Abstract

The low literacy rate in Indonesia, especially regarding reading, hinders educational progress. Low interest in reading, especially among elementary students school, is a contributing factor. Literacy is a fundamental skill in education, including the capacity to read, write, understand, analyze, and put knowledge to use from various sources. Even the though School-Based Literacy Movement (GLS) has been implemented, there are still many challenges in fostering a reading culture among elementary school students. This study, which is an (SLR) Systematic Literature Review, investigates effective strategies for optimizing the primary elements that affect literacy success programs. Research findings show that a combination of strategy, regular evaluations, and a supportive learning environment are critical to increasing student’s reading interest and overall literacy skills. The study highlights the necessity of taking a more comprehensive approach to literacy development, involving not only schools but also parents and communities. This research aims to explore strategies to optimize GLS and increase student’s interest in reading by analyzing various approaches and interventions, which contribute to better literacy policies and practices in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter menjadi salah satu pendidikan integral yang memiliki tujuan dalam membentuk individu untuk mempunyai sikap, etika, serta beberapa nilai moral yang baik. Terdapat berbagai macam pendidikan karakter yang memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk peserta didik menjadi generasi muda yang baik, salah satunya adalah karakter disiplin peserta didik. Tujuan dari penulisan ialah menganalisis pendidikan karakter terhadap kedisiplinan siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penulisan menggunakan jenis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kedisiplinan dari peserta didik sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Kesimpulan yang diambil ialah penerapan karakter disiplin dari peserta didik dapat diterapkan melalui pendidikan karakter berdasarkan beberapa kegiatan di sekolah. Sikap disiplin dari peserta didik juga ditunjukkan melalui pengumpulan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru dengan tepat waktu serta kegiatan pembelajaran dimana siswa masuk kedalam kelas dengan kondusif dan teratur. Patuh terhadap peraturan yang berlaku juga ditunjukkan melalui mengenakan seragam yang telah ditetapkan oleh sekolah dengan rapi.Kata Kunci: karakter, kedisiplinan, sekolah dasar, siswa

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of parental involvement on students' learning outcomes, the key factors supporting parental involvement, and the challenges faced by parents. This article employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. A total of 25 relevant articles were selected after undergoing a screening process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research process includes gathering information, filtering relevant data, and analyzing the findings. The results indicate that parental involvement plays a crucial role. Supporting factors include the availability of quality time between parents and students, motivation and support provided to students, collaboration between parents and teachers, parents' educational background, family economic status, and the utilization of technology. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of fostering stronger parent-teacher partnerships to enhance student outcomes. Schools should consider implementing programs that educate parents on effective ways to support their children’s learning at home. Additionally, policymakers could prioritize providing resources and support systems for families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, enabling equitable access to tools and opportunities that facilitate parental involvement.

Abstract

Educators can utilize the development of sophisticated technology to convey learning more easily so that’s why interactive learning media is very appropriate because they support better student activities and improve student learning outcomes. This research aims to find out that the use of interactive learning media at SDI Khalifah also learning obstacle for the students when using interactive learning media. The method used was a qualitative descriptive method with triangulation techniques for testing the validity of interview data using observation techniques and literature studies. Next, the data was analyzed by using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained were interactive learning media used by educators were in the form of interesting animated learning videos and practice questions using the application Kahoot And quiziz which can improve student learning outcomes to be above average or KKM, students who can easily understand the material being studied, and students who are enthusiastic about competing in working on questions to get the highest points.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program bengkel literasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di SDN Panancangan 4. Program ini dilakukan di luar jam pelajaran biasa dan menggunakan metode bertahap, mulai dari mengenali huruf, menyusun kata, memperbanyak kosa kata, hingga membaca kalimat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program bengkel literasi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca peserta didik, terutama bagi mereka yang mengalami keterhambatan dalam membaca. Sebagian besar peserta didik menunjukkan kemajuan yang signifikan dalam setiap tahap pembelajaran, dengan peningkatan rasa percaya diri dalam membaca. Meskipun demikian, beberapa siswa masih memerlukan waktu lebih lama untuk menguasai tahapan tertentu. Program ini memberikan dampak positif tidak hanya dalam keterampilan teknis membaca, tetapi juga dalam membangun motivasi dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, program ini diharapkan dapat diperluas untuk membantu lebih banyak peserta didik dalam mengatasi kesulitan literasi di sekolah-sekolah lain.

Abstract

The ability to read comprehension is a process in which abilities or skills must be developed in order to increase students' insight with knowledge and information related to reading which will later be developed. The CIRC model is a learning method that uses plans and texts. Students work in pairs to read and summarize. The general objective of this research is to understand the process of implementing the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model to improve the reading comprehension skills of class IV students at SDN Krenceng I. This research chooses a quantitative approach with a research method, namely, quasi-experimental research. The design used by researchers in their research is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample selection in this research was 27 students in class IV of SDN Krenceng I for the 2024/2025 academic year. Pre-Test data shows that the Experiment class and Control class in literacy learning on students' reading comprehension abilities are still low. In the experimental class, the average score was 65.07 so that in this category the students were quite good at reading comprehension skills. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average score was 57.75 so that the category of students' reading comprehension ability was quite good.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out whether the Know Want Learned (KWL) strategy can improve students' interpretative reading comprehension in elementary schools. The method used is a quasi-experimental quantitative method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample for this research consisted of 25 class IV students at SDI Tahfidz Preneur Pagipon. The average value of the control class was pretest 61.2 and posttest 73.4. The experimental class was pretest 59.6 and posttest 78.4. The normality results for the control class pretest were 0.147 0.173, the control class posttest 0.153 0.173 and the experimental class pretest 0.139 0.173, the experimental class posttest 0.099 0.173. The homogeneity test results for the control and experimental class pretest scores were F count 1.774 and F table 1.983, the post test scores for the control and experimental classes were F count 1.365 and F table 1.983. The results of hypothesis testing obtained were Tcount 1.703 and Ttable 1.677 or tcount ttable, namely Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected with the results of the hypothesis reading interpretative comprehension who received the Know Want Learned (KWL) strategy treatment being better than students who received the Know strategy treatment Want to Learn (KWL). Likewise, the N-Gain results obtained by the experimental class were 0.48 with medium criteria which shows that after implementing the Know Want Learned (KWL) strategy there was an increase in students' interpretive reading comprehension in elementary schools.Keywords: Know Want Learned (KWL) Strategy, Reading ComprehensionAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah strategi Know Want Learned (KWL) dapat meningkatkan membaca pemahaman interpretatif peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Hasil uji homogenitas nilai pretest kelas kontrol dan eksperimen adalah F hitung 1,774 dan Ftabel 1,983, nilai posttest kelas kontrol dan eksperimen adalah F hitung 1,365 dan Ftabel 1,983. Adapun hasil pengujian hipotesis yang didapatkan adalah Thitung 1,703 dan Ttabel 1,677 atau t hitung t tabel yaitu Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak dengan hasil hipotesis membaca pemahaman interpretatif yang mendapatkan perlakuan strategi Know Want Learned (KWL) lebih baik dengan peserta didik yang mendapatkan perlakuan strategi Know Want Learned (KWL). Begitupun hasil N-Gain yang di dapatkan kelas eksperimen adalah adalah 0,48 dengan kriteria sedang yang menunjukkan setelah menerapkan stratgi Know Want Learned (KWL) adanya peningkatan membaca pemahaman interpretatif peserta didik di sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: Strategi Know Want Learned (KWL), Membaca Pemahaman
