Abstract

This study investigates how the perception of corporations acts as a mediator connecting employer branding with applicants’ intentions to apply for jobs from the Gen Z demographic in Indonesia’s private banking sector. While the broader context refers to the Indonesian private banking industry, the empirical support identified in this study was drawn from Semarang, involving 120 Generation Z respondents who were either final-year students or recent graduates residing in the city. A quantitative design was conducted through a survey approach with purposive sampling, and data were acquired through web-based questionnaires. The evaluation was carried out employing the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS version 4. 0. The findings indicate that employer branding significantly influences both the reputation of the company and the likelihood of application in a positive manner. Additionally, a company's reputation is strongly and positively linked to the intention to apply, serving as a bridge between employer branding and the desire to seek employment opportunities. The study highlights that employer branding, when managed effectively, enhances Generation Z’s application intention, operating both as a direct driver and via the mediating influence of corporate reputation. Practically, this implies private banks in Indonesia particularly those operating in Semarang should concentrate on advancing employer branding practices while upholding a strong corporate reputation to draw and involve talented candidates from Generation Z. This study provides a contribution to the academic field by highlighting empirical evidence collected in Semarang reflect the interaction between employer branding and corporate reputation in influencing job application behavior of Generation Z within the private banking sector.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of growth of the manufacturing sector, the human development index, and inflation on income inequality in the Solo Raya Region in 2008-2020. This study used panel data analysis with six districts and one city member of the Solo Raya Region. The data analysis stage was a selection test of the estimation technique and the classical assumption test to produce the best panel data regression model with the SUR cross-section weight. The regression estimation shows that the growth of the manufacturing sector and inflation positively and significantly affect income inequality. The human development index shows a negative and significant impact on income inequality. This analysis indicates that the economic development process in the Solo Raya region is in line with the development stages based on Rostow's view. The positive relationship between growth in the manufacturing sector and income inequality shows similarities to Kuznets's hypothesis that income inequality will increase in the initial phase of economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of inclusive work culture, work environment, and work-life balance on employee performance at Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri Banyubiru. The approach used is quantitative with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the three variables have a positive and significant relationship to employee performance. Inclusive work culture was found to be the most dominant factor in improving performance and productivity, followed by the role of a conducive work environment and the importance of work-life balance. The results of this study indicate that improving employee performance requires support from an inclusive work culture, good relationships between employees, and proportional work time management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendiskripsikan pelaku usaha pada Sentra Industri Kreatif Sangkar Burung Mojosongo, Surakarta. Pendekatan klaster digunakan untuk menjelaskan pola kerja dan peluang yang dapat dikembangkan oleh pelaku usaha untuk memulihkan usahanya pasca gejolak ekonomi akibat Covid-19. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dimana terdapat lima orang pelaku usaha dalam industri tersebut yang menjadi narasumber. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan in-depth interview dengan pertanyaan terbuka. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan klaster memang tepat digunakan untuk mengembangkan IKM di Indonesia. Penguatan jaringan melalui beberapa macam kerjasama menjadi faktor penting dalam upaya menumbuhkan kembali industri ini pasca Covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how the leadership, work discipline, motivation, and environment of the Semarang City Culture and Tourism Office affect the performance of its workers. The researchers in this study used a quantitative method, gathering data via interviews and questionnaires. The study used a saturation sampling method. Information was gathered from 69 respondents. The data was analyzed using Smart PLS software, which includes features including hypothesis testing, internal model analysis, and external model analysis. Employee performance was positively affected by leadership style, work discipline, and the work environment, while motivation was shown to have no such impact.

Abstract

The aim of this analysis is to test and evaluate the effect of trust, brand image, and cashback on consumer buying interest in adidas in the shopee market place. To test and assess the effect of trust, brand image, cashback, and purchase intention on adidas consumer purchasing decisions in the shopee market place. The population studied was all adidas consumers in the shopee market place in Semarang City. This study used purposive sampling technique with 190 respondents. SEM PLS is the data analysis tool used. Based on empirical facts and the SEM PLS research model, it is found that trust has a positive and insignificant impact on the purchase intention of Adidas customers on the Shopee e-commerce website. Brand image has a positive and significant effect on buying interest in adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Cashback has a positive and significant effect on buying interest in adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Trust has a positive and insignificant effect on purchasing decisions for adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Cashback has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Purchase interest has a positive and insignificant effect on purchasing decisions for adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce. Purchase intention cannot mediate the influence of trust on purchasing decisions for adidas consumers in Shopee e-commerce through purchase intention. Abstract

Perkembangan e-commerce yang pesat di Indonesia mendorong persaingan antar marketplace, sehingga diperlukan strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan minat beli konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh digital marketing, kualitas layanan, dan diskon terhadap minat beli konsumen pada marketplace Lazada di Kota Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dan dianalisis menggunakan PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digital marketing, kualitas layanan, dan diskon berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli, dengan diskon sebagai faktor yang paling dominan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya optimalisasi strategi pemasaran digital, peningkatan kualitas layanan, serta program diskon yang menarik dalam meningkatkan minat beli konsumen.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work-life balance, job autonomy, effective communication, and social support on employee well-being among Generation Z workers employed at digital agencies in Semarang City. The research background stems from the high workload in the digital creative industry, which can affect the psychological and emotional state of young employees. A quantitative approach is employed via survey method, with data collection conducted through questionnaires distributed to selected respondents based on specific criteria. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique, yielding 123 respondents qualified for analysis. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the interrelationships among the research variables. The analysis findings reveal that all independent variables—namely work-life balance, job autonomy, effective communication, and social support—exert a positive and significant influence on employee well-being. Among these, social support emerges as the most dominant factor, underscoring the vital role of support from supervisors and colleagues in enhancing the well-being of Generation Z workers. These results also indicate that adequate provision of work resources can sustain and boost employee well-being even amid intense job demands, while offering practical implications for digital agency management and a foundation for future studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tujuannya guna menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan, motivasi kerja, kompensasi, dan beban kerja padadisiplin kerja pegawai non-ASN di Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Kota Semarang. Riset ini termasuk riset kuantitatif, dan data dihimpun melalui kuesioner. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 145, dan sampel diambil melalui teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data riset ini yakni Structural Equation Modeling metode Partial Least Squares (PLS). Temuan riset ini mengungkapkan jika: Pertama, riset ini menemukan jika beban kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan pada disiplin kerja. Kedua, ditemukan jika kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada disiplin kerja. Ketiga, kompensasi berpengaruh positif signifikan pada disiplin kerja. Terakhir, riset ini menyimpulkan jika motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja. Temuan riset ini mengungkapkan bila dengan memahami elemen-elemen ini, manajemen dapat menumbuhkan disiplin kerja karyawan, sehingga memfasilitasi pencapaian tujuan organisasi.
