Abstract

Pedagogic competence is one of the most important competencies that teachers must have because it is directly related to the ability to manage learning effectively. In Indonesia, this competency still needs to be improved, especially in terms of teacher motivation to develop themselves through training in order to create quality education that is oriented towards the future of students. This study aims to identify the gap between actual performance and desired performance of teachers in developing pedagogical competence, especially in the preparation of teaching modules based on didactical situation analysis. The approach used was a mixed-methods study with an unbalanced convergent model. Data were collected through interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires, then analyzed separately and compared. The results show that teachers still tend to fulfill administrative aspects in preparing teaching modules without considering the characteristics of students and the complexity of the material. Therefore, special training is needed so that teachers are able to optimally improve pedagogical competence through didactical situation analysis.

Abstract

Anti-corruption education (ACC) has become an important part of the national education system in both Indonesia and South Korea, with the aim of building a generation with morality and integrity. This study aims to compare the PAK curriculum integrated in moral or character education in the two countries, by examining the education system, cultural background, values promoted, curriculum, learning methods, and pedagogical innovations that contribute to the integrity of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature-based comparative study method, analyzing official government documents, academic journals and previous research. The analysis method refers to the Comparative Education Research Center (CERC) framework which includes education system, culture, values, curriculum and pedagogical innovation. The results show that moral education in South Korea has been a mandatory part since 1973, with the integration of anti-corruption values supported by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC). Meanwhile, in Indonesia, character education based on Pancasila values has been implemented since the beginning of independence and developed until the Independent Curriculum era with the support of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Both countries use a project-based approach and intersectoral collaboration in the implementation of PAK, with pedagogical innovations tailored to the local context. Integrating anti-corruption values into the education system has proven to be an effective strategy in building a generation with integrity.

Abstract

Abstract

The German vocational education system has developed steadily over centuries and is recognized as a global reference in providing vocational education. This study compares the agricultural curriculum with agronomy concentration in vocational high schools in Indonesia with the vocational education system in Germany. The study is expected to be able to offer strategic recommendations for the development of agricultural vocational education in Indonesia, provide strategic insights for the development of a more relevant agricultural vocational high school curriculum, and be able to create promising career opportunities in agriculture. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis design on the documents that are the primary analysis sources. The results show that Germany excels in integrating theory, practice, technology, and industry involvement through an intensive Duale Ausbildung system. The longer duration of education and the use of advanced technologies such as smart farming make Germany more prepared to face the industrial era 4.0. In contrast, Indonesia is starting to move towards innovation with a project-based learning approach, but industry involvement and recognition of competency certification are still limited. The study's conclusion shows that although the Indonesian agronomy curriculum has approached international standards, strengthening industrial partnerships, modern technology, and global certification recognition need to be improved to increase the competitiveness of graduates in the global market.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development and application of micro-credentials (MCs) as an alternative, competency-based learning model increasingly adopted in higher education and industry. Micro-credentials represent an alternative, competency-based learning model increasingly adopted in higher education and industry. The method used is a combination of a systematic literature review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis, designed to examine research trends, learning models, curriculum structures, and skill areas associated with micro-credentials. Data from 482 documents indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) from 2008 to 2023 were analyzed. The findings reveal a growing global interest in MCs, particularly in digital, information, and technical skills fields. The bibliometric analysis highlights the United States as the leading country in micro-credentials research, followed by Australia and the United Kingdom. The thematic analysis identifies four primary learning models used in micro-credentials: Project-Based Learning (PBL), Self-Directed Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Game-Based Learning. Additionally, micro-credentials curriculum structures often adopt modular, blended, and online formats to offer flexible, accessible learning pathways. Industry engagement is critical in MC, ensuring curriculum relevance to workforce needs through collaborations that define skill requirements, offer internships, and co-develop assessments. Micro-credentials evaluation methods focus on competency-based assessments, including portfolios and direct performance evaluations, providing practical evidence of learners’ skills and readiness for professional roles. The implication of this study is to provide a structured foundation for institutions and policymakers to design more effective, standardized, and industry-aligned micro-credential programs, while encouraging further research on long-term outcomes, transferability, and recognition across education and labor systems.
