Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has significantly transformed educational practices, particularly through the adoption of e-learning platforms such as Moodle-based Learning Management Systems (LMS). This study aims to analyze the research trends of Moodle-based e-learning in Indonesia using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish (PoP) software, with a limitation of 500 articles published between 2018 and 2023. After a screening and refinement process, 482 articles were selected for analysis. The data were then analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize bibliometric networks, including citation patterns and keyword co-occurrence. The results show a significant increase in publications during 2020 and 2021, driven by the implementation of distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most publications are indexed in SINTA, Scopus, and conference proceedings, with several highly cited articles indicating strong academic impact. The keyword “Moodle” appears as the most dominant term, reflecting its central role in e-learning research. Furthermore, the findings reveal that Moodle-based e-learning positively contributes to learning quality, knowledge acquisition, and student satisfaction across various educational levels. In conclusion, Moodle plays a crucial role in supporting self-directed and digital learning in Indonesia. However, further research is needed to enhance its long-term effectiveness, innovation, and global research visibility.

Abstract

The transformation of digital education has required pedagogical approaches capable of fostering meaningful and contextual collaborative learning experiences. The development of metaverse environments has created new opportunities to establish immersive learning spaces; however, their implementation has often remained technology-oriented and has not been supported by a systematic pedagogical framework. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of metaverseting-based pedagogy in transforming collaborative learning experiences within the digital education ecosystem. A qualitative approach with an interpretative case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, virtual participant observation, and document analysis, and were examined using thematic analysis. The findings indicated that metaverseting-based pedagogy reconstructed collaborative learning design, strengthened students’ social and cognitive presence, and enhanced engagement and knowledge co-creation within digital learning spaces. The results also revealed that the successful implementation of metaverseting was strongly influenced by the support of the digital education ecosystem, including institutional policies, infrastructure readiness, and digital pedagogical literacy. This study contributed to the development of a conceptual framework for metaverseting pedagogy and offered practical implications for educators and institutions in designing collaborative learning within immersive virtual environments.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence in higher education has created both opportunities and challenges in developing students’ critical thinking. While this technology has enhanced learning efficiency and accessibility, its unregulated use has risked weakening reflective and analytical capacities. Therefore, a pedagogical approach that integrates technological and value-based dimensions has become essential. This study aimed to analyze the synergy between artificial intelligence and prophetic pedagogy in enhancing students’ critical thinking. A descriptive qualitative approach with a meta-analysis method was employed, examining literature published between 2016 and 2025 from reputable digital databases. Data were collected through systematic digital documentation, while content and thematic analyses were applied for data interpretation. The findings indicated that artificial intelligence functioned effectively as an adaptive learning tool but required a value-based framework to optimize critical thinking development. The integration of prophetic pedagogy strengthened students’ reflective, ethical, and analytical dimensions. This study contributed to the development of an integrative paradigm that connects technology and values as a foundation for holistic and meaningful learning.
