Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang profil penyelesaian soal geometri analitik datar mahasiswa Camper Berdasarkan Gaya Kognitif Pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Tadulako. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang didasarkan pada kategori Adversity Quotient dan Gaya Kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil Penyelesaian Soal Geometri Analitik Datar Mahasiswa AQ Camper bergaya Kognitif Field Independent (FI) belum bisa menyelesaikan Soal dengan sempurna. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa pada penyelesaian Soal tes Geometri Analitik Datar Mahasiswa menuliskan dan menyebutkan apa yang di butuhkan untuk menyelesaikan soal tanpa terpengaruh dengan lingkungan sekitarnya serta cenderung memerhatikan sesuatu langkah demi langkah atau bagian perbagian bekerja dengan terstruktur walaupun belum dapat menyelesaikan soal dengan sempurna. profil Penyelesaian Soal Geometri Analitik Datar Mahasiswa AQ Camper bergaya Kognitif Field Independent (FI) juga belum bisa menyelesaikan Soal dengan sempurna. Berdasarkan hasil analisis di atas disimpulkan bahwa pada penyelesaian Soal tes Geometri Analitik Datar Mahasiswa menuliskan informasi yang ada pada tes soal namun belum dapat menyebutkan apa yang di butuhkan untuk menyelesaikan soal dan masih terpengaruh dengan lingkungan sekitarnya serta belum bisa memerhatikan sesuatu langkah demi langkah atau bagian perbagian bekerja belum terstruktur dan belum dapat menyelesaikan soal dengan sempurna.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan profil pemahaman siswa Sekolah Dasar terkait konsep Segiempat dengan mengacu pada delapan tahapan perkembangan pemahaman seseorang yang dikemukakan dalam Teori Pirie Kieren, yaitu: 1) Primitive Knowing; 2) Image Having; 3) Image Making; 4) Property Noticing; 5) Formalising; 6) Observing; 7) Structuring; dan 8) Inventising. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV SD, dengan melibatkan siswa laki-laki dan perempuan sebagai subjek. Kedua kelompok siswa tersebut dipilih karena memiliki kemampuan matematika yang relatif setara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang didasarkan pada teori Pirie dan Kieren yang dilaksanakan dengan mengggunakan triangulasi waktu. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa, sesuai dengan teori Pirie Kieren, antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan terdapat perbedaan dalam pemahaman konsep segiempat. Dari hasil analisis, disimpulkan bahwa siswa laki-laki mampu mencapai tingkat formalising hingga pada tahap penerapan metode (method applying) dan pembenaran metode (method justifying). Sementara itu, siswa perempuan juga mencapai tingkat formalising, namun hanya sampai pada tahap penerapan metode (method applying). Sehingga kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh terkait pemahaman konsep segiempat adalah bahwa meskipun terdapat perbedaan dalam pencapaian tahap metode tersebut baik siswa laki-laki maupun perempuan berada pada level formalising

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan Siswa MA. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu dalam menyelesaikan soal Integral berdasarkan teori APOS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah satu orang siswa kelas XI MIA MA. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu yang berkemampuan matematika tinggi dan satu orang siswa kelas XI MIA MA. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu yang berkemampuan matematika rendah. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara metode tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi, yaitu FZ dalam menyelesaikan soal integral berdasarkan kriteria ketercapaian APOS mampu mencapai aksi, proses, objek, dan skema. Siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah, yaitu NS dalam menyelesaikan soal integral berdasarkan kriteria ketercapaian APOS belum mampu mencapai aksi, proses, objek, maupun skema. Kata Kunci: Profil, Integral, Teori APOS Abstract: This study aims to obtain a description of the ability of MA students. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu in solving Integral questions based on APOS theory. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this study was one class XI MIA MA student. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu which has high mathematical abilities and one student in class XI MIA MA. Alkhairaat Pusat Palu which has low mathematical abilities. Data was collected by means of test and interview methods. The results of this study indicate that students with high mathematical abilities, namely FZ in completing integral questions based on APOS achievement criteria are able to achieve actions, processes, objects, and schemes. Students with low mathematical abilities, namely NS in completing integral questions based on APOS achievement criteria have not been able to achieve actions, processes, objects, and schemes. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by the Quizizz platform on improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics. The research was conducted in Grade IV at SD Inpres 2 Besusu using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest-posttest method. The evaluation instruments consisted of 12 validated and reliable questions, including 8 multiple-choice items (Cronbach's alpha = 0.772) and 4 essay items (Cronbach's alpha = 0.833). The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes after the application of the GBL model with Quizizz. Paired sample t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.001 < 0.05). The N-Gain score reached an average of 0.6389, which falls into the moderate category. These findings suggest that integrating game elements through Quizizz creates an engaging and interactive learning environment, enhancing students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The GBL model not only fosters motivation but also directly improves students' cognitive performance. Therefore, the model is recommended as an effective and innovative instructional strategy in primary school mathematics education.

Abstract

The existence of SBM in schools makes the role of the principal very important in developing and advancing educational institutions, education personnel, and their outputs. This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in implementing School-Based Management (SBM). This research design uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research, this research is descriptive, where researchers will go directly to the field as the main instrument to observe, interview, and document data relevant to the implementation of MBS by school principals as leaders of basic education institutions. Based on the results of research conducted at SD Inpres 1 Tondo, the principal has a very strategic role in implementing School-Based Management (SBM), especially through the realization of key functions such as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator. The implementation of these roles is carried out not only in a formal context, but also in flexible and adaptive approaches according to the internal conditions of the school.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information related to the factors of students' difficulty in understanding basic mathematical concepts in grade IV students of SDN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. This research was conducted on Classroom Teachers in grade IV. The method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques through interviews with classroom teachers and related literature studies carried out using source triangulation. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the difficulty factor for students in understanding basic mathematical concepts was caused by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include low motivation to learn and lack of mastery of prerequisite concepts, as well as external factors including less varied learning methods and limited learning time

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics multiplication material for second-grade students at SD GKST Talabosa using concrete learning media. The study involved 12 students, consisting of 9 male students and 3 female students, and employed a classroom action research method with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The concrete media used were stick pieces and straws. In the first cycle, the results showed 75% classical completeness and an average score of 88.33%, with 9 students achieving the competency standard and 3 students not yet achieving it, with the lowest score being 65 and the highest score being 97.5. Based on these findings, adjustments and improvements were made for the second cycle. In the second cycle, all students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, with the lowest score being 97.5 and the highest score being 100, and an average score of 99.79%. Based on the research conducted in cycles I and II, it shows that the use of concrete media in mathematics learning for second-grade students at SD GKST Talabosa can improve student learning outcomes.   Keywords: Learning Outcomes, learning media, Concrete Learning Media, Mathematics Learning, Multiplication

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Snakes and Ladders learning media on the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SDN 1 Kolaka. This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques were carried out through the administration of a pretest, treatment using the Snakes and Ladders media, and a posttest. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had been tested for validity and reliability using IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The number of subjects in this study was 14 students. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pretest score was 55, and the average posttest score was 85.36. The N-gain test results showed an increase in score of 0.7028, which falls into the high category, with a percentage of 70.28% categorized as fairly effective. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed. Hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that there is a significant effect of using the Snakes and Ladders learning media on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the Snakes and Ladders learning media is effective and can affect the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SDN 1 Kolaka.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Crossword Puzzle learning media on students’ learning outcomes in the IPAS subject for fourth-grade students at SD Karuna Dipa Palu. This research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 17 students. Data were collected through observation and a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 items. The test instrument was validated using Pearson correlation analysis and its reliability was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha, yielding a score of 0.920, which indicates a highly reliable instrument. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the N-Gain test, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results showed an increase in the average score from 62.59 in the pretest to 83.06 in the posttest. The N-Gain score of 0.6055 falls into the moderate category, indicating that the Crossword Puzzle media is fairly effective. The result of the Paired Sample T-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which led to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ), indicating that the use of Crossword Puzzle in classroom learning has a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. It can therefore be concluded that the use of this medium is effective in improving learning outcomes in IPAS and can be recommended as an interactive and enjoyable alternative learning media for elementary school students.

Abstract

Effective alignment between instructional media and student learning styles represents a critical challenge in elementary education, yet limited empirical evidence exists regarding systematic teacher strategies for implementing such alignment in classroom practice. This descriptive qualitative study investigated teacher strategies for aligning instructional media with Grade 4 student learning styles at SD Inpres 1 Tondo, Palu, Indonesia. Data were collected from 24 students and one classroom teacher through VARK-based questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, systematic classroom observations, and document analysis. Learning style distributions were analyzed descriptively, while teacher strategies and implementation effectiveness were examined using thematic analysis following Miles and Huberman's framework. Visual learners comprised 58.3% of students, followed by combined visual-auditory preferences (16.7%), auditory learners (12.5%), multimodal learners (8.3%), and kinesthetic learners (4.2%). Three primary teacher strategies emerged: comprehensive diagnostic assessment of learning styles, systematic integration of multimodal media (projectors, textbooks, environmental resources), and adaptive content delivery based on subject matter and student responses. Classroom observations revealed that multimodal approaches achieved 91% student engagement compared to 82% for single-modality instruction, with kinesthetic learners showing particular improvement during hands-on activities.  The findings demonstrate that effective media alignment depends on multimodal integration rather than rigid matching of single media types to individual learning preferences. Results support multimedia learning theory while extending understanding of practical implementation strategies in resource-constrained contexts. The study contributes evidence-based approaches for teacher professional development and differentiated instruction practices, emphasizing the importance of systematic diagnostic assessment and flexible pedagogical adaptation.
