Abstract

This study aims to describe how BOS funds can improve educational quality in Indonesia, with a particular focus on developing facilities and infrastructure in schools to enhance student learning. To achieve these objectives, a literature review research method was employed, namely the study of the concepts and theories used based on the available literature. The results of the literature review demonstrate that the optimal implementation of the eight education standards through BOS funding is conducive to realizing the advancement and enhancement of educational quality in academic institutions. The improvement of educational quality in schools must include the development of the eight standards, and the operationalization of these standards is contingent upon financial resources. This study also examined how schools utilize government assistance funds, including their allocation for the fulfillment of these needs. Thus, BOS funds have a pivotal, strategic, and contributory role in the seamless and efficacious implementation and enhancement of educational quality.

Abstract

The field of religious education has a pivotal function in the molding of students' character, morality, and ethical frameworks. Additionally, it facilitates an intimate grasp of the tenets and values espoused by various belief systems. The efficacy of teaching methods in education can have a notable impact on students' academic performance. Nevertheless, no research has been conducted at SDN Bhakti Karya to assess the impact of teaching methods in PAI on students' academic achievement. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of instructional approaches in Religious Education on students' academic performance at SDN Bhakti Karya. A qualitative approach was employed, whereby data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that effective teaching methods in Religious Education have a beneficial impact on students' academic achievement. Instructional methods that facilitate active engagement, the utilization of multimedia resources, group discussions, and the application of hands-on activities to comprehend religious concepts facilitate enhanced comprehension and the development of academic skills. Factors that facilitate the implementation of teaching methods include the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as the training and development of competencies among teachers. However, obstacles such as time constraints and a curriculum that restricts the variety of teaching methods must also be addressed. In order to enhance students' academic performance, it is essential to reinforce facilities and infrastructure support, enhance teacher training, and assess the necessity and flexibility of the curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the infrastructure needs in East Tanjung Jabung and identify efficient budgeting strategies in meeting the needs of the community. With a mixed-methods approach, the survey was conducted to understand the community's infrastructure priorities, while the analysis of regional financial documents was used to evaluate the effectiveness of budget allocation. The results of the study show that road access, sanitation, and health facilities are the main needs, but budget limitations and uneven distribution hinder the fulfillment of these needs. The findings also show that the budget is still largely allocated to short-term projects that are less strategic in the long term. Based on these results, it is recommended that the government implement needs-based budgeting that focuses on priority areas and involves the community in the planning process. This approach allows for more efficient, effective, and sustainable infrastructure development, thereby reducing inequality and improving community welfare

Abstract

The research aimed to test the blended learning model in Indonesian higher education. To this end, a qualitative approach was adopted, employing a case study method to collect data. This method included in-depth interviews, observations, and a thorough document analysis. This research found that blended learning improves flexibility, engagement, and effectiveness. However, this improvement depends on two key elements. First, a good tech infrastructure. Second, lecturers skilled in using tech tools. We must, however, recognize obstacles that limit this approach's full potential. Impediments include, but are not limited to, disparities in internet access and a lack of training for lecturers to use technology. This study's insights can guide effective blended learning in higher education.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping democratic character in students, especially within madrasahs. Democratic character, which encompasses values such as freedom of expression, deliberation, equality, and social responsibility, is essential for developing individuals capable of active participation in community life. Madrasahs, as institutions integrating religious and general education, hold a strategic role in instilling these characteristics. An integrative learning approach, particularly in science subjects, proves effective in internalizing democratic values. Instruction involving discussion, collaboration, and problem-solving enables students to think critically, appreciate differing opinions, and collaborate in decision-making. Additionally, extracurricular activities serve as an important means for students to practice democratic values. However, implementing democratic character in madrasahs faces challenges, such as students' diverse backgrounds and limited facilities. Therefore, there is a need for continuous improvement in teacher training and facility enhancement to ensure more effective democratic education.
