Abstract

Rabies is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans. Rabies remains a global threat, killing around 59,000 people each year, and dogs are still the main source of transmission. The presence of dogs in the community as one of the animals most often infected with rabies is a condition that must always be watched out for, one of which is in the group of children who are at highest risk of being bitten by rabid dogs. Communication, Information, and Education (CIE) is one of the strategies used in the comprehensive approach of the rabies eradication program in Indonesia. Increasing knowledge related to rabies in children can be done through CIE that is packaged attractively without reducing the content and information conveyed. CIE with the theme "Rabies; Introduction, Prevention, and Control" was given to 45 students of SDN Medowo 3, Medowo village, Kedungkandang district, Kediri regency using the fun teaching method through material presentation and educative games. Evaluation of the results of the Rabies CIE was carried out by comparing the results of the pretest and posttest that had been filled out by the students. The method of data analysis and interpretation was carried out descriptively quantitatively through the percentage of total correct and incorrect answers to the question variables that represent the content of the CIE material that has been given and the average score of the pretest and posttest results in each class and age group. The results of the evaluation of the question variables showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of rabies material from 85.6% to 92.5% and there was an increase in the average posttest results in all groups after education. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Rabies CIE activities provided can increase elementary school students' knowledge regarding Rabies.

Abstract

Anjing merupakan salah satu Hewan Penular Rabies yang masih banyak dipelihara sebagai hewan penjaga ternak dan ditemukan secara liar di Desa Medowo, Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kabupaten Kediri, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Strategi umum pemberantasan rabies dalam upaya mewujudkan status Indonesia bebas rabies pada tahun 2030, salah satunya melalui kegiatan Komunikasi, Informasi, dan Edukasi (KIE). Kegiatan yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan KIE dengan tema “Rabies; Pengenalan, Pencegahan, dan Pengendalian Penyakit” kepada Wali Murid SD Negeri 3 Medowo Kediri melalui interpretasi data hasil pretest, posttest, dan IKM secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Data hasil kegiatan akan menyajikan kelompok responden berdasarkan usia, pendidikan terakhir, dan pekerjaan, skor pretest dan posttest, serta skor IKM. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa usia responden berada di rentan 29 - 66 tahun, pendidikan responden terdiri atas SI/Diploma, SMA, SMP, dan SD, dan pekerjaan terdiri atas IRT, peternak/petani, karyawan/buruh, dan wiraswasta. Hasil pretest dan posttest  menunjukkan adanya kenaikan rata-rata skor responden dari 70 point ketika pretest menjadi 78 point ketika posttest dengan nilai Normal Gain-Score 0.3. Peningkatan jumlah jawaban benar secara keseluruhan cakupan materi adalah 70% ketika pretest dan 78% ketika posttest dengan nilai Normal Gain-Score 0.3. Hasil survei Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat (IKM) terkait kegiatan, pemateri, dan fasilitator menunjukkan rata rata skor penilaian yang diberikan oleh responden adalah 3 dan 4 yang diinterpretasikan sebagai baik hingga sangat baik. Berdasarkan informasi diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan KIE yang dilakukan mampu meingkatkan pengetahuan terkait rabies serta mendapatkan respon kepuasan yang baik dari Masyarakat Desa Medowo, Kabupaten Kediri

Abstract

Metformin HCl is an antidiabetic drug widely used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Although its effectiveness has been proven, understanding of the impacts and side effects of Metformin HCl remains limited among students, especially those from non-health-related backgrounds. This lack of knowledge can potentially lead to misuse or careless use of the medication. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing students' understanding of the risks, side effects, and proper use of Metformin HCl as part of preventive health education. The method used involved educational outreach through simple and engaging posters, along with evaluations conducted via pre-tests and post-tests. The activity involved 20 students from various study programs at Universitas Global Jakarta. The pre-test results showed that 80% of students lacked sufficient understanding of Metformin HCl, including its function, side effects, and usage. This indicates a low level of health literacy among students, particularly those from non-health disciplines, regarding this commonly used antidiabetic medication. Following the educational session, there was a significant increase in participants’ level of understanding. The post-test results showed that 100% of students reported understanding the material presented. This improvement indicates the effectiveness of the educational method used in this community service activity. Thus, education has proven to be a strategic step in raising awareness and understanding of rational drug use among students. In conclusion, an interactive educational approach using simple visual media has been proven effective in improving student literacy regarding drug use—specifically Metformin HCl—and in fostering awareness of the importance of managing sugar intake and understanding drug side effects wisely.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat, pembuat kebijakan harus melibatkan industri dalam proses pendidikan, terutama dalam menyusun kurikulum agar kompetensi capaian selaras dengan kebutuhan. Industri juga harus bekerja sama dengan sekolah untuk mengurangi perbedaan antara kejadian di dunia nyata dengan apa yang diajarkan di sekolah. Jika perbedaan ini dikecilkan, lulusan pendidikan kejuruan akan lebih mudah terserap ke industri dan tingkat pegangguran lulusan SMK akan menurun. Dalam penulisan artikel ini, metode analisis literatur digunakan. Analisis literatur mencakup penelitian berbagai kajian ilmiah, seperti artikel ilmiah, jurnal, buku, dan kajian lainnya yang relevan dengan topik. Program kemitraan sekolah dengan industri meliputi: (1) program pembelajaran pabrik; (2) kerjasama antara industri dengan sekolah dalam bentuk pengelolaan prakerin, pengelolaan kunjungan industri, kelas industri, serta proses perekrutan tanaga kerja; dan (3) pelatihan dan pengelolaan bagi pihak berwenang yang terkait dengan ketenagakerjaan. Peran Industri dalam Pengembangan Kurikulum Pendidikan Kejuruan adalah untuk memperbarui kurikulum dan memberi siswa pemahaman tentang teknologi terbaru. Ini juga memungkinkan siswa melakukan praktik kerja langsung di industri atau melakukan magang, yang akan membantu mereka mengembangkan keterampilan kerja praktis.

Abstract

Research on evaluation instruments in Vocational High Schools (SMK) indicates a varied pattern. Nevertheless, there has been limited study and evaluation of the information provided in the research. This study seeks to examine research trends on the development of assessment instruments in SMK, based on published articles from 2019 to 2024, with a primary emphasis on the development of these instruments. The methodology employed is a literature review. This study involved a literature evaluation of 25 publications regarding developing assessment tools from various Indonesian journals, utilizing Publish or Perish and Google Scholar for data collection. The research indicated a decline in the number of studies addressing the creation of evaluation tools in vocational schools from 2019 to 2024. The R&D model is the predominant development model. Instruments for assessing knowledge are predominantly created. The creation of HOTS-based assessment tools exhibits a nearly equitable distribution. Moreover, the creation of evaluation tools predominantly lacks technological platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of ethical values in educational supervision using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with the PRISMA method. Based on the analysis of 18 selected articles published between 2018-2024, several studies were found showing that ethical values, such as fairness, responsibility and transparency, play an important role in strengthening the effectiveness of educational supervision. The application of these ethical principles contributes to improving teachers' professional competence, building healthy relationships between supervisors and supervisees and creating an inclusive learning environment. Nonetheless, some challenges were identified, including the lack of clear ethical guidelines, limited training of supervisors and technical barriers in the implementation of technology to support supervision. This study emphasizes the importance of developing ethics-based supervision policies, intensive training and adequate technological infrastructure to support effective supervision. The results of this study provide practical insights for educational practitioners and researchers to strengthen the role of ethics in improving the quality of educational supervision.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Permasalahan gizi buruk berkaitan dengan kekurangan gizi kronis, seperti stunting pada anak-anak yang mengakibatkan pertumbuhan yang terhambat. Berdasarkan data WHO tahun 2020, sekitar 149 juta (21,3%) anak di seluruh dunia mengalami stunting. Di Indonesia, berdasarkan data Riskesdas 2018, prevalensi stunting di Indonesia adalah sebesar 27,7%, atau sekitar 9 juta anak di Indonesia mengalami stunting. Berdasarkan hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) Tahun 2022, prevalensi stunting di Kota Depok sebesar 12,6%, sedangkan di Jawa Barat sendiri mencapai 24,5%. Upaya pencegahan dan intervensi, seperti program gizi, pendidikan gizi, dan dukungan pangan, menjadi kunci dalam mengatasi permasalahan gizi buruk. Pengabdian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Kader Posyandu Flamboyan tentang gizi balita dengan memanfaatkan nutrasetikal daun kelor (Moringa olifiera). Kader Posyandu Flamboyan Kelurahan Cipayung Depok diberikan edukasi tentang stunting dan pelatihan pengolahan makanan bergizi dari daun kelor sebagai solusi nutrasetikal pendukung gizi sehat dan diberikan sebagai PMT saat penyelenggaraan posyandu. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari pemberian edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang stunting dan pemenuhan gizi balita pada kader posyandu Flamboyan (sig 2-tailed<0,050). Kader Posyandu juga telah mampu membuat produk nutraseutikal daun kelor dan memberikan edukasi gizinya ke ibu-ibu yang memiliki balita di Posyandu Flamboyan. Manfaat gizi yang melimpah, ketersediaan lokal, dan kemudahan pertumbuhannya menjadikan PMT nutraseutikal Moringa oleifera sebagai alternatif bahan pangan dalam upaya mengatasi masalah stunting. Kata Kunci: Moringa Oleifera, Posyandu, Kelor, Nutrisi, Stunting, Edukasi  ABSTRACT Malnutrition issues are associated with chronic nutritional deficiencies, such as stunting in children, leading to inhibited growth. According to WHO data in 2020, approximately 149 million (21.3%) children worldwide experience stunting. In Indonesia, based on Riskesdas 2018 data, the prevalence of stunting is 27.7%, with around 9 million Indonesian children affected. According to the 2022 Indonesia Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in Depok City is 12.6%, while in West Java, it reaches 24.5%. Prevention and intervention efforts, such as nutrition programs, education, and food support, are key to addressing malnutrition issues. This community service aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Flamboyan Posyandu cadres regarding toddler nutrition by utilizing moringa (Moringa oleifera) as a nutraceutical. Flamboyan Posyandu cadres in Cipayung, Depok, were educated on stunting and trained in the preparation of nutritious food from moringa leaves as a supportive nutraceutical solution. These products were provided as supplementary feeding during posyandu activities. Conclusion: There is a significant influence of education on the level of knowledge about stunting and nutritional fulfillment for toddlers among Flamboyan Posyandu cadres (sig 2-tailed <0.050). Posyandu cadres have also successfully created moringa nutraceutical products and provided nutritional education to mothers with toddlers at Flamboyan Posyandu. The abundant nutritional benefits, local availability, and ease of cultivation make moringa oleifera nutraceutical supplementary feeding an alternative solution to address stunting issues. Keywords: Moringa oleifera, Posyandu, Moringa Leaves, Nutrition, Stunting, Education

Abstract

Perkembangan minat masyarakat Indonesia dalam memiliki hewan peliharaan sebagai teman sehari-harisemakin meningkat, terlihat dari jumlah komunitas pet lovers yang tinggi menjadi tolak ukur minatmasyarakat terhadap hewan peliharaan. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai perawatan hewanpeliharaan menjadi permasalahan utama, khususnya di pedesaan. Kegiatan KIE ini bertujuan untukmengedukasi dan memberikan akses peningkatkan pemahaman dalam menjaga kesehatan hewanpeliharaan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa dan siswi SDN Medowo 3 kelas 1-6. Kegiatan sosialisasidikemas dalam bentuk pemaparan teori dan praktik tentang perawatan hewan peliharaan, meliputi caramembersihkan mata dan telinga hewan, menyisir rambut hewan, pengenalan pakan basah dan kering,pemberian vaksin, serta pengobatan yang tepat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuansiswa dan siswi SDN Medowo 3, dinilai dari persentase hasil rata-rata posttest yang meningkat sebanyak15,16% dibanding nilai rata-rata pretest. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk kesiapan siswadan perbedaan tingkat pemahaman setiap kelas. Kata Kunci : Edukasi, Hewan peliharaan, KIE, Perawatan

Abstract

Lastly, learning the Quran has developed rapidly, especially with technology adoption. One of the interesting applications that caught my attention was Mutqinin, a digital platform intended to help people from various backgrounds learn the Quran. This article analyzes it from a corner view of functionality, effectiveness, and impact on the experience of learning the Quran. This analysis begins by looking at the features of Mutqinin, which include learning methods such as tajwid, reading the Quran, and practice and evaluation. Then, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the application is carried out based on user interactivity, ease of navigation, and the quality of the content presented. The main focus of this analysis is the effect of using Mutqinin on understanding and the ability to understand the Quran. The analysis also covers technical elements such as customer support, user data security, and platform adaptability for various devices. In addition, discussions were held regarding the development of Mutqinin, which was adjusted to user feedback. This discussion aimed to emphasize improvements and enhancements that could be made to improve the quality of learning. Hopefully, this analysis will provide a comprehensive insight into the advantages and disadvantages of the Mutqinin application in learning the Quran. The results will help develop Islamic educational technology and help users choose the Quran learning platform that best suits their needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar dasar-dasar DPIB Kelas X DPIB 1 SMK Negeri 14 Medan. Tujuan Penelitian ialah mengetahui pengaruh yang berbeda antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition dengan penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar Dasar-dasar DPIB. Metode Penelitian menggunakan Quasi Eksperimen yang menggunakan Desain Pre-test dan Post-test. Dalam Menguji hipotesis digunakan uji-t sampel independen rata-rata post-test pada taraf kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan thitung > ttabel (3,329 > 1,67155) artinya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar Dasar-dasar DPIB yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model AIR lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL siswa kelas X DPIB di SMK Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023.
