Abstract

Background: Professional nurses are born from the experience of interacting with other people, in this case, one of which is caring for patients and awareness of themselves/interactions with themselves. According to Pamela G Reed's theory, this interaction and connectedness are related to self-transcendence. Nurses working in emotionally and physically demanding environments develop high levels of intra-connection and high engagement, which facilitate caring interactions with patients and enhance multiple dimensions of their well-being. Self-transcendence tends to accept and like what is done both in daily activities and when interacting with people. Methods: This research is a scoping review. By searching for keyword factors that influence nurses' self-transcendence and nurses' self-transcendence in three data sources, Google Scholar, Crossref and Pubmed using Publish or Perish. Results: There were 5887 articles, and after the selection process, six articles were analyzed. Spirituality is a factor that affects self-transcendence. Besides that, self-transcendence affects self-transcendence in nurses, which affects nurse interactions, work safety climate in the service environment, and fatigue in providing maintenance services. Conclusion: Apart from personal and contextual factors, spiritual factors influence self-transcendence. Self-transcendence can also affect nurse interactions, work safety climate, fatigue, and caring behavior. Keywords: self-transcendence, nurse, nurses' self-transcendence

Abstract

Sanitation as an indirect risk factor for stunting needs to be considered because it plays a role in influencing and minimizing the deterioration of health status due to the main factors that cause stunting: nutritional deficiencies and infectious diseases is needed. Good sanitation can be realized by implementing the STBM program according to government recommendations. This study aims to see the relationship between the implementation of STBM and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. This study uses a correlational descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique of 96 parents who have children under five in Sukamulya Village. Data analysis used the chi-square correlation test. The results showed there was no relationship between the implementation of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Whether the implementation of STBM is good or bad does not affect the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The stunting incident found in Sukamulya Village, Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency is included in the stunting event group that is not affected by the STBM implementation

Abstract

Prevention and management of COVID-19 in the elderly in Indonesia are essential. This is strongly influenced by the knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of the elderly about COVID-19. The elderly are the population most at risk due to COVID-19 transmission. This population requires health education on the prevention and impact of COVID-19 transmission. One of the interventions that can be done is through tele -nursing. This study aimed to identify the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the elderly to prevent and manage COVID-19 after tele-nursing. This research uses quantitative descriptive on 101 elderly respondents in 26 sub-districts in West Java. The instrument consists of symptoms, knowledge, attitudes and behavior of COVID-19 in respondents who were measured after tele-nursing intervention in the elderly. The analysis uses percentage and frequency distribution. The results of the representative knowledge of respondents are good; only 31.7% of respondents do not know about the 2019 COVID-19 transmission through wild animals and 24.8% when there is no fever. The representation of the respondent's behavior after tele-nursing was nine respondents did not use masks, and 33 still went to crowded places, 33 did not wash their hands after handling objects, and 34 did not avoid touching the face area. The knowledge, attitudes and behavior of respondents illustrate the government's stay-at-home campaign and tele-nursing related to the prevention of COVID 19 in the elderly. Some respondents still have not carried out maximum prevention due to situations and conditions such as the economy, signals, ownership of smartphones. Tele-nursing is one way to improve COVID-19 prevention behavior in the elderly. Further research can be carried out on the elderly by using Randomized Control Trial and qualitative studies to explore factors that influence the involvement of the elderly in the program.

Abstract

This study aims to design and analyze interventions that can be used in tuberculosis patients to improve adherence and self-management in preventing multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) events. The research method is a literature review conducted to analyze the concept of intervention in tuberculosis patients. A comprehensive literature search was carried out through an electronic database of CINAHL and PUBMED from publications from early 2020 to December 30, 2022. The results showed that interventions that could be carried out were increasing knowledge, increasing the role of medical staff in motivating and observing both through messages, text, or telephone, improving education through health promotion so that TB patients can comply with treatment, and improving self-management. Other interventions that can improve adherence to TB treatment are psychological counseling, individual education, digital-based medication monitoring (DOTS) WOT, telephone-based pill refill reminders, and medication monitoring), and peer support. In conclusion, good self-management behavior is proven to reduce the progression of diseases, including tuberculosis. Age, attitude, marital status, and home conditions influence self-management. While the knowledge factor indirectly affects self-management through mentality. Thus, knowledge and attitudes require the intervention of other parties who can mediate. This is to avoid the occurrence of Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Keywords: Intervention, Compliance, Self Management, Tuberculosis

A literature search was done by searching Pubmed, Scopus, Ebsco, and Google Scholar. The search uses Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Community Based Rehabilitation, and Quality Of Life. The results showed that most community-based mental rehabilitation could improve the quality of life for ODGJ, including schizophrenic, schizoaffective, bipolar, and psychotic. This also affects the quality of life of families/caregivers. The types of rehabilitation provided include psychoeducation and social training, balancing everyday life (BEL), self-management programs, emotional management, instilling hope, mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, physical activity training, and peer support. In conclusion, the review results can help increase the capacity of mental health programs in the community. They can be effectively applied in developing community mental health rehabilitation therapy. Keywords: Quality of Life, Severe ODGJ, Community Rehabilitation
