Abstract

The HPV vaccine has been proven effective in reducing cervical cancer. Currently, the free HPV vaccination program is accessible for 11-12-year-old girls, while those outside this age range must undergo self-funded vaccination at healthcare facilities. This quantitative cross-sectional study using Spearman Rank correlation aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, perception, and willingness to receive HPV vaccine among 190 girl students from a junior high school in Jakarta. Stratified random sampling was employed. The results showed that the average age of respondents was 13.97 years, with the majority in grade 9, parents with high school/equivalent education, income below the minimum wage, and had never received information about HPV. Spearman test results a p-value = 0.000 and r = 0.389 for the variable of knowledge and willingness to vaccinate indicating there is significant relationship, and a p-value = 0.036, r = 0.153 for the variable of perception and willingness indicating there is relationship between the two. There is a relationship between knowledge and willingness to receive HPV vaccine, as well as between perception and willingness, with both showing a positive correlation. It is hoped that the HPV vaccination program will be optimized among adolescent girls to achieve WHO target.

Abstract

Adolescents are a group at risk of HIV exposure. At this age, adolescents have a high curiosity, so if it is not followed by an attitude that cares about HIV prevention efforts, then the attitude will lead adolescents to behave at risk of HIV, such as premarital sex and injecting drug use. The study method was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using one group pre-post design. Instrument of the study was Sexual Behavioral Abstinence and Avoidance of High-Risk Situation Questionnaire (SBAHAQ). Respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The respondents watched audio-visual media (6:50 minutes) about HIV prevention. The pre-test was conducted before the intervention and the post-test was conducted 21 days after the intervention. The total number of respondents was 59 and age ranged between 15 and 18 years. The average score of HIV prevention behavior increased from 11.03 to 13.27 after the intervention with p value 0,001. Health education delivered through audio-visual media about HIV prevention can improve prevention behavior among adolescents in a high school in Tangerang Regency. Audio-visual media can be used in school learning, to make it easier for adolescents to understand HIV prevention behavior and an audio-visual media can be used to increase adolescent behavior in prevention HIV.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Many studies have been conducted on child nutrition, including its determinants. To improve understanding of child nutritional status, a bibliometric analysis of maternal micronutrient intake during pregnancy and lactation and child nutritional status was conducted. This analysis aimed to identify key trends and potential areas for future research. The bibliometric analysis was conducted using Biblioshiny software supported by "R" package version 4.2.2 environment and vos viewer. Analysis of the development of published articles shows that in recent years there has been a substantial increase in published articles related to the issue of micronutrient intake of pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children's nutritional status. The top four contributing countries are the USA, India, United Kingdom and Indonesia. Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Hasanudin University, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and National Institute of Nutrition were the top universities with the highest number of publications. The most frequently occurring keywords in the stemmed or root version were 'breastfeeding', 'pregnancy', 'nutritional status', and 'micronutrient'. Further research needs to be done that has not been widely researched and published in Scopus such as on micronutrient deficiencies in breastfeeding mothers associated with supplementary foods, food security and safety with the nutritional status of mothers, breastfeeding and nutritional status of infants. Jhons Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Universitas Hasanudin, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine dan National Institute of Nutrition merupakan top universitas dengan jumlah publikasi terbanyak.

Abstract

Background The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has greatly affected women living with HIV (WLWH).ObjectiveThis study explored the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on WLWH.MethodsThe study design was qualitative descriptive. A total of 11 WLWH participated in the study.  Data collection was conducted in four cities in Indonesia including Tangerang, Jakarta, Mojokerto, and Samarinda.  Semi-structured interviews with WLWH who actively received antiretroviral therapy (ART) for at least 6 months prior to the pandemic were conducted via telephone and face to face.  Data were analyzed using content analysis.ResultsMost of them were 35-45 years old, married, completed high school, and housewives.  Five themes emerged including perceived vulnerability and adaptive ART adherence; the economic impacts of the pandemic; spousal and peer support for art continuity; impact on daily life and well-being; resilience through faith and acceptance of “takdir” (God and Destiny).ConclusionDespite socioeconomic and psychosocial challenges, participants described maintaining ART continuity through adaptive clinic procedures, personal routines, spousal or peer support, and religious coping. These findings suggest that flexible, culturally sensitive, and family-aware nursing approaches may help support WLWH during future healthcare disruptions.KeywordsAdherence, COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia, women living with HIV
