Abstract

The prevalence of developmental deviations in children aged 5 years in Indonesia reported by WHO in 2016 was 7,512.6 per 100,000 population (7.51%). In PAUD Permata UNDIP there are 1.7% of children aged 30-72 months with deviant development. Development is influenced by internal and external factors. The aim of the study was determined the analysis of factors that influence the developmental status of children aged 30-72 months at PAUD Permata UNDIP. The research used a quantitative, analytic research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all pre-school children and mothers who had children aged 30-72 months at Permata UNDIP PAUD, Semarang City, Central Java. The sampling technique used the total sampling technique so that 49 samples were obtained. Data collection used a questionnaire given to the students' mothers as well as a pre-screening developmental questionnaire (KPSP).The results show that the p value of the mother's education level is 0.000; mother's occupation 0.001; history of exclusive breastfeeding 0.001; child nutritional status 0.000; BBLR status 0.000; with ɑ = 0.01 there is a significant relationship between the above variables and the developmental status of children aged 30-72 months. From the factors that have been studied, the mother's education level and low birth weight (LBW) status are factors that have a strong relationship. The higher the level of mother's education, the better knowledge will be produced so that it can reduce deviations in child development. The community was expected to monitor child development and collaborate with health workers using the KPSP check-list sheet

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is a key indicator of healthcare success. This research aimed to examine the relationship between twin pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes (PROM) with the incidence of threatened preterm labor at Bali Royal General Hospital in 2023. This research is a correlational analytic study with a case-control design. The study was conducted from March to April 2023 using non-probability purposive sampling. The sample size consisted of 250 data points. Data collection involved gathering diagnoses of mothers, twin pregnancies, PROM, and threatened preterm labor. The relationship between twin pregnancy and PROM with the incidence of threatened preterm labor was analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of mothers with twin pregnancies experienced threatened preterm labor, amounting to 19 cases (7.6%). Most mothers with PROM also experienced threatened preterm labor, totaling 35 cases (14%). The conclusion was that gemeli pregnancies had almost 4 times the risk of developing threatened preterm labour. Premature rupture of membranes had almost 3 times the risk of developing threatened preterm labour.  Bali Royal Hospital accelerate socialization for pregnant women to prevent premature rupture of membranes and premature events. Socialization can be provided by providing information through social media, putting up posters in polyclinics and holding classes for pregnant women.

Abstract

The issues with the mother and child led to the possibility of a sectio cesarean delivery. To save the mother and fetus, the Sectio Cesarean method was employed. The research's objective was to identify the variables linked to cesarean section deliveries at Bali Royal General Hospital in 2023. such as cross-sectional correlational analytical study. Every mother who gave birth in 2023 was included in the research population. Purposive sampling was used to obtain a sample size of 84. use of chi-square data analysis. Mothers who are not at risk are more likely to give birth spontaneously behind the head, according to the study's findings. Meanwhile, CS affected 49 individuals, or 94.2% of the moms at risk. The p value is 0.001 0.05. More primigravida mothers gave birth via posterior birth, namely 11 people (73.3%). Multigravida mothers more often give birth by SC. The p value was 0.002 0.05. that the pregnancies ≤ 2 years apart were more likely to give birth by CS, namely 47 people (81%) while those 2 were more likely to give birth spontaneously behind the head. The p value is 0.001 0.05. fetuses that experience emergencies in all types of delivery by SC. The p value was 0.001 0.05. The conclusion was that there was a relationship between age, parity, gestational spacing and fetal distress with the incidence of CS. Pregnant women should regularly monitor their health during pregnancy and prepare for childbirth.

Abstract

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Bali Province in 2022 has decreased to 64.92%. This coverage is still below the national exclusive breastfeeding coverage target of 80%. One of the contributing factors is the lack of milk production in postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage is a non-pharmacological therapy that is applied with massage to the back area along the spine which aims to provide a relaxing sensation and can facilitate milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage therapy on postpartum mother post caesarea sectio with breastfeeding in early neonates. This type of research is an experiment using posttest only control group design. The number of samples was 26 samples in the treatment group and 26 samples in the conventional control group that met the inclusion criteria. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with interview data collection techniques. Data analysis in this study was univariate and bivariate analysis using the Independent t-test. The results of this study showed that P Value 0.000 0.05 this shows that there is an effect of oxytocin massage therapy on postpartum cesarean section with breastfeeding in early neonate. For breastfeeding mothers, the results of this study can be used as a reference in the application of oxytocin massage therapy to facilitate to increase milk production and increase maternal comfort through assistance from health workers, husband and families.

Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage constitutes 40% of the predominant etiologies of maternal mortality in Indonesia. Perineal lacerations precipitate secondary hemorrhaging. The weight of the neonate may influence the second stage of labor. An increase in fetal weight correlates with an elevated risk of perineal laceration. The objective of this study was to examine the correlation between neonatal birth weight and the prevalence of perineal lacerations during vaginal delivery at the Bali Royal General Hospital in 2023. This investigation employed a correlation analytical research design utilizing a cross-sectional approach. A total sample of 256 participants was obtained through comprehensive sampling. Secondary data were extracted from the electronic medical record system (e-RM). Data analysis was conducted using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. The findings indicated that the majority of perineal lacerations were classified as grade 2, affecting 196 individuals (79.4%), with the predominant occurrence in the normal birth weight category, which encompassed 234 subjects (94.7%). Notably, the majority of infants with normal birth weight experienced grade 2 lacerations, amounting to 192 individuals (98%), while infants born with higher weights exhibited grade 3 lacerations, totaling 11 individuals (78.6%), thus indicating a significant association with the incidence of perineal lacerations during vaginal delivery. It is imperative for expectant mothers to ensure the maintenance of fetal weight to avert excessive neonatal birth weight.

Abstract

Early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) involves breastfeeding immediately after birth, usually within 30 minutes to one hour. Babies are given the opportunity to initiate breastfeeding immediately after birth by allowing skin-to-skin contact with the mother for at least an hour or more, until the first feeding is complete. Several factors that affect the implementation of IMD are knowledge factors, maternal attitudes and family support. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes of postpartum mothers and family support with the implementation of early breastfeeding initiation at UPTD BLUD Puskesmas Praya Central Lombok. The type of research is quantitative, descriptive analytical method, with a cross-sectional research design. The study population of all mothers who gave birth was normal at the time of the study. The research sample was determined by the Total Sampling technique. The number of samples was 36 people. Data collection using questionnaires.  The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents had good knowledge as many as 35 people (97.22%), 34 people (94.40%) agreed and 32 people (89.90%) had family support. The analysis of the research data using the Rank Spearman test, the results were knowledge p (0.011) < α (0.05), attitude p (0.000) < α (0.05) and family support p (0.027) < α (0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes of postpartum mothers and family support with the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation at UPTD BLUD Puskesmas Praya.  The results of this study are expected to increase knowledge, attitudes and family support regarding the importance of IMD for the success of exclusive breastfeeding and the growth and development of children
