Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to analyze the quality of Biology questions for class The analysis was carried out through a multiple choice question document totaling 25 question numbers. Next, an analysis of the question items was carried out using the parameters of validity, reliability, level of difficulty of the questions, distinguishing power and effectiveness of distractors using existing formulas. The subjects in this research were students in class X Science at SMA Jaya Negara Makassar for the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 20 students. The data collection technique is carried out by evaluation to obtain data in the form of exam questions, answer keys, and a list of student names. The data obtained was analyzed using the Anates Application Version 4.0.9. The research results showed that (1) as many as 18 questions or 72% of the questions were declared valid, 2) the reliability of the questions was r11 = 0.36 with high category (3) difficulty level of 48%, difficult questions and 20% easy questions. (4) The discriminating power of the questions is good, where > 5% of the students have been selected (5) 56% of the questions have good and very good distractor effectiveness, and 16% have poor or poor distractor effectiveness

Abstract

This study aims to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of grade XI students at SMK Jaya Negara Makassar by applying the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model. This class action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles, with the research subjects consisting of 20 students of class XI of SMK Jaya Negara Makassar. Each cycle consisted of four stages of activities, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection in this study was conducted through observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was quantitative analysis, including calculating learning outcome scores, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The average student score in cycle I was 69.75, while it increased to 86.15 in cycle II. In addition, the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes in cycle I reached 60%, and in cycle II increased to 100%, which showed perfect criteria. Based on this study's results, applying the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning method effectively improves student learning outcomes in chemistry subjects in class XI of SMK Jaya Negara. This research is expected to positively contribute to learning practices in schools and become a reference for further research on cooperative learning models in chemistry education.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Nasional Makassar through the application of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model on the classification of living things. The subjects of this study were class X students totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing learning and learning outcomes tests at the end of each cycle. Data on student learning outcomes were collected through learning outcomes tests and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in cycle I with 47.23% to 77.78% in cycle II. This achievement shows that the IOC model can improve the biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Nasional Makasar. The IOC model can facilitate students to actively move, interact, work together, and help students understand biological concepts through peer explanations

Abstract

The project learning model is an innovative model that is ideal for developing essential 21st century skills. This study aims to investigate the development, implementation, and integration of STEM-PjBL with students' analytical thinking skills through a literature review. The research method is a systematic literature review of 10 articles that have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The review method involves analyzing research trends and pedagogical approaches to analytical thinking skills, developing thinking skills through STEM-PjBL, and 3. Integration of Design Thinking in STEM-PjBL. The results show the potential of STEM-PjBL to effectively improve analytical and critical thinking skills in chemistry education. Educators can maximize the potential of STEM-PjBL by implementing the right pedagogical approach and overcoming existing challenges. Integration of design thinking can optimize the development of students' thinking skills to solve problems creatively and innovatively. Thus, the application of STEM-PjBL and integration of design thinking are effective strategies to improve the quality of chemistry learning and prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century.
