Abstract

This research was purposed to describe the pedagogical, professional, personal, and social competences of Junior High Madrasah Arabic language teachers, the graduates of Department of Arabic Education (DAE) FITK based on the perspective of the school principals, colleagues, and students in MGMP Madrasah Cooperation Group (KKM)of South Tangerang city. The quantitative approach was applied with descriptive qualitative method. The data of the research were obtained from interview, observation, and document research related to the analysis in comprehensive way. The populations were involving the junior high madrasah Arabic language teachers, the graduates of DAE FITK UIN Jakarta in MGMP KKM South Tangerang with the certified teachers as the samples. The result showed that the teachers have pedagogical, professional, personal, and social competences within good/high categorized besides having strengths and weaknesses in certain aspects.DOI: 10.15408/a.v3i2.4163

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the professional competence of Arabic language teachers of MAN Jakarta,  in the aspects of the content of Arabic Skills, as well as their professional competence according to the Principal of MAN,  colleagues and the assessment of students.  Data collection techniques used were: questionnaire,  interview,  observation,  analysis of content/documents,  test,  and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results showed that the professional competence of the teachers on the mastery of the material were on the category of "less".  This was supported by the average score of the test results of their Arabic language i. e.,  52. 23.  While professional competence based on assessment of Principal was "good/high" with the average score of 4. 6,  the perspective of colleagues was "good/high” (average score 4).  Based on students’ perspective, the professional competency of the Arabic language teacher at MAN Jakarta was "excellent/very high" with the average score of 90.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to get empirical evidence whether is a significant difference score for the class which is taught by applying cooperative learning study in studying nahw. This study categorized as an experimental study in quantitative research. Experimental class is taught by applying cooperative learning while the control class is taught by using conventional method. The data is collected by giving test for experimental class and control class. The result at the study shows that experimental class which is taught by applying cooperative learning get higher score 82,2. Therefore the conventional class gat lower score 74,1. It seems that studying nahw by applying cooperative learning is effective.DOI: 10.15408/a.v2i1.1518

Abstract

This study aims to examine the direct effect of the relationship between asset structure, growth, company size and business risk on the capital structure of transportation companies, as well as the indirect effect of asset structure, growth, company size and business risk on company performance through capital structure as an intervening variable. Population are companies in the Transportation industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015-2019. From this population, 145 samples from 29 transportation companies were selected as the target population, all of which became the research sample. The research method used is panel data regression. The test results reveal that the asset structure, growth and company size have a positive effect on the capital structure of the Transportation sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period. Meanwhile, business risk does not have a positive influence on the capital structure of transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. In addition, in this study, the variables of asset structure, growth, business risk were positively related to the company's performance, while the variable of company size had no positive effect on the company's performance. Furthermore, the capital structure variable has a positive effect on company performance, the capital structure variable as an intervening variable explains that capital structure has no effect in intervening between growth and company business risk on company performance. While the asset structure variable and company size on company performance with capital structure as an intervening variable explains that capital structure has a significant effect in intervening between asset structure, company size and financial performance in transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the level of compatibility of Arabic language textbooks at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta with the general purpose of learning Arabic. This research is a descriptive  and non-interactive study. The research method used is the content analysis, because in this study the contents of the textbooks in Arabic was analyzed The results of the study show that in general the books evaluated have been good and decent enough to be used as book dars, except that there needs to be an adjustment in terms of material content. In terms of the completeness, breadth and depth of the material, it appears that the book al-arabiyyah bi annamadziz, al-arabiyyah li tullabil jamiah, and the Arabic language of the Quran, make Arabic material complete, detailed, and profound which is gradually adjusted to the level of marhalah. In terms of material accuracy, these books contain grammatical and accurate terms In terms of the latest material, the book a al-arabiyyah bi annamadziz is considered not up-to-date.

Abstract

Diversity and plurality are closely related fact with Indonesia. This plural society may generate two potential social conditions: harmonization and social conflicts. This study supports Talcott Parson’s Structural-Functional Theory that a good social system in a society, both structural and functional, could preserve harmonization between religions. This study aims to explore a socio-religious condition in Kampung Sawah Bekasi and Cigugur village by analyzing kinds of harmonization and religious living tolerance within the community and exploring each leader's effort to improve the harmonization and tolerance of religious living in a plural society. This study also used a phenomenologist qualitative method which used interviews, observation and documentation as data-gathering techniques. The research found that the harmonization and tolerance of Kampung Sawah Bekasi and Cibubur village community in religious living prevails with three main assets. They are social, cultural, and kinship. These harmonizations and tolerance of the community religious living in both places manifest in their good relationship, high social intimacy, tight brotherhood, high empathy, and helping each other because of kinship. It is also because of the efforts and the active role within the community from all levels, the community, the regional government and local figures. The role of religious leaders also enhanced these harmonizations and tolerance in both places in West Java as the controller, leader, facilitator and motivator. They helped each other to prioritize unity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Arabic language learning model based on the Sharf Serap Nalar Ibadah (SSNI) approach to improve the understanding of Quranic Arabic (BAQ) for learning citizens. This study also tested its validity, feasibility, and effectiveness. This research is a research and development (R&D) type with the ADDIE model. The research data source consisted of qualitative data in the form of interviews with experts in the field of Arabic learning materials and design, 3 instructors, 18 learning residents, and 2 BAQ alumni, in addition to the results of the analysis of BAQ learning documents. The qualitative data were analyzed using the Spradley model. While quantitative data is in the form of questionnaires from experts, instructors, learning residents, and BAQ learning outcomes which are analyzed using a Likert scale and descriptive statistics. The research findings show that the Arabic language learning model is based on the approach Sharf Absorption of Worship Reason (SSNI) very valid, feasible to use, and effectively increases understanding of mufradât BAQ in various word forms (sharfî) and sentence structures (nahwi) in order to understand the meaning and translation of the verses of the Al-Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet SAW., understand the readings of daily prayers and prayers, so that they can be more solemn in worship, accompanied by learning fun with the average value of the experimental class reaching 82.2 and the control class value of 73.6 with a difference in the value of 8.4, and the accumulated value or practicality average of 84.92% (practical category).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of "Sequencing Stories" as a medium of language games in improving the reading ability of MA AnnuqayahSumenep students. This type of research is quantitative, using a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. The sample of this study amounted to thirty first-grade students. Data analysis was performed using paired sample T-Test. The results of this study indicate: (1) The procedure for applying the language game media "Sequencing Stories" consists of opening, core, and closing activities. Learning is carried out three times: delivery of vocabulary, reading, and practice. (2) The T-Test results show that the T-Count value is higher than the T-Table value. This shows that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted, and the game is quite effective. This study's findings indicate that using the Sequencing Stories language game effectively improves students' reading skills. Keywords: Language Learning Media, Story Sequence Games, Reading Skills ملخص تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد فاعلية استخدام "تركيب القصة" كوسيلة للعبة اللغوية لترقية مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة مدرسة النقاية الثانوية الإسلامية سومنب. هذا النوع من البحث الكمي باستخدام تصميم ما قبل التجربة مع مجموعة واحدة قبل الاختبار وبعد الاختبار. بلغت عينة هذه الدراسة ثلاثين طالبا في الصف الأول. وتم إجراء تحليل البيانات باستخدام اختبار "ت" للعينة المزدوجة. تشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن: (1) إجراء تطبيق لعبة اللغة "تركيب القصة" يتكون من الأنشطة الافتتاحية والأساسية والختامية. ويتم عملية التعليم بثلاثة لقاءات وهي: توصيل المفردات، والقراءة، والتدريبات. (2) نتائج اختبار "ت" من النتيجة الحسابية أكبر من النتيجة الجدولية، هذا يدل على أن الفرضية البديلة (H1) مقبولة، وأن اللعبة فعالة للغاية. والحاصل إن نتائج هذه الدراسة تقول بأن استخدام لعبة "تركيب القصة" يحفز الطلبة على تعزيز تفاعلهم ومشاركتهم في عملية التعليم والتعلم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فقد أظهرت الدراسة فعالية هذه اللعبة في تعزيز كفاءة الطلبة في مهارة القراءة بشكل ملحوظ الكلمات المفتاحية: الوسائل التعليمية اللغوية، لعبة تركيب القصة، مهارة القراءة

Abstract

The challenges of the 21st century and the start of the 4.0 era change the face of education to be more competitive, demanding educators to be more innovative and creative in designing learning. In facing these conditions, it is necessary to equip students with critical thinking skills emphasizing the use of technology in learning. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media for moral akidah based on Google Sites in fostering critical thinking skills of seventh-grade MTs students on the material of riya’ and nifaq. This type of research is the Research and Development model Borg and Gall with data collection techniques of interviews, observations, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique for qualitative data is the Milles and Huberman model, while the independent samples t-test and N-Gain calculation are used on quantitative data. The development results are very good and representative of fostering students’ critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by the assessment of material experts with a percentage of 91.2%, the assessment of media experts shows a percentage of 98.4%, and the assessment of moral creed subject teachers with a percentage of 100%. The effectiveness of google sites learning media can be observed from the results of the independent samples t-test test with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 with a comparison of the t_hit value of 4.869> 1.671 t_tab which means H_0 is rejected, and H_1 is accepted. The increase in students’ critical thinking skills can be seen in the calculation of N-Gain = 0.4178 with a “moderate” improvement category.
