Thirty-three teachers were the participants conducted on 7-8 January 2020. After collecting all the data, the researcher found that there are some results of how teachers can help to implement the self-reliance based character education such as: 1) to be active learners, 2) encouraging students in asking question when teaching and learning process for every subject, 3) teachers’ method of teaching, 4) integrating scout or boys’ brigade in the school, 5) students’ discipline to school policy, and 6) students’ freedom in using the internet as media for learning. Though there were problems in implementing the self-reliance based character education such as parents’ encouragement to school policy and teachers’ ability to implement the self-reliance in the subject, the researchers hope that this socialization can enlighten and empower teachers in implementing the self-reliance to the students for the brighter future of the students themselves and also for the advances of country.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impulse buying behavior influenced by the Shopee marketplace sales promotion in the Sibatu-batu Block 9 community, Sitalasari, Pematangsiantar city. This study uses a library research design and field research. The sample of this study was 38 people. The types of data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative data, while the data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. Data collection was carried out through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis techniques used include normality tests, qualitative descriptive analysis, and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that sales promotion is good and impulse buying is high, and there is a strong and positive relationship between the two variables. The findings also indicate that variations in impulse buying can be explained by sales promotion, and the hypothesis test confirms that H0 is rejected, meaning that sales promotion significantly affects impulse buying on the Shopee marketplace. Based on these findings, the study suggests that Shopee should consider re-adjusting the minimum purchase requirements to obtain shipping discounts, especially for areas outside Sumatra, in order to improve the effectiveness of sales promotion. Furthermore, to increase impulse buying, Shopee is advised to add time and quantity limits combined with tiered discounts.

Abstract

Employee performance is crucial for hospital service quality, yet limited work facilities remain a barrier to satisfaction and productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of workplace facilities on job satisfaction and employee performance in the administrative unit. The research used a combination of field research and library research methods. The population consisted of all 33 administrative staff members. Data analysis techniques included normality tests, qualitative descriptive analysis, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that workplace facilities were rated as good. Employees reported a satisfactory level of job satisfaction, although aspects such as work challenges and reward systems need improvement. Employee performance was also rated as good, especially in terms of discipline and punctuality, while initiative was hindered by monotonous work routines. Quantitative analysis revealed a moderately strong correlation between workplace facilities and both job satisfaction and employee performance. Workplace facilities accounted for 56.3% of the variance in job satisfaction and 48.5% in employee performance. Regression analysis confirmed that workplace facilities have a statistically significant effect on both job satisfaction and performance. These findings highlight the critical role of workplace facilities in enhancing human resource quality within hospital administrative environments.
