan detail drawing. Proses berikutnya yaitu pembuatan komponen dan perakitan vacuum clamp yang akan diuji langsung pada mesin CNC router 3 axis.Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu dari nilai tegangan geser kayu jati sebesar 13 Mpa menggunakan endmill 6 mm sudut helix 25o didapatkan resultan gaya potong sebesar 40,97 N. Dari luas minimum meja vakum 1764 mm2, dipilih kapasitas pompa sebesar 1 bar. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan 1 meja vakum dan 2 meja vakum dengan uji kesejajaran dan dimensi profil, hasil pengukuran produk uji menghasilkan nilai akurasi > akurasi penyimpangan maksimum.

Abstract

The use of a machine with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology is one of thealternatives in a manufacturing process. In the process of machining using Computer NumericalControlled (CNC), it is necessary to check the condition of the machine, because in machiningprocess requires good machine quality, tools using, cooling components, material in use andappropriate feeding procedure, so it can produce desired product. The common obstacles in CNCmachine is to overcome the corrosion that usually occurs in telescopic cover in CNC machine, so onthe method of forced flow (ICCP) with microcontroller system is applied. This method was chosenbecause it is easy to control the protection current that given to the system, this research using anodethat made from graphite material and cathode which is stainlees steel 304, with temperature variable40℃ and giving protection current 0,25 mA and 0,50 mA corresponds to the protection surface areaof 27.7172 cm2which requires a 0.066 mA current. Corrosion testing using the weight loss method ismeasuring the corrosion rate by measuring weight loss. From the previous test result usingimmersion test for 2 days corrosion rate that happened at 6,2008 mm / year then with rust electriccontrol test for 2 days resulted corrosion rate 2,5293 mm / year at current 0,25 mA whereas 0, 50 mAproduced a corrosion rate of 1.8580 mm / year. It can be concluded that the increase in the currentinput can slow down the rate of corrosion that occurs in SS 304 material.

Abstract

State-owned oil and gas companies coorporate with manufacturing companies that have been recommended to make Pertashop modular. PT. INKA Multi Solusi is one of the fabricators that produces Pertashop modular. In 2022 PT. INKA Multi Solusi plans to produce 1000 units the demand for Pertashop needsthroughout Indonesia. Pertashop fabrication process at PT. INKA Multi Solusi there are stages of the perlite insulation process on the side between the inner tank and outer tank which is carried out by 6 workers manually, by lifting the results of the cast mixer with a reservoir and then pouring it into the modular. The average time required for perlite insulation is 1 hour 15 minutes, so it is necessary to have an auxiliary machine for the distribution process of perlite insulation concrete to increase production effectiveness. The process of making machines using the Ulrich method starts from identifying consumer needs, determining design concepts, selecting design concepts, carrying out the fabrication process and testing machines. In testing this machine is able to distribute perlit concrete material as far as 2 meters vertically and 2 meters horizontally with an output capacity of 4 kg/minute with a total budget of Rp. 11.849.000,-

Abstract

consumers and markets need a new product in order to remain competitive in the industry 4.0 era. One way is to make products that are more environmentally friendly as well as to reduce the impact on the environment in the manufacture of these products. Sustainability is one of the appropriate methods to reduce the negative impact of working on a product on the environment, starting from the selection of materials, the selection of the fabrication process, and the percentage of machine parts that will become waste. The selection of the product that will be used as the initial product or as the object of a redesign is a mini concrete pump with one weakness in the fabrication process which results in too many negative impacts on the environment, one of which is in the selection of materials and the work process carried out. Initial product that has been redesigned creates 2 new designs. From the three designs, a sustainability analysis was applied and it was found that the design that has less impact on the environment based on the Sustainability Analysis analysis includes a carbon footprint of 820 kg CO2e, total energy consumption of 8900 MJ, water acidification of 5 Kg SO2e, and water eutrophication of 0.680 Kg PO4e was found on the mini concrete pump redesign concept 1.

Abstract

One of the transportation supporting the economy in Indonesia is the ship. The government prioritizes the maritime sector in national development, which has a positive impact on the domestic shipping industry in the production of ships with various raw materials being developed. Fiberglass is a type of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) reinforcing fiber. In the manufacture of FRB (Fiber Reinforced Boat), fiberglass is an important part, its texture is light, and sharp, easily blown by the wind and can be inhaled into the breath which is not good for health. Indonesia is overgrown with coconut plants, parts of the coconut plant have many benefits, but coconut coir is less used, and is considered a waste that accumulates under coconut plants and is left to rot, therefore it is necessary to use coconut coir as an alternative to natural fiber from coconut coir. Synthetic fibers in the manufacture of composites. In this study, a study was conducted on the effect of composition on the tensile strength of coconut fiber reinforced composites, using a fiber delignification time of 45 minutes and the variation of fiber composition was 20%, 30% and 40% based on volume fraction. Coconut coir fiber is carried out by delignification process using NaOH solution with a concentration of 5% for 45 minutes. The composite with the highest tensile strength was 40% fiber composition, which was 60.96 ± 6.36 MPa. While the lowest tensile strength with a fiber composition of 20% is 31.88 ± 9.51 MPa.

Abstract

Abstract – PT. Aneka Adhilogam Karya is a national private company engaged in the sand-casting industry supplying its products to the Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Indonesia. One of the products of piping supporting components manufactured is Clamp Saddle. Many of these products still have casting defects, such as gas porosity and shrinkage. Gating system is one of the most crucial factors to determine the quality of cast products. It is necessary to design a gating system for Clamp Saddle products. Then the casting simulation using ProCast 2018 needs to be done to get an optimal design and detect the presence of defect shrinkage or gas porosity. Furthermore, the sand casting process is carried out, and radiographic testing is carried out to detect defects in the inside of the Clamp Saddle product. The results of the study obtained agating system design with a pattern size of 400 mm x 335 mm then analyzed defects using ProCast 2018 on the variable total shrinkage porosity and air entrainment so that optimal results were obtained. Clamp Saddle product results from sand casting experiments were tested using radiography test(RT) to detect shrinkage or gas porosity and found some gas porosity but were still tolerable because of their small size of about 1 mm then they were few in number and were not gathered together

Abstract

Abstract – The red brick manufacturing industry is starting to be abandoned by many people and switch to using hebel bricks. Several things have caused red bricks to be abandoned, namely the price of red bricks is more expensive when compared to lightweight bricks for a size of 1 m2, besides that red bricks produced by conventional production processes have a red brick surface shape that is often uneven. Based on these conditions, we need an idea and innovation to create a machine to improve the production of red bricks in the form of a machine for smoothing and molding the clay of red brick for home-scale industries. The machine manufacturing process will use the Ulrich method from identifying machine requirements to selecting concepts and fabrication. Based on the results of the design using the Ulrich method, the design concept was chosen 1. Then planning, calculation and analysis will be carried out to determine the components to build the machine. The next stage is making of detailed drawings of the machine, followed by the fabrication and testing process. In testing clay smoothing and molding machine for red brick, the machine is capable of producing 120 red bricks per hour with a total cost of Rp. 12.217.500,-.
