Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to produce learning media Pop up book for reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN Godog; 2) to describe the quality of the Pop Up Book quality of Pop Up Book learning media products for reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN Godog based on product validity. This research uses the research method (R&D). Development research This development research refers to the 4-D development model development model developed by Thiagarajan which It consists of the stages: defining, designing, developing and disseminating. However, this research only reached the development stage. Subjects in this research The subjects in this study were grade 1 students of SDN Godog. The instruments used in this research The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The results of this study is the overall validity test gets a high score with criteria very feasible. Pop up book media validation got a score with an average of 88% very feasible criteria. Test based on teacher's response showed 91% and parent's response showed 90%, both with the criteria “very practical”, and the effectiveness of Pop up book media is declared “effective”. This can be seen from the test questions that have been done. Thus, the development of Pop up book media on material recognizes the letters of the alphabet for reading skills of grade 1 students elementary school has been feasible, and is feasible to be applied to Indonesian language learning on material to recognize the letters of the alphabet.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the growing perception that the sector education has failed in nurturing the younger generation, as can be seen from the increase incidents related to a decline in moral values. This condition occurs due to many reasons educational institutions that prioritize cognitive values and ignore values and ignore values moral. For this reason, the government must immediately take responsive action to ensure education national in accordance with Law. No. 20 of 2003, focuses on the application of values character as well as strengthening school culture, in order to achieve the aim of forming a generation with strong and competent character. This research carried out to find out how the implementation of religius character in building character values in students at SD Muhammadiyah 12 Surabaya. Researcher using a qualitative descriptive approach, with research subjects including students class IV, class teacher, and principal. The findings from this study show that implementation of a school culture that focuses on religious character at Muhammadiyah elementary school 12 Surabaya involes a series of routine activities that strengthen religious character, both in the classroom and within the school as a whole.

Abstract

Handwriting skills are crucial for elementary school students, especially those in the lower grades. However, handwriting difficulties, such as legibility, fluency, and neatness, still arise in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to describe the various approaches teachers use to address handwriting difficulties faced by second-grade students at SDN Sidotopo IV Surabaya. This study used a qualitative methodology and was designed as a case study. The subjects consisted of five students experiencing handwriting difficulties and one second-grade teacher. The Miles and Huberman model was used to analyze the data; other data collection methods included documentation, interviews, and observation. The results showed that teachers who used methods such as providing clear lettering examples, repeated writing practice, and direct feedback successfully improved legibility, fluency, and neatness in some students. However, handwriting skill development was not uniform. Each student's fine motor development, writing habits, and level of accuracy influence differences in their handwriting abilities. Therefore, for optimal development of students' handwriting skills, more individualized guidance and ongoing practice are necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ self-confidence in completing IPAS tasks. The research employed aqualitative approach involving 20 students as research participants. Data were collected through observation,interviews, and a self-confidence questionnaire. Observations and interviews were conducted to explore students’actual behaviors and factors influencing their self-confidence, while the questionnaire was used as supporting datato examine students’ self-perceptions. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, andconclusion drawing. The findings indicate that based on observations and interviews, students’ self-confidence incompleting IPAS tasks remains relatively low. Students tended to hesitate, showed limited confidence in their ownanswers, and relied on assistance from peers and teachers. In contrast, the questionnaire results revealed thatstudents perceived themselves as having a high level of self-confidence. This discrepancy suggests a gap betweenstudents’ self-perceptions and their observable behaviors during the learning process. Therefore, this studyhighlights the importance of employing multiple data collection techniques to obtain a more comprehensiveunderstanding of students’ self-confidence in IPAS learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of learning disorder in students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) characteristics in understanding the concept of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in grade III Elementary School. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design to examine in depth the phenomenon of learning difficulties in IPAS in students with ADHD in the natural context of the school. The study was conducted at Muhammadiyah 18 Elementary School in Surabaya with five third-grade students who were indicated to have ADHD characteristics as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation of learning behavior, semi-structured interviews with class teachers, and questionnaires to students to strengthen the validity of the findings. The results of the study showed several forms of difficulties, namely: (1) difficulty maintaining focus and concentration; (2) difficulty understanding long or gradual instructions; (3) obstacles in behavioral control and task management, such as impulsiveness and forgetfulness; and (4) low learning independence that requires intensive guidance and repetition of the material. Teachers are advised to apply adaptive learning strategies, utilize visual media, and simplify instructions according to the individual needs of students.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of discipline values through the Problem Based Learning model in Pancasila Education lessons in the 4th grade at SD Muhammadiyah 18 Surabaya. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method involving the fourth-grade teacher, students, and the school principal as research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that the implementation of Problem Based Learning is beginning to shape students' discipline values through indicators of punctuality, adherence to rules, and learning responsibility. Students are starting to get used to attending lessons on time, following the teacher's instructions, reading the LKPD guidelines, discussing in groups, and completing tasks according to their respective responsibilities. However, there are still some students who are less consistent in adhering to the rules and completing tasks. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model can help gradually instill the value of discipline in students through active and contextual learning.
