Abstract

AbstractThis paper describes the design of fuzzy logic controls in the system of electronic control unit (ECU) of car air conditioner. One obstacle in the car ECU is damage to the air conditioner system. If this happens generally car users change the whole ECU system. But in this paper, the authors form the ECU system which is specifically used for car air conditioner systems. The system is designed using a DS18B20 waterproof sensor to detect the temperature of the car's evaporator. Furthermore, the temperature value is used as a fuzzy logic input consisting of reading the current temperature and the last temperature in adjusting the rotating speed of the DC motor fan or exhausting fan and when the switching magnetic clutch compressor is on. Completion of fuzzy input relations is solved using Mamdani rules and the output of fuzzy logic is solved using the weight average (WA) method. From the test results it was found that the fuzzy logic control applied to the design of the air conditioner system was able to control the speed of the exhausting fan in a smooth and responsive manner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of nine types of intelligence (Multiple Intelligences) through an e-learning program implemented through a computer network and/or personal computer (PC) with CD ROM. This type of research includes quantitative descriptive research, which describes the function of e-learning programs as a means of growth and development of all types of intelligence. The research method is carried out by comparing the pedagogical way of developing multiple intelligences with the facilities owned by the e-learning program. The degree of conformity used a percentage (%), then processed using a Likert Scale. Based on theory and virtual experiments, as well as the opinions of 2 experts and 35 education practitioners as junior/high school teachers, it was found that the e-learning program functions to facilitate the development of intelligence in the "distributed" category with a score of 4 (scale 1-5). The results of this study will help teachers and lecturers reflect on face-to-face learning so that during the Covid-19 period learning can be transferred to a system that uses an e-learning program that can accommodate the growth and development of multiple intelligences supported by technological advances. Moreover, this system does not require a network and signal but can be accessed in the form of a CD-ROOM/Flash Disk. In the future, learning like this can be a priority to be implemented.

Abstract

The Amorphophallus flower is one of the Endangered species, so there needs to be an effort to preserve breeding with a fast time, namely artificial vegetative. In addition, the a need for a growth hormone to accelerate the growth process so that the number is not extinct, namely growth regulators (ZPT). The purpose of this study was to breed A. titanum vegetatively supported with growth regulators (ZPT) to improve quality and growth rates. The method used is a completely randomized design (CRD), which is divided into 4 treatments namely A (coconut water), B (shallots), C (bamboo shoots), and D (control) with a total of 4 replications so that in this study there were 16 plants (polybags). The results showed that the natural growth regulator treatment of shallot extract gave the best results in the parameter of the number of shoots, while coconut water extract gave the best results in the parameters of shoot length and growth time. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the use of natural growth regulators from coconut water, shallots, and bamboo shoots affects the growth rate of Amorphophallus titanum.

Abstract

Navigation technology is essential in fields like transportation and logistics, where precise mapping and localization are critical. Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technologies, such as Hector SLAM, enable robots to map environments by detecting and predicting object locations using sensors like LiDAR. Unlike other SLAM methods, Hector SLAM operates without odometry, relying solely on LiDAR data to produce accurate maps. This study investigates the application of Hector SLAM in a differential drive mobile robot controlled via the Robot Operating System (ROS), with PID control managing the motor speeds. The research contribution is the integration of Hector SLAM with PID control to enhance mapping accuracy in environments without odometry data. The method involves testing the robot's mapping performance in an indoor environment, focusing on the impact of varying linear and angular velocities on the quality of the generated maps. The PID control was tuned to ensure stable speed values for the robot's differential drive motors. Results show that Hector SLAM, when combined with well-tuned PID control, generates highly accurate maps that closely match the actual environment dimensions, with minimal errors. Specifically, the mapping error was found to be within 0.10 meters, validating the effectiveness of this approach in non-odometric systems. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that Hector SLAM, supported by PID-controlled motor stability, is an effective solution for mapping in differential drive mobile robots, particularly in scenarios where odometry is unavailable.

Abstract

Knowledge continues to evolve, requiring teachers to innovate, particularly in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). Field observations indicate that many schools still struggle with its implementation, as they must tailor learning to students' individual characteristics. SMPN 03 Lebong in Bengkulu Province is one such school facing these challenges. Given these issues, an alternative solution is needed to support the independent implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka. One possible approach is to provide training for teachers at SMPN 03 Lebong on designing learning activities and practical worksheets based on the Prediction, Observation, and Explanation (POE) model. This training follows the I-CARE design, which consists of five stages: Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension. As a result, teachers successfully developed six learning designs and practical guides based on the POE model, utilizing available tools and materials from their surroundings. This initiative enhances student-centered learning, aligning with the objectives of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Exposure to mercury chloride (HgCl?) is known to induce oxidative stress, which negatively affects the hematological system, including a decrease in hemoglobin levels. This study aims to analyze the effect of honje fruit juice (Etlingera hemisphaerica), known for its high antioxidant content, on hemoglobin levels in mice (Mus musculus) exposed to mercury chloride. This study used an experimental method involving several groups of mice, namely group K1 (control), group K2 (given honje fruit juice), and group K3 (injected with mercury and given honje fruit juice). Hemoglobin levels were measured using a Sahli tube. The results showed that honje fruit juice significantly increased hemoglobin levels in mice exposed to mercury chloride compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the antioxidant content in honje fruit can help reduce the toxic effects of mercury chloride on the circulatory system. Therefore, honje fruit juice has the potential to be developed as a natural therapeutic agent in efforts to mitigate the toxic effects of mercury chloride.

Abstract

Biogas is a renewable, environmentally friendly energy source with significant potential for science education, offering an alternative to the global fossil fuel crisis. This study aims to provide a brief overview of research trends, publication contributions, methodologies used, thematic coverage, and teaching integration in the biogas-based science education literature. This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with bibliometric analysis, supported by Publish or Perish and VOSviewer, including 720 selected articles from the period 2015 to 2024. The results show that, since 2020, publications related to biogas have increased significantly, with three main research focuses: the use of organic waste for renewable energy development; the application of biogas as an alternative global energy source through technological innovation; and its integration into HOTS learning and education. The majority of the publications come from reputable international journals such as Energies and Sustainability. Case studies and reviews remain the dominant research protocols, while empirical designs such as experiments and surveys are still relatively rare, leaving room for more applied follow-up studies. This review also finds that the application of biogas in science education can support the development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). However, this application remains limited in the existing literature. Therefore, the findings highlight the need for further empirical research to more deeply explore the potential of biogas for science education and HOTS development. This study provides new insights that the biogas literature has not fully integrated practical applications for HOTS development, thus requiring further creative and applied research to address this gap. Keywords: alternative energy, biogas, environmentally friendly, HOTS, science education.
