Abstract

Organizational culture plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of principal leadership and performance. This article aims to review various studies that discuss the relationship between organizational culture, leadership, and principal performance. Through a literature review approach, this study analyzes the results of previous studies to find the relationship between these elements. A strong organizational culture has been shown to have a significant impact on the effectiveness of principal leadership, because it can create a conducive work environment, increase collaboration, and strengthen the commitment of organizational members to common goals. In addition, an inclusive and learning-oriented organizational culture supports principals in managing operational and strategic challenges, including managing conflict and resistance to change. This study also revealed that transformational leadership plays a major role in leveraging organizational culture to create innovation and improve performance. Principals who succeed in building a positive organizational culture often demonstrate flexibility and ability to face the dynamics of modern education. By understanding the core values ??of organizational culture, principals can build harmonious relationships with teachers, staff, and students, thereby creating a better learning environment. The results of the study also show that a weak organizational culture can be an obstacle to achieving educational goals. In this condition, the principal needs to take strategic steps to strengthen the organizational culture, including involving all school members in the decision-making process and increasing teacher participation in curriculum development. A strong organizational culture not only improves the performance of the principal but also has a positive impact on student learning outcomes and staff job satisfaction. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the relationship between organizational culture, leadership, and principal performance. By integrating findings from various studies, this article provides recommendations for principals, policy makers, and educational researchers to focus on strengthening organizational culture as a primary strategy in improving the quality of education. This study also opens up opportunities for further research that can explore specific ways to integrate organizational culture with adaptive leadership styles

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze how principal leadership development occurs through experiential learning. This study uses a literature review method to examine various literatures related to the concept of principal leadership and experiential learning. In the context of ever-evolving education, principals face complex challenges, ranging from policy changes to technology integration. The results of the study indicate that structured reflection, mentoring, practice-based training, and institutional support are key elements in leadership development. Reflection allows principals to evaluate decisions and actions in depth, while mentoring provides direct guidance from more experienced leaders to overcome real challenges. Practice-based training, such as leadership simulations and case studies, helps principals improve their skills in making strategic decisions. In addition, institutional support plays an important role by providing resources, supportive policies, and a conducive environment for continuous learning. This article recommends a holistic approach that integrates these elements to create an effective and relevant leadership development strategy in various educational contexts. With a systematic experience-based approach, principals are expected to be able to become adaptive, innovative, and effective learning leaders in facing the challenges of 21st century education.

Abstract

The development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 requires the education system to continue to adapt to technology and dynamic social changes. The curriculum as the foundation of education undergoes various changes to adapt to industry needs and global demands. This research aims to analyze curriculum changes in Indonesia through literature studies, focusing on the comparison between the 2013 Curriculum, Merdeka Curriculum, and the latest National Curriculum. The method used is a bibliometric approach with data analysis from various academic and educational policy sources. The results show that Curriculum 2013 still tends to be rigid and less flexible, while Merdeka Curriculum provides more freedom in learning design. The new National Curriculum is designed to integrate digital technology and 21st century skills but is still in the early stages of implementation. The impact of these changes on teachers includes increased demands on digital and pedagogical competencies, while for students, a more flexible curriculum provides learning opportunities that are more suited to individual needs. The study recommends improved teacher training, equitable distribution of digital infrastructure and collaboration between schools, industry and government in curriculum design.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu sekolah, perencanaan dapat melibatkan dukungan dan motivasi kepada guru-guru, seperti pembinaan mental-spiritual, penghargaan atas prestasi, dan kegiatan berbagi pengalaman dengan memberikan contoh yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bentuk manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah ditinjau dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian kelas, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pengawasan di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang. Untuk mengevaluasi dan mengkaji keefektifan manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah. redusi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan data. Hasil kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang termasuk perencanaan, pengorganisasian kelas, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan pengawasan sudah efektif. Hal ini terbukti dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai untuk memenuhi standar sekolah yang sempurna, seperti sarana prasarana, sumber daya manusia, dan program kerja. Efektifitas manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang adalah tercapainya tujuan yaitu tercapainya Manajemen berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dalam meningkatkan standar mutu sekolah, adanya strategi pencapaian yang dilakukan disekolah dalam upaya untuk mencapai standar mutu sekolah yang baik, adanya Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam melaksanakan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dan tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung untuk menghasilkan standar mutu sekolah yang baik.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to enhance students' learning creativity by applying the pictorial riddle model in social studies education. The study uses a qualitative method. The subjects in this study are all fifth-grade students at SDN 104215 Sudirejo, Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency, totaling 23 students. The data source in this study is all fifth-grade students at SDN 104215, and the student data collected is in the form of learning test results. The teacher, as the researcher, focuses on the teacher's activities in teaching and the interaction between the teacher and the students in the learning process. The results of this study show that the application of the pictorial riddle model (the key to success) in social studies education can improve students' learning outcomes and creativity. The pretest data before using the pictorial riddle model showed an average score of 72.52, while based on the posttest results after using the pictorial riddle model, there was an average score of 87.39, indicating an improvement. This is also evidenced by the number of students who achieved the minimum passing grade before the research was conducted.

Abstract

This research aims to see how pop-up books influence the desire to study science subjects on wetland ecosystems in class 3 at SD Muhammadiyah 07 Medan. The type of quantitative research used in this research is a quasi-experimental control group design. This research took two classes as samples, with one class being the class that used pop-up books as a learning medium and the other class not using pop-up books as a learning medium. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling in sampling and uses a questionnaire for data collection of 20 items. To analyze the data, the T test was used which has been used previously for the Shapiro Wilk normality test and Levene's homogeneity test. Before the research began, a reliability test was carried out using Cronbach's alpha and a validity test using the Gregory formula. Test the hypothesis using the T test, which has a significance value of 0.000. Based on the findings obtained, it is concluded that pop-up books have an important influence on student learning motivation at SD Muhammadiyah 07 Medan. This could be one solution for making pop-up books as a learning medium as an alternative. to increase students' motivation to learn.

Abstract

Pelatihan Pengembangan Kompetensi Manajerial merupakan upaya sistematis untuk meningkat kan keterampilan, pengetahuan dan sikap yang diperlukan bagi seorang manajer atau pemimpin untuk mengelola organisasi atau tim secara efektif. Sebagai seorang pemimpin, kepala sekolah juga merupakan seorang manajer, yang dituntut memiliki kemampuan manajerial yang berkaitan dengan terciptanya sekolah yang efektif. Kepala sekolah harus memenuhi kompetensi sebagaimana diatur dalam Permendiknas No. 13 Tahun 2007 tentang standar Kepala Sekolah/Madrasah. Pelatihan Pengembangan Kompetensi Manajerial Kepala Sekolah dan Guru SMP di Lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sergei dilaksanakan pada tanggal 08 – 09 Maret 2024 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 270 orang. Pelatihan menerapkan langkah-langkah dan metode yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka dalam mengelola sekolah dan pembelajaran. Hasil pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, melalui peningkatan kompetensi guru pada lima aspek tersebut. Evaluasi ini dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai cara, seperti angket, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis hasil kinerja peserta setelah pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi selanjutnya dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi keberhasilan pelatihan dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah “Kepelatihan Kompetensi dan Kapasitas Literasi dan Numerasi bagi Guru SMP di Lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Langkat”. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan dan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam literasi dan numerasi melalui program pelatihan yang efektif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Langkat, dengan subjek penelitian adalah guru-guru SMP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program pelatihan yang ada dan merancang strategi peningkatan yang dapat membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan kompetensi dan kapasitas literasi dan numerasi sangat penting bagi guru SMP. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam literasi dan numerasi, tetapi juga membantu mereka dalam mengimplementasikan strategi pengajaran yang efektif di kelas. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa ada kebutuhan untuk peningkatan berkelanjutan dalam program pelatihan ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Langkat harus terus memperbarui dan menyesuaikan program pelatihan ini untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam praktek pengajaran mereka. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang pentingnya pelatihan kompetensi dan kapasitas literasi dan numerasi bagi guru SMP dan bagaimana program pelatihan ini dapat ditingkatkan dan disesuaikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka.

Abstract

This activity is entitled Strengthening teachers in preparing quizziz-based student worksheets at SD Muhammadiyah 29 Sunggal, Deli Serdang Regency. The purpose of this activity is to provide reinforcement for teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 29 in implementing learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The strengthening in question is training and assistance in the management of Quizziz-assisted evaluation. This needs to be done in order to improve the quality of education in schools which are part of the Muhammadiyah organization's charitable efforts. The method used in this activity is training with the steps of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The success of this activity is not only on the teacher's understanding of using the Quizziz application during training, but is the application in each class to increase students' interest and motivation to learn.
