Abstract

Established in 2002, the Ladior Cake and Cookies MSME operates in the culinary industry, specializing in the production of different kinds of moist cakes and pastries. The company places a strong emphasis on quality control. The company suffered from defective products resulting from quality issues in the production of both wet and dry cakes. Cake flaws include burned cakes, uneven cake sizes, unsightly cakes, easily brittle cakes, and moldy cakes. The purpose of this research is to control cake quality utilizing seven tools. This study is using a quantitative methodology. The research findings indicate that five different types of cake defects were obtained using the check sheet; the highest defects were caused by burnt cake when stratification was applied; the data were obtained using a histogram; the scatter diagram displayed the relationship between the factors causing defects; the Control Chart diagram displayed controlled cake production data; the Pareto diagram identified the defects that required attention, the most critical of which was an empty cake; and the Fish Bone Diagram identified the factors that cause burnt cake defects because the oven needed to be replaced. Factors including Man, Machine, Method, and Material are responsible for the highest number of cake defects out of all product. The Ladior Cake & Cookies owners have to improve maintenance, honing worker professionalism, and stepping up production process oversight to cut down on the amount of faulty goods. Seven tools will be added to the TQM technique by future researchers and used with other MSMEs.

Abstract

Sumatera Volunteer Foundation was founded in 2014. The foundation is located in Jorong Balai Labuah Bawah-Lima Kaum, which is located on flat land. The main activity of the non-profit Sumatra Volunteer Foundation is a handicraft business whose main raw materials are obtained from nature Sumatra Volunteer sells goods whose raw material is bamboo, such as straws (Sumatra Straws), food made from coconut shells, gifts made from bamboo, and crafts to finance the Foundation's operational activities. In BPOM permit regulations, only straw products are permitted because they are used directly by users as drinking utensils. The sales system still uses the help of friends, family, alumni, students, and interns from the Sumatra Volunteer Foundation. The marketing activities of the Sumatra Volunteer Foundation do not yet have a BPOM permit, so consumers and potential consumers feel safer when using goods with a BPOM certificate. This activity aims to develop the craft product business at the Sumatra Volunteer Foundation by obtaining a BPOM permit. Educational activities regarding BPOM were successfully carried out with the consideration that the product could be clinically tested.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pengaruh pembelajaran kewirausahaan dan motivasi kewirausahaan terhdap minat menjdi pengusaha muda (young entrepreneur) pada mahasiswa prodi ekonomi pembangunan di Universitas Andalas. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan penyebaran kuesioner serta menggunakan STATA. Hasil penelitian adalah motivasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh terhadap minat mahasiswa menjadi entrepreneur, sedangkan pembelajaran kewirausahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap minat mahasiswa menjadi entrepreneur pada mahasiswa prodi ekonomi pembangunan di Universitas Andalas Payakumbuh.

Abstract

This activity aims to 1) Provide knowledge and training to Tiakar Village, Payakumbuh residents to use recycled waste as valuable compost. 2) Minimize environmental pollution by utilizing waste. Furthermore, 3) provide facilities for the community, especially residents of Tiakar Village, to participate in providing organic waste to be converted into organic fertilizer (compost). The training was carried out at the Tiakar Village Office, Payakumbuh. The training activity was attended by 20 women and fathers from the complex from representatives of each RT/RW in Tiakar Village, East Payakumbuh, West Sumatra. The method for this activity is a lecture method, which transfers knowledge regarding making organic compost fertilizer, discussions and questions and answers with participants, and direct practice in compost fertilizer using an aerobic system. After practice, participants produced 20 kg of compost, each taking home 1 kg. As a result of the activities after the training, compost bags were handed over to the Village Head's Office to collect organic waste around the village. With this program, it is hoped that the training participants will raise awareness to protect the environment and apply the principles of Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle (3R). With this training, participants who attend are expected to act as agents in composting so that organic waste can be used as compost.

Abstract

Im Lele adalah salah satu usaha pertenakan ikan lele berdiri tahun 2017 yang ada di Kota Payakumbuh yang belamat di Batu Nan Limo, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Kecamatan Payakumbuh, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, Sumatera Barat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM Im Lele ialah penurunan penjualan ikan lele sejak bulan Agustus 2022. Penurunan penjualan ini menyebabkan berkurangnya keuntungan yang dihasilkan oleh pemilik UMKM karena harga pakan semakin naik dan biaya tidak terduga lainnya. Dalam usaha ini belum menerapkan peramalan (forescasting) penjualan sehingga jumlah produksi dan permintaan ikan lele mengalami fluktuasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk meramalkan permintaan dari usaha ikan lele Im untuk 6 periode. Metode penelitian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan forecasting dengan model ARIMA. Hasil penelitian model forecasting yang cocok ialah dengan model ARIMA atau Box Jenkins (1, 1, 1) dengan jumlah peramalah selama 6 bulan sebanyak 6.481 lele

Abstract

Salah satu UMKM gula aren, Saka Halaban masih sering menghasilkan produk yang cacat selama proses produksi. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas terhadap produknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan cacat dan menawarkan solusi untuk mengurangi jumlah cacat. Seven tools digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari produksi selama enam bulan pada tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga jenis kecacatan dalam proses produksi UMKM Saka Halaban : ukuran tidak sama, yang paling dominan dengan jumlah sebanyak 72 Kg selanjutnya warna gula dan gula pecah. Kecacatan dengan ukuran tidak sama dipengaruhi oleh empat faktor : manusia, metode, material dan mesin. Hubungan antara peningkatan dan penurunan produksi sangat kuat dengan jumlah kecacatan. Karena tidak melewati batas kendali atas dan bawah, produksi gula aren UMKM Saka Halaban selama enam bulan pertama tahun 2022 masih berada di batas toleransi.

Abstract

MSMEs Heler Sari is one of the rice millers in Payakumbuh, West Sumatera. In running a rice milling business, the owner has never measured the standard time of workers, so the management cannot determine the optimal number of workers. This research aims to measure the standard time of workers in MSMEs as a consideration for owners in optimising productivity by paying attention to allowances and worker factor ratings. This research is quantitative with a time study approach using a stopwatch as the primary data source. The research results showed that the standard time for each work element for lifting grain was 6.023 minutes, drying grain 10.2 minutes, putting grain into sacks 7.264 minutes, putting grain into the mill 11.373 minutes, sewing rice sacks 1.928 minutes, putting rice into sacks 3.489 minutes, lifting rice to storage 3.89 minutes. 3.89 minutes. Measuring work is very important, especially knowing the standard times of work components. Increasing productivity can reduce time and costs and achieve production goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaji dan fasilitas kesejahteraan terhadap produktivitas karyawan di mediasi oleh motivasi kerja karyawan pada UMKM Salim Bakery di Kota Padangsidimpuan, Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan dengan metode kuantitatif dengan pengolahan data PLS-SEM dengan bantuan software SmartPLS terhadap 31 responden karyawan Salim Bakery. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gaji berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan, fasilitas kesejahteraan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan, gaji berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan, fasilitas kesejahteraan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan, motivasi kerja karyawan signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan, gaji berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan di mediasi oleh motivasi kerja karyawan dan fasilitas kesejahteraan menunjukan tidak signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan di mediasi oleh motivasi kerja karyawan pada UMKM Salim Bakery di Kota Padangsidimpuan, Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

One micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) in the Payakumbuh City area is Andika Farm, which focuses on broiler chicken production. This MSME has distributed a lot of broiler chickens and is collaborating with other parties to increase its production. One of the problems faced by Andika Farm MSMEs is capacity planning, empty cages due to a shortage of seeds, disrupted distribution of chickens, and a lack of planning to meet needs. The research aims to help plan capacity by determining the amount of production, constraints that must be considered, optimal profits, and sensitivity values to the optimum solution achieved in MSMEs. This research was conducted using two methods: Linear Programming and Decision Trees. The results of optimizing cage profit 2 produce an EMV of IDR 104,500. Compared with cage 1, cage 2 has the best use of production factors. The quality of the seeds is greatly influenced by the cage's location, where production factors could be more efficient.Keywords: capacity planning; decision tree; linear Programming

Abstract

Abstrak. Erina adalah salah satu UMKM yang menghasilkan Gelamai. Umkm ini menghadapi masalah permintaan karena mereka tidak tahu bagaimana permintaan konsumen berubah setiap saat, yang berdampak pada stok bahan baku dan membutuhkan perencanaan yang matang untuk mengendalikan bahan baku untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar. Metode peramalan kuantitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan weighted moving average (WMA) dan eksponensial. Dengan menggunakan prediksi penjualan gelamai untuk bulan Januari 2024, kami menemukan bahwa penjualan gelamai akan mencapai 7.224,67 gelamai dengan tingkat kesalahan MAD 354,96, MSE 15.4069,3, dan MAPE 0,05. Dengan menggunakan metode rata-rata bergerak dengan pembobotan tiga bulanan, bobot periode sebelumnya akan dibebankan sebesar 0,3, sedangkan bobot untuk dua periode sebelumnya 0,2, dan bobot untuk tiga periode sebelumnya adalah 0,1. Abstract. Erina is one of the MSMEs that produces gelamai. This MSME faces demand problems because they do not know how consumer demand changes at any time, which impacts their raw material stock and requires careful planning to control raw materials to meet market demand. The quantitative forecasting methods used in this study are the weighted moving average (WMA) and exponential approaches. Using the Gelamai sales prediction for January 2024, we found that Gelamai sales will reach 7,224.67 Gelamai with a MAD error rate of 354.96, MSE of 15.4069.3, and MAPE of 0.05. The three-month weighted moving average method charges the weight of the previous period at 0.3, 0.2 for the previous two periods, and 0.1 for the previous three periods.
