Abstract

Introduction. The three main aspects to improve literacy movement are family, school, and society. Using social media could be useful to improve literacy as many reading materials can be accessed and freely available. However, the content should be selected to prevent from unexpected materials. Data Collection Method. Data obtained through observations of 100 participants in the development of community literacy movement. They were religious education community (pesantren) with professions such as, teachers, education staffs and students’ representatives from two levels of education within the reading village frameworks in Tanjungmekar village, Tanjungkerta, Sumedang. Analysis Data. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage studies, and describing the results of observations. Result and Discussions. The community accesses reading material dominant using printed material, reading assignment and communication through social media have not done as expected. In general, the activities of fostering literacy in the religious education community require patterns that are in accordance with time, motivation, access, technological devices, various social media to foster literacy readiness. Conclusions. Alternative use of social media is expected be able to support community movement to build the literate village.

Abstract

In the 21st century, continuous innovation and adaptation in every component of learning is required in education, both in the competency component, material content, strategy and media, as well as its evaluation. This study emphasized the development of an electronic or digital module in the information behavior course, it is one of the courses regarding the characteristics of the student activity level that accommodates information retrieval and strives to use appropriate information. The e-module design is developed utilize the 4D model by define, design, develop and disseminate. The participants of this research involved media experts, material experts and students of the Library and Information Science study program at two universities, which are are Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Universitas Negeri Malang, there are 20 people in total who used e-modules in limited dissemination on information behavior course. This research revealed the electronic module in the course, the emphasis of the module content design which is enriched with digital-based information sources or in another word called as hyper content that becomes a differentiator in presenting the module content, coupled with the power of audio and visual media or called as screencast. Through this research, lecturers able to prepare independent learning materials by utilizing digital technology.

Abstract

The Ministry o Education and Culture Library s a special library  as a deposit center that performs the fungtions of  collecting and storing all publications form and about its parent institution. Until 2016, the Ministry of Education an Culture had not yet devoleped a systematically integrated and managed information/database system of internal collection so as to dissaminete public information to the public. The development program that can be carried out so as to build and integrsted information/database system of internal collection is the development of institutional  repository. The development of this institusi  institusional repository aims to collect, store, manage, preserve and dissaminete the institution’s internal publications. Institution’s public documents as well as intellectual properties and researches, all in electronik form, produced bay the ministry human resources, as a unit within the  institution, has a reponsibility an plays a key role in building  this institutional repository. Library is a unit that performs teh functians of collecting, storing, managing, perserving and dissamminating institution’s  intellectual properties. Librarians will properly  manage the development  of the institutional repository are as follows : 1) Library data in the ministry has been updated using  the ministry library directory application. A total of 96 libraries within the ministry have submitted their data to the library directory application; 2) The types of internal collections within the Ministry have been mapped and become material in preparation of the institutional repository policy of the ministry; 3) The institutional repository policy of the Ministry has been prepared and is expected to be a guide for parties involved in the operational activities of institutional repository; 4) The institutional repository of the Ministry has been instaled and can be accessed on the website http://repository.perpustakaan.kemdikbud.go.id: 5) The form letters of printed and Recorded Works (Publications) Handover Obligation of the Ministry; 6) The web research engine which is integrated between institutional repository and library automation system can be accessed throught the Ministry page at http://perpustakaan.kemdikbud.go.id

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang terjadi saat ini menjadikan semua lebih mudah karena adanya website yang dapat dimanfaatkan pada proses administrasi. Layanan suatu sistem informasi kearsipan berbasis website perlu dilakukan pengukuran atau evaluasi untuk mengidentifikasi kualitas website yang telah digunakan. Dalam penelitian ini, kualitas website Sistem Informasi Kearsipan Dinamis (SIKD) diukur dengan menggunakan metode WebQual 4.0 yang merupakan suatu indikator yang digunakan sebagai dasar penilaian kualitas website berdasarkan persepsi pengguna akhir. Penelitian ini memiliki populasi yaitu mahasiswa program studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling sehingga terhitung 77 mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode action research dengan pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas website SIKD yang digunakan oleh pegawai UPI untuk memudahkan dalam kegiatan birokrasi dan/atau interaksi pengelolaan arsip dinamis. Hasil dari penelitian berdasarkan tiga aspek, yaitu usability (kegunaan), information quality (kualitas informasi), service interaction quality (kualitas interaksi dan layanan) website SIKD UPI berada pada kategori baik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa SIKD yang digunakan pada proses administrasi di UPI memiliki kualitas yang baik, tetapi perlu ditingkatkan sehingga dapat berfungsi dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Growing the character of love traditional culture needs to be done from the early age, in the midst of the development of technology and the global culture which have allegedly shifted traditional culture. Learning activities at primary education must provide easy access to continue to love and realize the ownership of the wealth of traditional culture, which can be pursued through the use of technology. The problems of this research are, first, whether techers could determine the subject, basic competencies, and indicators that taught about literary works to introduce culture and character; and second, what learning media was widely used by teachers in teaching literary works especially folklore. An online survey was conducted on 15 teachers teaching at primary level in West Java Province, which include  Majalengka, Tasikmalaya, Garut, Ciamis, Cirebon, West Bandung, Bandung, and Sukabumi regions. This research found that first, basic competencies indicators for folklore materials in the curriculum of Bahasa Indonesia subject at elementary school/madrasa had already been included at every grade level. Second, the basic competencies were included in Bahasa Indonesia, English, Sundanese, and Cultural Arts subjects at junior secondary level. Third,  the learning media supporting folklore consisted of digital media (46.7%) and printed media (86.7%) which indicated that the learning media that was often accessed for the achievement of basic competencies at each grade level to cultivate the character of love Indonesian culture was printed media.

Abstract

The Information technology media that can quickly provide information about educational terms make it more difficult for people to learn. The absence of supporting media makes it increasingly difficult for people to learn terms and obtain information about the scientific language of terms quickly and accurately. This study aims to analyze the usability and ease of web-based pedagogiadic applications as learning resources. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. The subjects in this study were students of the library and information science study program using web-based pedagogiadic applications with a total of 90 people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, and data analysis techniques used path analysis. The results of the research being done were there are two things that affect the use of web-based pedagogiadic applications as learning resources. The perceived usefulness of web-based pedagogiadic applications provides benefits for themselves or individuals to use the application as a learning resource. Perceived ease of use, web-based pedagogiadic applications that are easy to use have an influence on individuals to use these applications in supporting teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 membawa perubahan dalam bidang pendidikan di Indonesia. Pembelajaran yang semula menggunakan modus konvensional, saat ini beralih menggunakan modus pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ), salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan video conference Zoom Cloud Meeting. Artikel ini bertujuan menggambarkan efektifitas Zoom Cloud Meeting dalam PJJ. Menggunakan metode studi pustaka, studi ini menggambarkan bagaimana fitur-fitur yang tersedia pada aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting mendukung untuk melakukan kegaiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Selain itu, Zoom Cloud Meeting cenderung efektif untuk pembelajaran non-praktik dan bagi peserta didik dengan gaya belajar audio dan visual.

Abstract

Memfungsikan sumber belajar pada level pendidikan tinggi, menjadi salah satu prioritas kegiatan yang perlu dilakukan semasa terjadi kebencanaan yang melanda seluruh dunia saat ini. Sivitas akademik yang harus belajar di rumah dan bekerja dari rumah untuk memerangi penyebaran virus corona-19 ini, memerlukan seluruh akses yang tetap harus berjalan dan dapat memberikan layanan informasi bahan-bahan, koleksi digital yang tepat, sesuai kebutuhan. Akses terhadap layanan langsung tidak dapat diberikan kepada pemustaka untuk meminjam dan membaca ditempat, bahkan pengembalian koleksi tercetak pun tidak dapat dilakukan. Melalui survey yang diselenggarakan dalam kurun waktu satu minggu, dimulai dari tanggal 13 April 2020 sampai dengan 17 april 2020, Perpustakaan UPI menyebarkan kuisioner daring untuk mengukur seberapa besar layanan dalam jejaring dimanfaatkan oleh pemustaka, serta memberikan deskripsi gambaran kecenderungan layanan dalam jejaring apa saja yang diakses oleh pemustaka, dan terakhir mengidentifikasi kebutuhan layanan daring apa yang belum tersedia di Perpustakaan UPI. Diperoleh 100 orang pemustaka melalui sampel insidental, dari pemustaka yang menggunakan email dan instragram. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah 56% responden mengakses sumber informasi layanan daring perpustakaan dari website perpustakaan.upi.edu dengan persepsi pemustaka pada layanan daring perpustakaan UPI sebanyak 53% menyatakan optimal. Sebanyak 52% kesan umum pemustaka menyatakan baik dan layanan daring yang paling dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka adalah layanan repository sebanyak 80% pemustaka menyatakan layanan daring ini dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh pemustaka, lalu kesan umum mengenai ketuntasan dalam aktivitas layanan daring yang disediakan oleh perpustakaan ini menunjukan 63% selesai dalam waktu yang dijanjikan dan layanan dari ini dinyatakan oleh 93% responden sesuai dengan panduan. Dibutuhkan bentuk sosialisasi dan pengembangan program berbasis teknologi informasi untuk mendukung setiap bentuk kebutuhan pemustaka khususnya, untuk memfasilitasi akses yang belum terfasilitasi secara optimal. Utamanya Perpustakaan UPI telah memberikan berbagai layanan dalam jejaring yang terus diupayakan menjadi sumber informasi dalam membantu pembelajaran secara optimal dalam masa kebencanaan COVID-19 ini.

Abstract

Background of the study: Literacy is an activity that can improve one's abilities and skills in terms of thinking capability and understanding information more skillfully. Literacy can increase reading interest. Something that can develop this is the existence of a school literacy movement that is aimed especially at students to be able to expand a school literacy culture. Purpose: This research aims to find out how to implement and evaluate student literacy activities at Alfa Centauri High School. Method: The methods used are descriptive qualitative methods with the ADDIE instructional design model. The technique of data collection used was an interview. The informant in this study was the leader of the Alfa Centauri High School literacy team. Findings: The results obtained are SMA Alfa Centauri implements literacy activities through three stages reading activities and creative writing activities. Conclusion: SMA Alfa Centauri is considered to have been able to implement literacy activities well and effectively in increasing students' reading interests. That can be visible from the program development, product results, and achievement in the implemented programs.
